After growing up in the Midwest, Lori felt an immediate pull to the energy of New York City. She spent the first six years of her career working on Wall Street, traveling the world as an interest rate swap broker for emerging markets. In the midst of a crackdown on Wall Street regulations, she pivoted and collaborated in building an electronic side of the business, and went on to become one of the top revenue-generating female brokers in her company.
After leaving Wall Street, Lori dipped her toes into several businesses, including personal training and real estate. She ended up making an appearance on the reality series Million Dollar Listing, which was quite fun, but also helped her to realize that her true passion was in entrepreneurship and helping others to pursue their dreams and live their best lives.
To get some experience in the startup world, Lori took on a position as Head of Marketing and Sales for a pet product startup in Long Island, where she learned an incredible amount of valuable information about building a business. She was able to combine her new startup knowledge with her passion for animal welfare to build a socially conscious vegan coffee creamer company called Unicreamer that gives back to animal welfare programs.
The main inspiration for Unicreamer actually started during her Wall Street years when her hectic lifestyle lead to various health issues and weight gain. Supplementing her coffee with vitamins and protein throughout the day was the driving force behind her new found health and she knew she could help others as well.
