I'm Craig, if you don't know that.

i'm here in charleston south carolina originally from delaware i'm very glad that you're joining me today you know sunday mornings used to be a bit rough for me a day of recovery and not much else laying in bed ordering uber eats watching netflix all that stuff and if that's you this morning that's totally fine there's a chapter for everything trust me but hopefully i can pull you away from your sunday scaries for a little while

Over time, for me, Sundays have transformed into something a little more special. They're peaceful, re-energizing, nice, calming, a way to prepare for the week or a day to just be as lazy as humanly possible with my girlfriend or even by myself, resting my brain and getting it ready for the next week. Like, that's okay. At least that's the goal, right? But man, is the world noisy right now.

I mean, you can try your absolute hardest to stay away from all the negativity, but it's tough sometimes. So it's okay to be aware of everything going on. Trust me. You want to know. Just don't let it consume you. My goal is to be a positive addition to your ecosystem by talking for a half hour about good news and happy thoughts. We have some heartwarming stories, inspiring questions from you, and a feel-good segment to kick things off.

I hope that together we can make this time just as special for you. So grab your favorite cup of coffee, wrap yourself in a cozy blanket and get comfortable with your favorite pillow. Maybe it's an SDS pillow. I hope this podcast brings a little extra joy to your Sunday morning. First up, I have a delightful story about some penguins that will surely bring a smile to your face.

Before we talk about Miss Wendy, the penguin, I want to do a little bit of housekeeping. I've got my cup of coffee today. I made a cafe barista. Nick's also on here, our producer, but I sometimes talking just to myself is a little tough, so I'm getting used to it. But I made a cafe barista with some cinnamon and nutmeg.

I, uh, I'd like a cozy cup of coffee like that. I still need a little bit of flavor, but I have, if you notice a sewing down South holiday pillow behind me, every episode I will be giving away, um, either a pillow or other piece of merchandise from my home decor company, sewing down South. Um, we will get you instructions on how to, uh,

sign up for the giveaway. But right now, just leave us a voice message at the link in my bio and Nick's bio. Include your email address if you would like to be considered for the giveaway. We will randomize them after logging them into a system, our system, you know, just the randomizer. And for all of those who left me messages, thank you so much for your beautiful messages. They were truly inspiring. There was some grief in there. There were some great questions.

I'm really excited to have that aspect of the show. However, I'm not sure if you want me to include your voice or not. And so for now on, when you leave me a message, please include whether you want me to use your voice or you want me to read a transcription of your message. So today, the messages you hear will just be me reading them because I can't

I can't for sure play a message and be okay with it without knowing that. So without further ado, once again. We have some great news coming out of the European Endangered Species Program that has to do with penguins, which...

Pretty sure it's top five animal for me that I'd like to hang out with. But a Humboldt penguin named Wendy. Humboldt penguins actually are usually found in Peru and Chile, but this program aims to bring back vulnerable populations. But this Humboldt penguin, Wendy, she's actually 30 years old, which makes her...

One of the oldest parents in the world had a baby chick recently with her boy toy, Nacho.

Nacho is only four years old. So Wendy has had over 20 chicks at this point in her life with her old partner, Jet. But he recently passed away. And so when Nacho started to court Wendy last year, the zoo officials were like, this is never going to happen. But she got pregnant last year, but her two eggs didn't hatch. And they didn't think it was going anywhere. They thought she was too old to have babies. And this year...

one hatched so congratulations to Wendy and Jet if Wendy was a human I think she would qualify as a cradle robber but I think it's awesome

i don't know i just love penguins like i think it would be so fun to visit south africa or antarctica or a place with penguins good luck getting my girlfriend there to antarctica um but they're just they're the most fun animals and their friends over uh at the edinburgh zoo muffin and mittens had twins and they are also endangered

So the penguin breeding program over in Europe is doing great. Shout out to Wendy and her partner Nacho for their new baby chick. Unfortunately, there's still no sign of Pimento Cheese Conover, which is the penguin that Paige adopted for me for my birthday a couple years ago. We had plans to visit Pimento Cheese, but after Paige was scammed out of her donation, probably, we have lost track of our penguin.

I have an adorable story about Bentley, a little two-year-old with a cleft lip. And it all started when his father went to the animal shelter to adopt some chickens, which I would love to adopt some chickens, but my neighborhood won't let me. I just don't feel like I could get away with that. I do have bees, which is a secret, so shh, don't tell anyone. But anyway, Bentley's dad was at the animal shelter, and he noticed a puppy named Lacey.

a little Labrador mix puppy that also had a cleft lip. And so Bentley's father called his mom and told her about it. And she was like, you have to bring Lacey home. And so when he brought the puppy home, Bentley instantly ran up to the puppy, bonded with them and said, look, look, Lacey has the same boo-boo as me. And so I found, hopefully you found that as heartwarming as myself. What are the chances?

We have a really nice story about a widow, actually. And this widow's name was Trudy. She spent decades traveling with her husband. Her and her husband, Alk, they literally went to Asia, Europe, all over, Australia. And he passed away last year, sadly. And she hasn't been able to travel since because that was their thing. And so earlier this year in April, she told herself that, you know what, to honor Alk,

They had always wanted to go on a safari together. And so she went to South Africa to go on a safari by herself for two weeks. Well, while at breakfast, she just had this chance encounter with a TV executive from the States. And the TV executive and her friends invited Trudy to join them on the safari. And they just hit it off and became great friends and spent the rest of the trip together, calling themselves the Kenyan Cousins.

Fortunately, this group stayed in touch when they got back to the States and they continue to FaceTime to this day and they're planning a trip to the Galapagos Islands. And so I was really happy to hear that she had found new friends to travel with because I don't know, there's something about spending your life with someone and then, you know, there's so many amazing memories, but then them leaving, I just...

I can't imagine that feeling of lost and heartbreak, but because of her bravery to get back out there, she's found a whole new lease on life, which is really neat. So props to Trudy and the Kenyan cousins who are all in their 70s and 80s.

Now, speaking on people passing away, I know this is supposed to be a good news podcast, but a woman in Arizona recently lost her husband, who was only 39, and they had three kids together. And she just couldn't bear the thought of putting her kids through a normal funeral, like a traditional funeral where everyone...

you know, sits around and cries. And yes, it's a celebration of life, but they suck, right? Anyone that's been to a funeral knows they suck. It's really sad. And she said, you know what? Why don't I turn this into a funeral? Which I don't really like that name, but I like the concept. And so instead of having a traditional funeral,

She had a party and she had bounce castles. She had her husband's old records out, all these arts and crafts. And basically you could take home a goodie bag of her husband's favorite things when you left there. And she said she saw her kids. They're all between ages eight and 12 smile the entire day. And she's like, obviously, it's still really sad that their father passed and they'll be sad about that. But when they think about the day of his funeral, it will be a happy memory.

So shout out to Miss Katie Young. I think that should be normalized. I think funerals should be fun like that. My dad always said he wanted his funeral to be like, have a cooler beer for everyone and play Bruce Springsteen. He's like, I don't want everyone like sitting around crying, like have chips and dip and put my urn at the center of the bar and have some fun. Make it a party. And now for some great science news. This one is actually quite a doozy.

Doctors have actually had a breakthrough when it comes to making a universal blood that for blood transfusions, blood donors. Basically, they've figured out how to take enzymes from our stomach bacteria, which I don't know why sometimes that freaks me out.

But they're basically able to use them to strip blood cells of the A and B antigens. And so when you hear people talk about what blood type they are, it's the actual antigens in the blood cells that determine that. They've now figured out how to make a universal blood. They had a 95% success rate for blood type O. And if this works...

They can take any donated blood in the world, or basically, I could donate blood to Nick, even if we had different blood types. And so it's a really, I was kind of blown away reading about this. You know how the world goes, now they have to apply for a patent, which, well, they've applied for that. This could be a huge breakthrough, and they got to go through a lot of trials. But I thought that was really neat to see how advanced we're getting.

in the healthcare world. There has also been a development in plastic, which I know this might initially rub people the wrong way. But here's the thing. More things in your life are made from plastic than you will ever realize until you look. And the fact of the matter is, when it comes to disaster zones or war zones or remote areas,

Plastic water bins, plastic toilets, plastic stuff is just really necessary, but it's hard to get it there. And so this startup has made a portable factory that can basically 3D print plastic goods and it's powered by the sun.

And so it can be deployed in remote areas or after hurricanes or other natural disasters to make things for like water storage, you know, portable toilets. Like I said, they can make storage for medicine and supplies and food containers. And so it's really neat. According to people that do on the ground work, this is a game changer. And they said it will help literally help save lives. So yeah,

I know we don't need any more plastic in this world, but the thing is, is that we haven't figured out how to live without it just yet because it is the most convenient thing. And so that's a new startup or a new tech thing there. With that, we're going to take a quick commercial break to try to pay our light bills.

I would like to talk to you about one of our sponsors, Timeline Nutrition, and one product in particular, MitoPure. MitoPure is one of the first products to offer a precise dose of urolithin A to help upgrade your mitochondrial function, help increase cellular energy, and help improve muscle strength and endurance. I've started taking it recently and have started to tell that there is definitely one I work out or am active. But MitoPure does more than just help with my muscle health.

it can help with health stand as well. I want to be one of those granddads one day that you see in the video of him swinging his grandkid around. I want to rely on myself for as long as I possibly can. One way to think of MitoPure is that they are in your cells, chomping up the damaged mitochondria that makes you feel old and tired and helping to recycle it into new healthy ones.

ones. Mitochondria, our cells' power generators, are one of the key influences in how we age. However, as the years pass, mitochondrial efficiency naturally declines, representing a large gap in the quality of life we expect in our later years and the one we experience.

Taking two soft gels a day for two months and you could see significant improvements in your cellular energy, muscle strength, and endurance. After four months of taking Mito Pure, you might feel yourself getting stronger, recovering faster after a workout, and experiencing less inflammation, all part of your healthier aging routine, which is honestly amazing.

Timeline is offering 10% off your first order of Mito Pure. Go to timeline.com slash pillowsandbeer. That's T-I-M-E-L-I-N-E dot com slash pillowsandbeer. This is our first episode of a weekly short series podcast where I will be delivering good news, happy stories, and answering listener questions.

and sharing their stories, whether they're happy or grief or whatever they may be. And so that link is in my Instagram bio and Pillars and Beer Instagram bio where you can leave me a voice message. Be sure to let me know if you want me to include your voice in the podcast or if you just want me to read a transcript. I love, I mean, we got hundreds of messages and I actually listen to every single one. So thank you very much. Moving on.

I've got some really cool charitable stories. And so every week I'm going to highlight some charities doing some really good work around the country, maybe the world, but really localized charities that

are doing good stuff, good stuff. And I've already been in touch with people who left me voice messages about, uh, I've got some great stories about, um, some special Olympic cheerleaders that I'll talk about next week. And I have some really great charities doing some awesome work around, um,

Uh, there's some in Nashville. Someone left me messages of some in Arizona with some in Chicago. And so also, and tell me about your charity, uh, in those voice messages and also include an email so I can follow up. Cause I'd love to include them, but today I'm going to be talking about blessings in a backpack. And so this charity started back in 2006 when a substitute teacher named Missy, uh, was filling, subbing in for a teacher during, I think it was fourth grade, uh,

And one of her students asked if she could have Missy's apple when they were leaving the class. And she was just like, or she saw her put it, the apple in her book bag. I still call it a book bag. I guess it is a book bag for those students. Paige says it's a backpack, but the Missy was curious and she asked her student why she was doing that. And the student replied that on weekends, she doesn't have enough to eat. And she,

She just realized that so many kids depend on school lunch to eat and school breakfast. And so she went home, she packed 30 backpacks full of food and discreetly handed them out to students so that, you know, the other students didn't know, you know, that they were taking food home. You know, they just thought that they had an extra backpack.

And so now, Blessings in a Backpack provides discreet backpacks. Sorry, I keep saying backpacks. Filled with nutritious food for children to take home. I will read that part. But they operate on donations and volunteer support. I did look up the charity. It is rated high enough for me to talk about. I won't do charities that are rated under 75% on here. I want you all to trust me. So I just...

i don't know food insecurities i do a lot at fort campbell with hope for the warriors and i didn't know there was active duty people with food insecurities but that's a story for another day and so to think of students going home and not having food on the weekends because there's no school lunch or breakfast really stung my heart and so i ask everyone listening i think our goal should be

I don't want to say, you know, the goal should be $5. You know, I would love to get all of our listeners to donate $5 to the charity that I highlight. However, not everyone has $5 right now and it's a tough time. So even a dollar, you know, I'll do charities that you can even do a dollar or $2. And I will tell you that there's just something about giving back that will make you feel accomplished and purposeful. And like you have a,

a purpose bigger than yourself. I mean, it's really what drives me kind of putting a, trying to put a smile on as many people's faces as possible. Anyway, great job. Blessings in a backpack. You can find them blessings in a backpack.org. I want to talk about a medium sized charity. Also just for fun. I, I, when I was doing some research this week, I didn't know this existed, but it's called the feel good fridge program.

If you ever wondered what happens to old fridges, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they end up in landfills. And so Whirlpool, uh,

everyone knows what Whirlpool is, started this program where you can donate your fridge to them and they'll actually fix, like refurbish them at their big facility, like their transfer facilities. And so if you have an old garage fridge or you're replacing your garage fridge or getting a new fridge for your house, whatever it may be, this is kind of a cool alternative than throwing it away. And so they fix it up and then they pack it

What they do with the fridge, I guess that's important. They put them, they give them to like food drives around the country and they're actually stocked with food working with partners like HelloFresh and TQL. So I thought that was a cool thing that Whirlpool's doing and I just didn't know that that was an option. I've donated an old car before, but I feel I've definitely thrown a refrigerator away and wish I knew about the Feel Good Fridge Program.

So now I'm going to answer some of your questions. We have a link where you can submit voice messages to us as you do this. Please let me know if you want me to include your voice or if you want me to read your message, um,

And or if you know, just give me parameters, give me as much information as you can so I can use it. So today I'm actually just going to read them because I don't feel comfortable sharing their voice without permission. I got a lot of great submissions, a lot of people asking for advice, a lot of people sharing stories of grief. A couple of people were crying and it really warmed my heart to connect like that.

and a lot of funny stories um a lot of submissions about charities in their area and i can't wait to feature some more on the next episode of the cozy morning chat so let's get into it okay here we go for the first question of the cozy morning chat hi craig i feel like you would be a really good person to ask advice from so here it goes i just found out

that my friend that I have feelings for and our other best friend are now dating. It's kind of always been like the three of us, and now the two of them have decided to explore something more, which I think would make anybody, you know, freak out a little bit when you're the third wheel. But I think even more so because I live with one of them, so I can't really escape it. Big fan. Thank you for doing this.

This is definitely, I guess what people would say, quite the pickle. If you want to know the real answer is you're probably, I mean, this is going to sound harsh, but you have to be realistic. It sounds like you've put your romantic life on hold for a little while because you really like this person. We've all been there before, right? It sounds like being in the friend zone, right?

I've been there before years ago and I,

you know, this is who I focused on this one person while they were dating other people. But I always thought I was better for them or that they would eventually realize that I was the best. And what you do is you waste a lot of time, but you learn lessons. And if you have feelings for this person and they are now dating your friend, the truth is, is that things will never be the same. And you're not going to be able to be around them. If you did tell them your feelings, they wouldn't like...

that would, your friendship would cease to exist too. Like you guys could all be kind to each other. But the thing is, is like, you kind of have to break up with this person in your head. You know, you need to go out there and live your life. You know, if things don't work out with these two people, then you could pursue it maybe after, but there is no way in this situation that you guys, that things stay the same and you're able to treat yourself how you should be treating yourself because you have to make your, your,

your mental health and your feelings a priority here and hanging out with someone that you like when they're with your friend and you think you'd be better for them just isn't good for you. And I know you're probably thinking, well, I don't want to my friendship with them to end. Like I don't want things to change, but that life's full of chapters. And in this situation,

with the cards you've been dealt. It's just time to move on. And I know that you live with them and maybe it's time to start looking for other living arrangements. I mean, this is a crazy...

I feel crazy delivering this answer, but I feel like that's the harsh truth is that things will never be the same again. Your guy's friendship will probably never be the same. And I think you need to kind of go through a breakup in your own head and move on a little bit and put yourself out there, man. That was tough guys. I don't like non happy endings. Uh,

But here's the thing that is, that's going to be a happy ending. Like you're going to find your person, right? Like no one, it just in this, it just sucks for a little bit. No one's ever not better off after a breakup. You know, who, who do you know out there? That's like, man, Rebecca has never been the same since she broke up with Jim. It's like, no, she found her husband, Jason, you know, or her wife, Kathleen, like breakups suck.

But you always end up being better off after. And so being able to see the sun through the storm clouds is the key. The rain's going to end. Like this is going to suck, right? You're losing not only your crush, but a friendship, two friends, basically you're losing, but your husband's waiting for you or your wife's waiting for you. Like something on the other end is going to be better for you and you're going to be okay.

I mean, but what else do you tell them to do? The only way that friendship is safe is if you start dating someone else, like pretty much immediately. Yeah, but then you can't hang out with the boy that you still like if you're dating someone. Not if you don't like him anymore. It's funny how it's quickly when you start dating someone else. But yeah, no, the honest answer. She wants you to be honest. Be honest. That's the honest answer is that things will never be the same and you should move on. Exactly. And you're going to be okay a year from now. Like you will look back at this and laugh.

Next question is from a man named Cameron. He wants to know how I took my sewing to from a hobby to a business. And I think this is a great question. I talk about it a lot when I'm speaking around the country at home shows. Um, I'm going to pair that into another question. A nice lady asked how I got into sewing, if it was from my mom or my aunt or grandmother or any of that. Actually,

it was from home ec class which is why i'm trying to bring home ec back in schools but in seventh grade we spent half the year cooking no matter what sport you played no matter what your hobby was everyone took home ec and everyone took tech ed so you spent the first half of the year cooking

which is where my love of cooking came from. And I'd go home and watch Elton Brown and on good eats and Emeril Lagasse. And, um, it's how I trained myself to cook. And then the second half of the episode or the semester, the school end, sorry, was sewing.

And that's how I learned to sew. And then when I started sewing again after a breakup in my 20s, I learned from YouTube and Google. And you can literally Google anything. I think it's really funny. There is a lady that does YouTube videos about the most rudimentary sewing tips.

tips, uh, all the way up to advanced sewing tips and her, her videos were like eight years old and only had like 35 views. And I was like several of those views. And I always wonder if she knew that probably not. So anyway, Cameron wants to know a nice gentleman wants to know how I took my sewing from a hobby and turned it into a career, uh, having partners partners is what did it. Uh, I, I speak on this when I travel the country and speak at home shows,

It was a hobby for a year. I thought I had a business. I had a lot of people wanting to buy pillows, but I couldn't get out of my own way. I have OCD and deal with perfectionism stuff. And I had all these pillows in my dining room and I just couldn't get myself to send them out to people. And so my friend Jerry called me from college and said, are you working with anyone? And I said, no. And his sister-in-law

Amanda and him and put together a business plan for me for the company, but they wanted to split the company in thirds. But I grew up watching Shark Tank and didn't think I was supposed to give up 50% of my business. And my dad said, "Well, you've been doing it for a year by yourself.

You can either have all of nothing or still a decent sized chunk of what could become something bigger. And the SDS story is, I think it's really neat and there's a lot to it and I'll talk about it on other episodes. I don't want to waste, well not waste, but I don't want to dedicate too much time to it here.

But I tell people a tip to expand a small business because I hope people don't feel guilty spending time on their side hustle. I think COVID helped a lot with that. But start to donate some of the proceeds of sales to local charities because what you'll do, what you need to do is give someone an excuse or a reason to buy your product. They might want your product, but they can't justify it until you give them that small little excuse. If I buy this custom-made product,

coffee table. I'm also helping the animals down at the shelter, you know? And so just a small percentage of the proceeds of your sales should go to a local charity. And what happens is

your local news stations hold slots open for people doing good in the community. And if you are a company donating to local charities, you actually can then go on to those morning shows. So like on Sunday, back when I lived in Delaware, down here in Charleston, they had like a cozy corner chat and they'll actually feature business. So start to donate to charities, give people a reason or an excuse to buy your product. And that's my suggestion for that.

Also get on Etsy, download ShipStation. ShipStation's a game changer and Shopify. ShipStation, Shopify, and get on Etsy. I have a great question from Miss Doreen here asking that if I could go back into time, what advice would I give season one Craig? You know what's crazy is I started filming when I was 24. Well, actually I started filming season one when I was 24. I was 23 when we filmed the trailer.

And I'm 36 now. So it's been 12 years. And, you know, I've, I've started to come into this clarity that you are exactly where you are because of all your mess ups and the things that happened in your life. Like, if you think about it, you're the only version of you that will ever exist.

Even if this was like, even if they can computer code our brains, there would be no way to ever design someone like you that has your brain, has your EQ, has your IQ and has been through the life experiences and the challenges and the tribulations and ups and downs. So you truly are the so unique in the sea of billions of people.

My point is, is that I don't know the advice I would give him because I wouldn't have ended up today. I will be fun now. And I would tell him to get his shit together. Probably. I'd tell him that you're 24 years old. Um, you know, you can have fun, but you

you know, try to find some balance. I think that's what I was missing was balance. I, I was an all or nothing person. You know, I spent all the money I made those first two seasons on doing everything that I ever wanted to do. I was finding validation going out and, and,

You know, I guess I needed that in my 20s. Like, I wanted to live the rock star lifestyle, the reality TV version. And I'm really lucky that nothing bad happened, you know? I mean, I had to move home after season two because I spent all my money, you know,

you know, I had to borrow a couple bucks from my parents to pay off my credit cards, which I paid back. But like, you know, I messed up and I think I've learned to be easy on my, I've, I've learned to be kind to myself and, and understand that it happens and it's okay. Um,

you know, beating yourself up really used to bog me down. And that's why I opened up the podcast by saying tomorrow's the next day of the rest of your life. Cause it really helped me. So season one advice to Craig, I'm trying to be fun here, but I don't know what it would be. I think.

you know, just find a little bit more balance. You know, that's, that's what, what I would say with the partying and with work. And I mean, really the procrastination is what killed me. You know, it was the reason I wasn't allowed to take the bar because I hadn't finished my paper, which just so everyone knows, I never lied about that. Um, Shep just didn't understand what had happened. I had applied to take the bar. I wasn't allowed to take the bar.

I think I would have cleaned up the law school stuff a little better. I don't know. I was just going through my 20s, though. I think that's the beautiful part. It's messy, and I'm glad that I can share that journey with people now. I mean, some of it sucked being filmed. I mean, I couldn't watch for years. But now I can show people that I'm still figuring it out. I'm still just trying to put one foot in front of the other. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There's...

There's some ups and downs and it's not too late to figure it out. So I would tell season one, Craig, just to hang in there. Don't get too down on himself, travel as much as he can and enjoy the life that he's been blessed with.

And then to wrap up our messages this week, I will say that I have a quick little piece of advice, which is I only have one Instagram account, which is CAConover. It is the only one I have. I do not have fan accounts and my team does not reach out to anyone on my behalf.

I got a lot of voice messages asking if I had so-and-so helping me or so-and-so, if I had an alternate account, a CA Conover 2 as me. I'm really happy you reached out because I was able to leave voice messages back saying that's not me. So that's one thing.

Number two, fun little secret from a woman who just wanted to get it off her chest. Sometimes she stays up late enough watching movies on the couch with her husband so that he falls asleep and then she goes into the bedroom so that she can have the bed to herself, which totally get. And I feel like there are many, many females out there that, um,

Uh, not guilty of that, but share that secret. Um, I hate waking up on the couch. I'm like, Paige, what the heck? Like I always stay out of the couch until she wakes up and then I take her to bed. But, oh, to not take things personally is a wonderful gift that I didn't learn until my mid thirties.

And to truly wrap up this section, I know this week's been a little longer than usual, but I'm still figuring it out and I hope you enjoyed it. But I was asked a really nice question about my journey with alcohol. It's, I think I have a fun, lighthearted way to just give a little bit of share my journey with everyone, which I love.

changed my relationship with alcohol. And it is the reason why I can now have a podcast on Sunday morning. So excited to share that because I posted a picture of a non-alcoholic beer at the airport the other day. And man, the messages were just so clear that, oh, we didn't know you were sober. Like, oh my God. And I was like, wow, like they're really, it's, they haven't, society hasn't made it okay to just

like want to have a non, you know, want to have a beer, but not have alcohol on like a Wednesday. Um, so I hope maybe I can be an ambassador for cutting back on drinking. Uh, so not every activity in your life has to be a drinking activity, which I always showed up and looked for a beer as soon as I got somewhere. Um, anyway, to each their own, it won't be a huge part, but it was a nice question. I got a couple of them about people being like, well, maybe I don't always want to be

you know doing this maybe i want to do a month and i i there's an app that i used on my phone it's called reframe why wait till next week i'll add more to my story till next week but reframe changed my life and um i love it so there is a middle ground it's not all or nothing and man nick i can't even make a short ques i can't even make a question i'm going to answer next week into a short uh statement i i hope everyone enjoyed my very first episode i

I had a calling to do this and I want to share it with you guys and set everyone up for a nice week. Tomorrow really is the next day of the rest of your life. That saying got me through so much and it is why I am where I am today. Vera Wang didn't make her first dress until she was like 54 years old. You have so much time no matter where you are in life and you're doing so much better

than you give yourself credit for and you're way more fortunate than you realize. Someone's walking into a chemo treatment right now. Someone just found out that chemo is not even an option. Someone's looking for a glass of water to drink or a bite to eat.

somewhere cool to sleep or I don't know, maybe they're too hot to sleep. You know, so try to be kind to yourself and have a little gratitude today and take it all in and just smile, take a breath. And, you know, whether you messed up last week or messed up this weekend or you're not where you think you should be, everything's going to be okay. And I think as long as we stay nice and kind to each other, that's what counts. So do me a favor.

Keep your eye out for me this week. If you don't see me, then pay that compliment to a stranger and see their face light up. Nice shoes, nice sweater, nice hat, no matter what they look like or who they are.

Pay a stranger a compliment for me, and I'll see you when I see you. At Hotels.com, we know some travelers crave an ocean breeze. Others don't want to deal with sand.
