What's up guys, it's Sam and Taylor and we want you to put your shoes on, pop open that energy drink and go.
Hello guys, welcome back to another episode. I'm Taylor. I'm Sam. So this episode is such a good one guys because we are talking with Mimi Bouchard. I've looked up to her as just someone on social media for such a long time with what she does on her app and her meditations and her journey and just like everything she posts. I love her. She's like the kindest soul and we had a really great conversation. So you should definitely listen. It's a really good one. It's just about kind of like finding yourself and like
I don't know, like working toward your goals, meditation, all that kind of good stuff. We really enjoyed it, but we have exciting things to catch up on. We do. Not
Not only do we have things to look forward to this week, but we do need to catch up on our past week. Well, I think the biggest thing that everyone needs to hear... My cat just knocked over something outside, so I hope it wasn't that important. The biggest thing everyone needs to hear is that we have spent so many hours of the last five days programming our fitness app. Yeah, that's true. I almost forgot about that.
even mention that that's been consuming our week like the only thing i was gonna talk about yeah no guys we have been working and busting our fucking ass off to get this damn app done yes someone i actually got a really funny comment and they were like this guy was trying to give me shit for my tiktok engagement being bad and listen i get it my account was banned like i'm grinding to get my engagement back you don't have to tell me my engagement's bad okay because i i check my analytics i know
So he was like, yeah, that's why your fitness app has been coming soon for three months. I was like, if it was... You think that... It's been coming soon for like over a year. Yeah. I'm like, I wish it took three months. Like if it was three months, I would have been the biggest compliment if I got an app from scratch done in three freaking months. I'm a long time coming. So we're coming out with a fitness subscription app. If you guys don't know, it is basically...
Well, as of right now, there's going to be more and more programs. But two of the main programs we put in there right now, it's kind of like exactly the workouts we were doing. Yeah. Like so we have in gym programs, beginner and advanced. But like the in gym advanced is like exactly what we were doing. Like the first fall that I lived here. Yeah. Yeah.
100% because that's what we were like we were that's the time when we were programmed yeah it's basically exactly that like so kind of when like the biggest part of our fitness transformation was happening like when we started to lift heavier when we started to like really make progress like all of that kind of stuff those are the workouts that we based them on just kind of like being all over fit strong um all of that so we've been programming them all in it's a it's like over 100 weeks of workouts and we're manually sitting there like
back squat three by ten for every single one week one day one picture everything yeah so make sure you guys are following the instagram it's fitness uncensored dot app on instagram give that a follow that's where all the updates will be and i know we said this like a few weeks ago hopefully we'll get a launch date but like we've been just running into like roadblock after roadblock so i don't even want to put a launch date out until it's like 100
100%, but definitely coming very soon. So we're excited about that. And we'll obviously, too, besides just the workouts, have great recipes in there. Yeah. So just like frame of reference, just be prepared. You know, you're going to have those New Year's fitness goals. So around that time, maybe hold off if you want ours and it's not out yet. Just it's going to come. Yeah. Like into New Year, it'll be ready. Yeah. And that wasn't even planned.
Because we're supposed to come out in the summer. It takes a long fucking time. But I guess around New Year's is like... Yeah, perfect time. It's perfect. Because everyone wants something new fitness-wise to do in New Year's. So it kind of worked out, but that wasn't even the intention. So it's not even like we're trying to sell you some new year, new me. That wasn't even on purpose. But I guess it worked out. Yeah. Anyways. Yeah, let's get into the week because it's been a lot. It's been...
A great week in my opinion. Yeah. I mean, I was about to say the opposite. Oh, well, I'm just like, I haven't had my period yet. And I just feel like my body is like acting all funky. And like, I just like don't feel like myself. And like, I'm just like, no, I'm not feeling good at all.
I haven't had my period. So it's been what? Four months? Yeah, that was my, I had my fourth period. Yeah, four months. First period was like a dry bleed like type thing. It went and came and now I have not had my period. So like honestly, like what I think what I'm going to do, I was telling Taylor is I'm going to reach out to the hormonal nutritionist that we had on our podcast and see if I can get help from her.
maybe take a hormone test and just see like where I need to go from there because I just like don't feel good. I don't know how to explain it, but like
it's just it's not fun yeah it's stressing me out too so it's like on top of like not feeling good it's also like the stress added on to it because i'm not getting my period not helping like i get like these weird like i don't even know how to explain it but like right now this week i've been getting like weird like this is the week i'm supposed to get my period and you get cramps and i'm having like these weird ass cramps i'm like bro just give me my fucking period like we were at the gym today and i was like
like at the very end of my workout before i went on the treadmill like i was sitting there and i got like a weird cramp and i was like okay that's fucking weird like did i just get my period and then i went to the bathroom there was nothing there i was like fuck damn it i want period and then i just went on the treadmill and walked around yeah um i feel like you're gonna get dms like sam are you pregnant no bro i had not have sex in like i was thinking about this i had not had sex in like six months i'm deprived interesting last man was the man like starts with a d wow i
Okay, so I actually feel... That was the last guy. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah. I feel kind of bad because I feel like totally the opposite. I feel like I could almost shed a tear of how happy I am. I don't think I need my antidepressants anymore after coming off birth control. I just don't... I don't think you guys understand...
how good I feel. And it's like, I just feel so content with like life. And obviously it's a lot of things, but even when like, let's say I was on the pill, everything could be lining up and I'd still be like insanely depressed, but now everything's lining up and I'm actually like happy about it, which is like fucking wild. And I haven't felt like that in like three years. So I just feel great. And I've been like eating really healthy and like
adding a lot of like healthy things into my life. Like I drink like these chia seeds every single day and it makes me feel so healthy. I will say I have also been eating... Like the food-wise, like I've been feeling fucking amazing. The food we've been cooking, like I just love not having to worry about like macros and calories and just like eating whatever the fuck I want. Yeah, I'm very micronutrient focused right now. Like I want things that...
are just so, like, good for me. Like, having a bowl, like, even though it's, like, high in fat, like, olive oil and avocado and pumpkin seeds, like, things that are just, like, so, like, good for you and, like, good for your hormones. And, like, it just feels, like, so good. Yeah, I've been doing kind of the same. Not really fast just because, like, I don't know. I'm not usually, like, fat, gal. It makes me feel, like, fatigued. But I do high protein. Like, I just...
You're gonna find this like I don't know if you're gonna find this gross but like a fucking juicy ass like a big like chicken breast with salt and garlic powder has been like my go-to and it just like my mouth's watering thinking about it. I just cannot wait for dinner later. Like I've been drenching all my food in salt.
I love it. Oh, me too. I've been drenching a lot of my food in salt too. I actually made a TikTok about that. Oh, wait. We need to talk about that for a second because it makes me so sad the amount of people that commented on that TikTok saying, like, how do you get past that? Or, like, I'm struggling with this. Because, like, I've been there and it, like, melts my heart to think that, like, people are in that situation. Because, like, I remember not putting any seasoning on my food because I was terrified of all of that. Yeah. So I posted a TikTok saying it was to the audio, like, I remember when I lost my mind or whatever. And I said...
I remember when I used to not put salt on anything because I thought salt made you gain weight because I heard salt can make you bloated and just ran with it. And I thought that meant any ounce of salt in my food is going to make me bloated. But that is simply just lack of education. So I'm going to educate you on why salt is actually the direct opposite. Everyone is like, drink so much water, drink so much water, staying hydrated is important. If you don't have any sodium in your body,
That is dehydrating you. Obviously, too much sodium is dehydrating you, but not enough sodium is dehydrating you even more. That's why when you buy electrolyte packets like Liquid IV, Waterboy, and
element, like any of those things, that is salt. Like that is sodium to hydrate you. So if you feel dehydrated after you drink and you put some element electrolytes in your water and you drink it and you feel so much better, it's salt. And that's why you feel hydrated. And too little sodium, especially if you guys are listening, you probably work out, you probably sweat, right? Because you're here because you're into fitness is so dangerous for your body. It is not good at all to not have enough sodium intake.
it's full of electrolytes, full of minerals, keeps you hydrated. Too much salt to make you bloated is like a lot of salt. It's like eating like takeout for lunch and dinner and like packaged snacks, like crazy amounts. Salting your food is literally good for you. Like it's as good for you as eating like
the broccoli that's in your dinner like the salt is literally beneficial to your diet so there you go she said what she said so go fucking season your fucking plain ass broccoli and french fries okay ladies we we treat ourselves right around here we season our food correctly yeah i'd say the only time you should be worried i even get dms um what did i eat fuck
I ate something and someone was like, oh my God, the sodium in those. I can't remember. But I posted something there like, oh, but the sodium. And I was like, if you're having packaged food, McDonald's, Panda Express, like Chinese takeout multiple times, then it's like, okay, maybe think like that's a lot of sodium. But if you like aren't eating stuff like that, you're not eating like insane amounts of like
overly processed like chips and you drink a lot of water it doesn't matter yeah no not like you're you're literally fine and if you eat too much sodium because you went out for sushi and you drink like put soy sauce and everything just drink a lot of water and work out the next day and it'll go you'll pee it out like it's fine yeah like i i literally put like a massive like i don't even measure my fucking salt which like i can't see it when i'm like pouring it so i don't know how much i'm pouring i just go yeah i just go crazy but i pour i put it literally in my cream of rice in the morning i put it like
like every meal like i'm grabbing that fucking shaltz shaker so yeah like i'm telling you guys like you just i feel like the same people that just because it's a very diet culture thing that may be salting food or soy sauce you're like too much sodium i'm gonna get bloated but like you'll drink a liquid iv and it's like that's sodium like it's salt so it's just like food for thought it's just kind of getting out of that like diet culture thing and realizing that it's it's literally good for you i promise
Another thing I wanted to touch on too is I was like walking on a walk and I don't know how I like this popped into my mind or my memory, but I had, I jotted it down when I was on my walk and
Maybe it was a podcast I was listening to and someone said something. But anyway, something that I notice a lot of the times with content creators, specifically fitness content creators, is they'll post something not in active wear and be like, oh my God, not me in active clothes and make it such a big deal when they post it. And I used to be like that. Same. And I am so happy that I no longer make it a big deal that I'm not wearing workout clothes anymore.
like i don't i'm not like oh my god i'm not in workout clothes like haha like i'm just so at peace with like the content i'm putting out and everything and it just feels really good and i just don't think anyone listening right now like should really like ever release like obviously it was great like it helped me grow my page like being really fitness based but like if you feel very like stuck like don't stick to that stuff it's obviously scary because i'm like oh my goodness like what if my followers don't like the fact that i'm posting like other things like
Then that like whatever, like maybe they shouldn't stick around if they don't like it. But it's also we can't post things that aren't us. Like I can't be like, oh, I got followers for being in the gym nonstop and that being my personality. So I have to stay like that. It's like I can't post inauthentically. Yeah. Like I can't keep posting. I can keep posting the same little funny, relatable things about the gym. But like that's not.
Yeah.
because fitness for the longest time was just kind of like, what the heck? Like, why am I posting this? But now I have like an actual job, like a business that like I'm acquiring with fitness. And like, I just feel like I'm going to find my passion again of like wanting to do like fitness content and like help you guys. So like, it's just all coming full circle content wise. I feel that I finally found the direction I want my TikTok to be. And I've been spamming on it like crazy because I kind of want to saturate it with
the content that I want and like really, really fill it up. So when you scroll like the last like 50 posts are like all from the last week and it's content that I actually like...
and are proud of. And I think I realized for me, one, I've gotten so much love on people saying they love this new like era of how we're living our life. So I see the love and thanks. I get a few TikTok comments being like, I literally love what you guys are preaching right now. And people being like, they became like my favorite content creator. So like, it was really sweet. It was really nice. We were so cringy a year ago. Like if you hated me a year ago, I don't blame you. Yeah, facts. But I mean, no, some of you I blame. But
Yeah, facts. But anyways...
And then the other thing I was going to say was that my whole page around fitness obviously started because I like fitness and I still like lifting weights, right? Like I benched a lot today. Like that will never change. I love being a strong bitch. But the reason I started posting all of this was mental health. That was the reason. I still have like the IGTV on my page of me saying why I made the page. The entire root of my page was mental health and lifting came a lot along with that. And that was my outlet. But
Ever since then, I've learned so much more about taking care of my mental health that I want to share more.
All of it and I think i've just remembered like it all came back to living a healthy lifestyle for my mental health So i'm posting like everything I do that relates to my health and wellness that helps my mental health because at the end of the day That was my goal was mental health And I like made a whole little ig tv of me sitting down talking about why i'm making my page It's still up. I think you can go watch it if you and maybe it's not I don't know but it was me being like here's my story and like why I made my page and I was like see that person would want me to keep posting this because there's
And she would be so happy that I don't like live in the fucking gym anymore. Yeah. 100%. 100%.
So that's where we stand and I'm hoping you guys are enjoying our content along the way. We all know right now, you guys say it, like this part of the podcast is your absolute favorite. Let's get into the weekend. I want to talk about the weekend. I want to talk about what happened to us on fucking Saturday night because it got me fired up. We had the worst weekend, guys. I had a good weekend. What? Okay, well, okay, for that few hours, like we were fucking fired up.
We're like I've never had such a bad experience in my life Wow I'm just like flaky people Flaky people like I'm not even kidding It literally got me so mad So Taylor and I we had like no real plans On Saturday night We were like you know what it gets dark at 530 Like let's get ready because we want to beat the darkness Like I personally wanted to like take photos and take content But like even still by the time we left it was dark
Can never make it to 5.30 and get ready. But we went to dinner. We went to... The Well. The Well, which was amazing. It was one of the inspos for our dinner dish this week, which is like a butternut squash chicken thing. I posted it on my Instagram, the recipe. But...
As we're like sitting there, I'm like texting my friends like, hey guys, like what is everyone up to? It's around 630 at this point, seven. I don't even know. And one of our friends was like, oh, we're going, we're, what did he say? We're going to Electric Shuffle. Yes. But I had already known he's been at Electric Shuffle because I have his location and I have a lot of my friends locations.
And I was like, oh, like, weird. Like, he's going there soon? Like, why is his location already there? Strange. And then I... We're sitting there for, like, an hour. And I'm like, okay, I mentioned in text. I'm like, hey, what time should we meet you there? So I'm like, what time should we meet you there? Like, do you want us there? And he's like, yeah, like, you guys should come. Like, or what did he say? He didn't even say you guys should come. No, he was just, like, kind of telling... It wasn't... I feel like it was just, like, implied that we were going to go. Yeah. So...
We had driven to dinner and so from dinner we were just gonna leave my car where it was because it was in an amazing parallel parked spot downtown and we were gonna bird it was like 40 degrees outside and i'm wearing heels like a bodysuit like not attire You should be wearing a bird In the freezing cold, so we birded like a mile and a half downtown to where the electric shuffle was and when we get there
We get a text from them saying, nah, sorry, we just dipped. We're Ubering to San Antonio. And like if you're from Texas, you know San Antonio is like over an hour away from Austin. So we're like, wait, what? Like why are they doing that? Didn't get a response back. Do you want to like pick up where I'm going off? Yeah, well, I was going to say if you guys are like,
If you scootered there and they said they dip, like, couldn't you see? Like, I feel like someone's probably like, weren't you there? Couldn't you see them? So birds don't work on every street all the time. And this place is on a very crowded street that at night kind of gets like a no bird zone because it's like you just kind of walk.
So you can't. So for us to meet them where they were going to be, we would have had to walk to like down a street, like not far, but like we would have had to walk like some distance to get there. So it wasn't like we were there and we could just like peek in and see them. We were still a few blocks away because you can't bring the scooters there. So that's why we couldn't see them if you're confused. But honestly, like these people,
like I don't know they do crazy things and this is where my thought process went because I know nothing about sports there was TCU versus UT on and I have no idea where TCU is and I was like maybe that's where Texas Christian University is and they're going to do some game day stuff at the university I don't know that's where I went I was like maybe that's what they're doing like I don't fucking know where that school is and like people get really into college football here like maybe they're
going to i don't know yeah i don't fucking know so we literally were like you know what i'm freezing cold we had been sitting on the side of the road for like at least five minutes at that point my toes were numb and i was like you know what taylor like let's go back to the car so we hop on the birds bird all the way back to my car and we get a text saying that it was a joke that he was kidding they just got there and he takes a photo of the electric shuffle
um saying quote quote unquote just got there and i look at the photo and there is like seven empty drinks on the shuffleboard table there's like a bunch of food napkins i'm like oh yeah just got there like uh-huh sure right and i was like you know what whatever i was like we're not coming anymore like we're just gonna go home so like it's fine like it's fine yeah and it was like okay like it was annoying but like to me i was like it's not that annoying that we have to go home because like our friends weren't really doing anything anyways like
we have a big weekend coming up i was like i mean like fuck it like i wanted to be somewhere dressed but like i mean fuck it like i was like whatever let's just go home i wanted to meet a boy yeah that's what i wanted to do i wanted to stay out so i could meet a boy sam truly did and that did fumble for you it did fumble the bag because i got a message from him at 11 30 at night and i was like damn it like if i was still out like i went home at like nine yeah if i was still out actually no that's a lie because he he was on rainy street and we would have been on you would have made it work
I don't know. I mean, yeah. I was technically at his apartment complex. I would have called your ass an Uber. I was technically at his apartment complex. I would have called your ass an Uber. Nah, guys. Like, for real though, boy-wise, I haven't really talked about boys in a while in here. I'm just like interested in this one man. He doesn't know it yet. Um...
What were you going to say? No, I was just like, I don't know what to say about my boy life. Yeah, what is your boy life? Tell me your boy life. Because the people definitely want to know what your boy life is. The people do want to know. So I just like hate talking about this stuff just because I feel like kind of shitty about it. Not like shitty about like I just feel shitty like as a ex-girlfriend. I feel really shitty about it.
But truth is, I'm just having so much fun. As you should. As you should. I feel like it's like, oh my god, I turn... Oh guys, it's my birth week. I turn 22 next Wednesday. Oh no, Tuesday. Today's Tuesday. Next Tuesday, so that's my birthday. There's your reminder. Tuesday the 22nd, I'm 22, so wish me happy birthday. But it's like, I'm 21 years old. Almost 22, but it's like, I should be just...
living my life i know like so as i have been like i went through that stage of my life and like like i'm happy you're going through that stage of your life because like i feel like i learned so much as an individual just like experiencing with men and like just like things and just like being like a no fucks given mentality yeah truly no fucks given i think it makes you more calm like i feel like you're more like confidence like i don't know i can talk to boys like i can like
I don't know. I feel like before, maybe I'd be like, but if I was out and you're like, oh, go up to that boy, I'd talk to somebody. I really don't give a fuck. It's just fun. I think it's also just really learning different things about relationships and people. It's fun and it's a good time and I'm with it. What can I say to these guys? People just love me out here. We're going to Nashville in...
Two days. So we're going to be in Nashville when this airs. And hopefully while I'm out there, I go on a date with a man that lives out there. So we'll keep you updated on that one. Yeah, I won't be doing that. Yes, I have a man in mind that I want to see. I'll be on friendship dates. My best friend lives in Nashville. We've been best friends since we were 12.
And our birthdays are a week apart. So I'm going to see her. I actually don't know what she has planned because she has a whole life out there and is a full-on student. So Thursday she has class and homework. But I'm going to try to see her because she's super smart and in school. We're like total opposites. It's so funny. When I met her boyfriend last time I was there, she was like, don't you see how we're nothing alike? Because obviously when you're 12, everyone's alike. Everyone loves Barbie and purple. Yeah, everyone's 12. We're all the same. And then we grew up and she's like...
Doesn't wear makeup, like leaves her hair natural, like doesn't post on social media, like...
I mean, I'm not like stupid. I was good at school too, but she's still like really goes to a really good school, like all that stuff. And then I show up and I had like eyelash extensions, like fake hair, like bleach blonde hair, long nails. I'm like an influencer. And she's like, she's like telling her boyfriend, like, she's like, you see, we're like so different that it's actually funny. Like for her high school homecoming in like sophomore year, I had to force her to wear, to let me put mascara on her.
because she like doesn't wear makeup yeah let me do your makeup that's how i was until i met you so it was super funny we're like so different but we've been best friends for like like literally my whole entire life so yeah love it this has been a long catch-up i feel how long has it been i don't know but i love catching up i never wanted to end i hope you guys loved it and these clips are gonna be great on the top
Yeah. We said some really good things. I do have a question for you guys because, like, I really don't know. I'm going home next week and my brothers really want to be on the podcast. So if you guys have any, like, suggestions or ideas for what I can do to have them on the podcast, please let me know. Like, what do you want to hear from them? They're kind of just, like, annoying, like, bratty boys. So whatever you have in mind, please DM me so I can get some ideas flowing because I'm going to bring...
maybe the microphone's back i don't know we'll see so that's about it from my my end what anything else you have any last words no but i'm like my dad is on like a whole weight loss grind maybe he should be on the pod yeah maybe he should share his yeah his journey for the world because he's doing so well he would love that so much i should give him a little pod segment on how he did it you should
But I hope I didn't forget anything. I like literally I feel like I'm you know, when you are hanging up with like a friend or like a boyfriend on the phone, you just don't want to hang up. No, you hang up. No, you hang up. Like I don't want to hang up like dead ass. Like I want to just talk to you guys forever. But I just know this is gonna be the longest fucking episode ever. Yeah, it's okay. It'll be a good one. I hope you guys enjoy it. Leave a five star review on Apple podcast and enjoy the episode. Bye guys.

Okay, guys, and now we're here with Mimi and I'm so excited for this I know probably a lot of you guys follow her listen to her podcast all of that But if you want to give a little intro to yourself, that'd be great
Well, thank you so much for having me, Taylor and Sam. I am Mimi Bouchard, and I'm the founder of Superhuman, the meditation app. So maybe that's where you guys know me from if you're listening. I also have a podcast called Mimi, and I'm a self-proclaimed personal growth junkie, and I'm obsessed with all things meditation.
you know, creating the life you desire and self-improvement. So yeah, that's a bit about me. That's what I want to dive like so far in on is like creating the life you desire because I just think that's a very fascinating topic. So do you want to give like your background of how you got into that? Kind of like what made you get into this?
Yeah, for sure. I had a bit of a quarter life crisis about eight years ago and I was about to drop out of university and I really just didn't know what I wanted out of life. But my mom had just given me my first personal development book and it changed my outlook on everything. And it was really the catalyst to this journey.
obsession with personal development. So it kind of started there and it really was tied to success and business. And I really wanted to be the ultimate version of myself to create a career that I loved and also to heal my relationship with myself and my body and really just to create the life that I've always wanted. I knew deep down that
I had a lot of potential, just like we all do. And I just, I didn't want to let go of that little voice inside of me that said, you can live a really big life. And so I followed that and I ended up moving across the world to London and I've lived in many different places since. And I really just hustled and worked really hard on my personal development in every single way. And
I noticed about six, seven years ago, I was reading all these books. I was book obsessed. And in these books, they were talking about like all of these, you know, professional, I guess, I don't even know what to call them, but just like success people, you know, like the Tony Robbins, the Jack Canfield, like all of these people that, that, that talk about personal development and success and life mastery. They always spoke about visualization. Yeah.
And the only way that I was taught you could visualize is in meditation. So I started to try to meditate and I very quickly realized I hated it. And my mind, I would tell myself, you know, my mind works too quickly. I get bored really easily. I just I don't want to sit down and think of nothing. And I didn't like traditional meditation and it was hard for me. So I wanted to get the benefits of this meditation.
beautiful visualization work because there was so much science, you know, proof that it really helps you create the life that you desire because it helps you
prime your brain, you know, change your RAS, your reticular activating system in your brain to start noticing opportunity. It helps you really step into that version of you that you'd like to be and act as if, and that is just amazing for creating that life that you desire and helping, you know, your subconscious change and, you know, all that good stuff. So yeah,
What I started to do is I started to record these pep talks to myself on my voice notes on my, on my phone. And they were very personal. I would just record these little motivational 10, 20 minute long audio recordings to myself, really just describing the kind of life that I want. And I was in my early twenties at the time living in London and,
you know, trying to make all these different businesses work and, you know, trying to heal my relationship with myself as well. I definitely struggled with disordered eating and low, you know, self image and, and really bad worth issues. And, um,
I would listen to these audios while I was doing other things. So I would listen to them in the morning, you know, when I was getting ready while I remember distinctively listen, listening to these audios while walking to an appointment or to work and on the tube in London. And I just always listening to them. It always boosted how I felt. And it got me in this mode of this, like, you know, I'm hungry for more. I want it. Like I was just so motivated when I would listen to these. So, um,
It's so crazy because fast forward, you know, five, six years, I started to release this type of audio content, more generalized for the public on an old subscription platform that I launched. And then ultimately that just became so popular that I scrapped everything, created a whole new platform called superhuman and, and,
created 15 different categories of these, you know, unique guided meditations for any moment of the day and launch that. And, you know, they aren't really meditations like they are, but they are, but they're not. So we're actually trying to use the word meditation a bit less in the product. And we're going to slowly transition away from it because it's just so much more than that. It's its own kind of category of sound. So, um,
Yeah. And I've created a whole business, you know, from that one part of my personal development journey that I had a need to, to create a new product from, and it's changed my whole life. You know, this business has blown me away over the past year and it's just continuing to grow so rapidly.
fast and it's awesome. So that's kind of my personal development journey in relation to what I do now. And it's really cool how things just fall into place. You know, if I wasn't in a low point in my life, I would have never discovered this. I had to go through those deep lows and we can get into that more if you guys want.
I had some serious lows back in the day and, you know, definitely struggled a lot with depression and just not being the person I wanted to be. And I was lost and confused and completely untapped into my potential. But I just kept going when I had that little voice that said, what if? And I'm literally a product of what I teach now. And it's really incredible. Yeah, no, that's incredible to build, like to take...
You like found your own space in the whole meditation, self growth, that whole business. I feel like you tapped into a space that I haven't seen anyone do yet to be able because you have like walking meditation and like walking through like don't you have ones like grocery like grocery shopping meditation, like all this stuff to do while you're doing something, which I think a lot of people can relate to because meditation sounds very scary, at least to us. We like talk to a lot of people talk about meditation and like
I don't think we're a type to sit down for 20 minutes with our eyes closed and meditate. You for sure know. I can't. Even like how you were saying, like, can't sit still, can't really listen to things. I have like the worst ADHD. So like sitting still and either listening to something or like closing my eyes and thinking my own thoughts. Like I just can't do that. So something like this sounds so up my alley. Totally. Yeah.
you're like the perfect target audience because I'm the same. You know, I thought there was something wrong with me because I just wouldn't, I would keep trying to make it a habit and then feel terrible about myself because I just couldn't. But the beautiful thing about superhuman is that we don't require you to change a habit. You just have to change what you're listening to. And it's
energizing and motivating. And our meditations are honestly, so I don't even want to call them meditations because there's such a preconceived notion of what meditation is, but it's just like completely different. They're so energizing. We have a team of three audio engineers now and they create, and I specifically instruct them, you know, every single song that you mix, it has to make the person feel like they are like the main character of their life. It's moving, it's energizing. It has
has life to it. And then, you know, on top of that, the vocals really help you just tune in. And there's, there's literally something for everybody. You know, I personally, my, my thing is like when I'm driving or cooking, I love listening to like the jazz type of like cooking meditation or jazzy chill and meditation if I'm driving. And it's just like a feel good. Like I just love jazz or something it does to me. So we
We have like a random section on the app. It's like with jazz music. And then we have like other sections that are like empowering, motivational. Like we literally have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of meditations and, and it, there's something there for everybody. And it's just,
so exciting to talk about because it's just like so new and you're right. No one does this. And we're actually in the process of patenting our method because it's so unique and it's so deeply transformative and it's science backed too. Like everyone's heard of the Pavlov dog theory and that's conditioning the mind, right? So Pavlov rings the bell, the dog salivates. So we really have used that science in our approach to,
I believe that to change your life, you need to do it with your eyes open. You know, of course there's a benefit to meditating with your eyes closed. And if you, if you're listening and you like that, keep doing it. I'm so happy for you. But like, if you're listening and that's not your thing and you really want something that feels different immediately, then, then this is it. Right. So for example, the Pavlov theory, you know, if, if you are listening to a walking meditation every single morning for 15 minutes, when you walk the dog,
soon enough, you're not even going to need the walking meditation to feel confident, empowered, abundant, ready for your day. Like just like in this optimal future self state, right? You're not going to need that. And that's ultimately what I want to create. I want to create a tool. Superhuman is just a tool and it's a tool that helps you get there faster. And it is more of an insurance that you'll actually get to where you want to be because it just reminds you,
And that's what transformation is about. Just from being reminded of who you want to be. You know, I've been through this journey for almost a decade and I know I'm still young, but, you know, I've been through a lot of personal growth in this journey, so many ups and downs. And, you know, it's, it's, I feel like I've really lived a lifetime already, you know, doing this work. And this really is something that is the most effect. Like, it's really one of the most effective things you can do.
is to change your state while doing everyday activities. And when you do that, there's something that happens in your brain. Like I honestly want to hire like a, like neurologist or someone to actually explain this to me, but it's like what meditation in motion, like doing this intense visualization work while you are moving your body, it is like
So much more effective. I don't know what it is. There's something about it. And you'll notice the shift. Like it's an energetic thing. You know, it's crazy. So yes, you know, to answer your question, this is totally for you.
someone like you, that it's not appealing to think about doing traditional meditation. You know, ours aren't really very spiritual. They're not woo. They're kind of just like, you know, let's go, let's get it done. They're pragmatic and they feel good and they're really for everyone. Yeah, I like that. So I wanted to touch on something you talked about in the beginning, the visualization and like that kind of thing, kind of
Is that what you were talking about when people say like, let's say you get a red car and then all of a sudden all you see everywhere are red cars?
Yeah, that's RAS. That's the particular activating system. So that's actually something in your brain that doing meditations like this and visualization work like this actually helps free program. So your RAS is basically just like a filtration system in your brain. And we need it because imagine if we notice every single tiny thing happening in our lives, like you would notice the light flickering over there. You would notice that person coughing two doors down. You would notice, you know, like,
the bug and the, like the fly on the other side of there, like it would literally, your brain would explode because you have like, you need the RAS. It's a good thing. But so many of us have programmed our RAS with our beliefs and thoughts and conditioning to look for things that don't necessarily help us. Right? Like if you are in, uh, you know, a victim mindset and you do not believe that you can create wealth for yourself because of some story that you've told yourself your whole life, your RAS is
programmed to affirm that thought, to affirm that belief, to say, oh, you're right. You know, your RAS is just programmed, right? And you can program it a different way. So if you start to believe that you can create abundance and wealth in your life,
And let go of those old beliefs that held you back and really embody this future self energy of I'm a millionaire. You know, I can create this much in my life and it's a possibility and there's opportunity everywhere. When that starts happening, your RAS starts to change and it starts being programmed in a different way and it starts filtering new information. So you'll start seeing opportunity everywhere.
you know, people will start showing up in your life and you'll think, oh my God, you know what? I want you to be a business partner or I think we should do something together. Or, you know, you know that person, let me connect to you. Like, you know, there's always something, you know, and yeah,
It's crazy to think of that it's really just a mental switch and by doing this work you can switch it and you see so much opportunity so yeah a basic example of the RAS is like if you are look, if you want to buy a new handbag and you know the exact one you want to buy you start noticing people, you know, wearing it or on Instagram, like you see people wearing it and you notice it.
It was already there, but you have told yourself, oh, that's something to look out for because it's something that I want. Just like the red car. If you are thinking about buying a red convertible and you're on the highway, you randomly start noticing there's so many red convertibles. What the heck? But they were always there. You're just starting to notice them, right? Yeah. Yeah, 100%. When people talk about that, it definitely clicks something for me because I feel like I noticed so many instances of that. Yeah.
even like at school like in the hallway someone's like oh do you know so and so I'm like no never seen him and then like the next day in school and be like oh I see that kid everywhere like he's in like all my class like never noticed him like never noticed him not once but like oh now I actually see him everywhere and he's in like all my class and pass him in the hallways every single day so like real scenarios like that I think people can relate to and I know it sounds like a lot to relate it to like getting opportunity and money but when you think about it it is
It is very similar. But I wanted to go back because you said your low points and what those were for you. And I was looking on your Instagram and I saw a lot of the transformations you were doing were a lot of kind of like you're partying, drinking a lot of alcohol phase. So is that like related to what you were going to go into? Massively. Honestly, when I used to party a lot, like...
It was so linked to my dissatisfaction. I was so dissatisfied with life. Like it was so linked to my, to my unhappiness and my unworthiness. And I just don't think going out and drinking and partying and doing drugs
Drugs is something that anyone benefits from, honestly. Like, you know, I still can have fun and just like not really, I don't drink much anymore. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine like here and there once every couple months with dinner if I'm really feeling it. But I just like, I like to be sober more because I've tapped into the side of sober, like being sober where, you know, you feel life more and I don't want anything that numbs me to feeling alive because feeling alive is the best fricking drug there is, you know? Like it's, I love clarity. I love feeling alive.
feeling just so tuned into my body. So yeah, you know, I, I did everything at a really young age. I was, you know, grew up in a big city, had an older sister who wasn't the best influence when I was a kid, bless her. She is one of my best friends now, but you know, I, when I was like 13, I 12, 13, I started going out and getting really drunk and doing drug. Like I was just like not a
a very, I just was like lost as a kid. And I went through a really low point in my teenage years, actually. It was looking back actually quite severe and I just didn't really realize it. And I didn't really ask for help. I was just kind of to myself, but I struggled a lot with, um,
everything from eating disorders to depression even when I was really young you know my preteens like self-harm and stuff like it was really bad like I was I was really lost and I dealt with just a lot growing up and um you know I was born into a beautiful family I love my parents they're they're great people but of course you know everyone has stuff from their childhood and
they did their best with what they had and, you know, it definitely wasn't the most terrible childhood, but you know, it's, it's really, I think society and, and the conditioning from, from society telling me I had to be a certain way, look a certain way was the most damaging. You know, I had a lot of body issues growing up, body image issues, never feeling good enough whatsoever. And I would just, you know, I wanted to be cool so badly. I wanted to be in like the cool crowd so badly and fit in because I felt like a loner. And I,
You know, by doing so, I just said yes to all these things that just weren't positive. I got myself in the wrong crowds.
I was doing just like too many drugs and just like partying too much. And I was just lost. And I am so happy that I woke up because, you know, I just, I couldn't, my body is so sensitive. Actually. It was, it's a blessing because I used to always just struggle so much with hangovers or, you know, I was very sensitive to everything I was doing. And it was at the point where I just had to stop for a bit because I was getting like allergic reactions to like the random drugs I would do. I don't even know what they were like, you know,
Like I just, it was just gross. Like it just, no. So yeah, you know, it just, when I was 20, 21, I just started to phase that out, out of my life. And I don't even crave it anymore. Like I just, it's something I just, I'm so not interested in and I can still have a great time. I have way more fun now. You know, I think there's such a misconception that if you stop drinking and going out and
you don't have fun anymore. And it might be hard because if you're single, you know, you want to go out to meet someone. Like I get that, but you also want to be the best version of yourself to attract the best people into your life, right? You're only going to create relationships at the standard that you're at currently, right? So I think-
you know, for me personally, the drinking and going out and partying thing, like drinking was always the catalyst actually, because I would never do drugs if I wasn't drunk and I would never smoke cigarettes if I wasn't drunk. And I would not, you know, I'd go out and sleep around if I wasn't drunk. Like I just disrespected my body incredibly. And I'm glad it was for a short blip of time and I got out of it early, but I just, I really feel for that younger version of myself because she was so, um,
lost and so in need of something. And I really was the only person that got myself out of that, you know? And I think ultimately, of course, it's great to have help and go to therapy if you need to, but at the end of the day, you can't get help if you don't want to help yourself. And I was at a point where I was just like, I'm done. And it didn't happen overnight. You know, it was definitely a faded experience of just going out less and less. And, um,
And then here I am today, you know, six years later, and I just not interested in living that kind of life anymore. And I just, there's so much more to life. So I personally feel like my relationship with alcohol and partying was directly linked to me being the version of myself I did not want to be. Yeah.
Now, I know you had said with the drinking young age, my question for you is, did you feel like you had to when you no longer were going out anymore, how to kind of create this new life of like the people you were surrounding yourself with? Because I know a lot of the girls listening or just anyone in our age group are so concerned of like not going out anymore because they're going to lose their friends, not going to really have a social life. So for you, like what was what did that look like?
That's an amazing question, Sam. Honestly, it was something I struggled with so much. I, when I first kind of stopped, you know, I went through phases, but when I first kind of stopped, I really just...
was alone a lot i i was alone a lot and i lost a lot of friends because there were so many people in my life that just wanted fun me me that would get up and like make everyone laugh right like they weren't real friends i was just there for entertainment and i had to get very comfortable with the fact that i was gonna have to be alone for a while and i used that
to my advantage. And I really personally, like I personally really believe that you need time alone and you need to get really comfortable with yourself to get to the next level of personal development. So I actually was living alone at that time. And I just, I was a bit of a loner for a bit. And, um,
This is before I met my boyfriend. And, you know, I just had to have that dark night of the soul kind of experience of just not having that many friends and just putting myself first and starting from scratch. And then obviously I would reach out to the people that I felt good being around. And I still had those people in my life. Maybe they didn't live in the same city as me, but yeah.
It's essential to create a network and a friend circle that aligns with your future because you are who you hang around. You're an average of the five people that you hang around most. It's just a fact.
Like if you tell me your friends, I can tell you who you are. Like it's that simple. And of course we want to resist that principle and we want to fight it and think, no, I'm strong enough. But in reality, it happens. We're human beings. We adapt.
And if you have friends that, you know, understand that you don't want to go out and drink anymore because you get depressed the next day and feel shitty about yourself and, you know, all these bad habits come back and they still want to pressure you to go out and they try to, you know, convince you to, and then you say, okay, it's just, there's always something. And you want to be around people that have your best interest at heart that actually genuinely care about you. So it can be a sad thing.
eye-opening experience when you start to audit the people in your life, but it's necessary. And I would way rather be alone than with someone that does not resonate with the feelings that I want to, you know, have every day, even if they're not super successful, you know, million, I don't care. You don't have to be a millionaire. You know, I just want to be around good people.
that support me, that don't tell me my dreams are too out of line, that, you know, want the best for me, just like I would want the best for them and just are good, genuine people. And, you know, you got to put yourself first when you're going through this life transformation. And this is a really big part of that. Yeah, I really like that. It's funny you just said that the dreams are out of line. I don't think we've ever had anyone come on the podcast and actually say that. Has anyone actually said that to you?
Oh my God. Yes. Really? I like, I've always been, been a big visionary my whole life. And I had been around a lot of small minded people that would like make fun of me for wanting what I want. Like, I remember a specific girl, her name was Steph. And she was, when I went to university for two semesters, when I was 18, 19 and she
So she, 18. Yeah. So she was my, I was in a residence room, like a tiny little residence room, like 150 square feet in, um, in on the campus. Right. And she was my next door neighbor. And when I first got to university, I was partying and doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing and going out every night and doing a lot of cocaine and getting all fucked up. And, you know, it was just like what everyone else was doing. And I was pressured. I felt pressured to do so. And I wanted to fit in. And she was that neighbor that would like
really enable all that and like want to go party. And, you know, when I slowly started changing throughout the course that first and second semester and started wanting to, you know, cut that out a little bit more and slow down that pace. And, you know, I was working at a juice bar at the time in the neighborhood and I would, you know, not want to go out so I could wake up early and go work and make money. I was always very money focused. And my parents didn't really give me any money since I left the house. So I was always very self-sufficient.
sufficient. So she started to judge me when I would make these good decisions for myself. I remember I was waking up one morning and her door was open and I was passing by to go to the gym and I was like, okay, I'm just going to go into the gym. See you later. And she was like hung over and obviously like angry that I didn't go out the night before. And I was going to the gym and she would say things like, oh, like you're so fucking lame and like just stuff like that. And I'm
We kind of just grew apart when I stopped partying and we were really good friends at the beginning and it just faded away. And I remember when I was packing up all my stuff about to leave and I told the girls I was friends with, including her, I'm going to move to London and I'm going to really try to make this work.
you know, fashion blog, online magazine website that I'm building a thing. Like I want to be an entrepreneur. And I was creating this, this online magazine blog. And I was really excited because it was a project that I felt aligned with. And this was me doing a lot of work on myself and figuring this out and deciding to leave school and to go move across the world and take a big risk. And everyone else was quite supportive, but you know, I was packing one day
And her door was open and she didn't know that I was in my room and I could hear her conversation with another friend of mine at the time and they were making fun of me. And it was really hard to listen to.
Because I was obviously still in a vulnerable state. You know, I was really, it was hard for me to push through my comfort zone and do something that, you know, it was a bit different or weird. This is before blogging was cool or before, you know, being an entrepreneur was cool. Um, and for my age group and, um, you know, they were like making fun of me saying, you know, that I'm pathetic, that I'm just like, I don't know. And, and she just, she was just like, good luck. Like you're not going to make it kind of thing. And, uh,
And yeah, I remember just crying and leaving and slamming my door so she knew I heard and just going on a run and just like crying on my run and just it was a very cathartic experience. And it was it was I was just so ready. I was so motivated in that moment to prove her wrong. And yeah.
I visualized moments where I could, you know, think to myself, you know what, I did it. I'm so proud of myself. And, you know, I remember when I was leaving, you know, she sent me a text being like, it was just like, so mean, like, she was just like, good luck. I remember the words coming.
Exactly. Like, I wish I had a screenshot of this text. I, you know, I of course expressed to her, like, I'm not so mean. I hate how you guys were talking about me. Like you're not a nice person. Like what you're awful. And I remember her writing me back and this is the last communication we've ever had. And she was like, good luck on your quest to become famous.
That was for her words. Famous. I'm not creating an online magazine or blog to be famous. I just want to have my own business. And it happened to be in the social media space or whatever. And it was just like, you really think this is what it's about? And like,

That's the perfect example of kind of like seeing opportunity where it can be seen because if that girl would have been supportive, like who knows, like that could have been an opportunity for her to be like,
I want to learn about that. Like, I want to know how I can do that with you. I want to know how I like, how can I get involved? Teach me how to do that. And like, she could also be like a part of something great, but took the other route of being just like,
That's just I just cannot believe people think like that and also think that their opinion like matters like it's so bold of people to assume that it's like when people say like don't take critiques from people you wouldn't seek advice from like if some. Yeah, like if some crazy successful like.
I'm just thinking, like, someone really successful in the social media space I look up to, like, a ton is, like, Lauren Bostic. If Lauren Bostic came to me and, like, really critiqued what I was doing and telling me, like, I was going to, like, maybe I would take it to heart and maybe I would listen. But, like, user 512 whatever or not, I don't, like, your opinion doesn't matter.
Yeah. And I think it's really important. Yeah. I, I just, I've realized since that point that what people say about you or to you has nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with them. And that's why I like literally don't get triggered from hate comments anymore. Cause I'm like, I'm so, I honestly just see it from such a different perspective than I used to. And I'm just like, God, I really hope that you like heal your shit because you're
you're obviously incredibly depressed and like no happy person will say something mean to someone else. Like it just doesn't make sense. Like constructive criticism is a different thing. And if it's someone that I know and respect, I'm all for that. But you know, the, the trolls online or in person, it's, it's just like a direct reflection of how unhappy they are in their life. And it's just so,
So crazy how they don't realize that because it's embarrassing. Yeah, it truly. And I think it's really important. Like you were saying when you kind of like after you heard the conversation went on a run and it really amped you up, like taking those type of people to your advantage of like letting that fire you to like,
really get the job done hit your goals and everything because I've even done that in like my past where someone has been so down on me and my goals that it like fires me to want to like work even harder and I think that's how everyone should really take it rather than letting it to get to them so so deeply and the trick to get there is to trust yourself enough and
Garner that personal relationship that you have with yourself so incredibly much that you just are strong to that critique. And I remember a time when it was really hard for me because that's not the only story I have. I have so many stories. Like when I was moving to London, you know, my random uncle at family dinner was like, you're not going to last two months. I'll see you back here in a couple months in a joking way. But I remember thinking, no one fucking believes in me.
You know, like, and they didn't, they like, no one believed in me. Honestly, my parents were always supportive. Like, okay, honey, you know, but like no one really actually thought I was going to be where I am today. Like everyone is shocked, honestly. And I go to family dinners now and they keep,
people treat me so differently now and it's actually really crazy I and I I wish I could go back to my younger self and just like affirm to her and I feel like I have in a way because she always knew I feel like in some way like timelines have shifted and she knew back then that this was one day going to be different and there was this weird connection there that I'm still trying to put my finger on but you know I wish I could go back and just like remind her again you know like this is
you know, it's happening. Don't worry. Keep persisting. Like you just need to believe in yourself and make it happen. And, and,
Now it's just a totally different dynamic and it's crazy. And everyone's shocked. It's great. And this, I just, I want to say for the audience, because this can be your story too, you know, like I wish there were more expanders when I first started, you know, the only really motivational people out there were like Tony Robbins and he's like amazing. And I was listening to his audio books on repeat at the time.
Which, you know, back then maybe I had someone that was more like me, like a young girl that proved herself to so many people that didn't believe in her. And it's just so available to you if you're listening. And it's just...
It's there. So you just got to tap into it. But, you know, it's a really interesting experience now coming out the other side and seeing how people treat me after all of this and not even the personal development work. It's like it's really materialistic. Sometimes it's really like.
you know, the business I've created and the finances and, you know, cause that's really what people look at a lot of the time. It's the sad reality, but they don't understand that to get there, I have to do so much inner work. And that's actually the most impressive thing about me, I believe is the inner work and the inner transformation that I've, that I've created. Yeah. I think the difference in how people treat you is crazy when you become successful with something. So I went to college for like,
I did three semesters at the University of Florida and then I ended up dropping out. When I was there, I hated it. I was in the worst depression of my entire life. So I rushed sororities, didn't get in one, like in having hundreds of girls be like, nope, like you're not good enough, pretty enough, cool enough. Like, no, like that was really, really hard. Like I had no friends. I wouldn't talk to a soul on campus. And then kind of after that first
after my semesters or kind of like halfway through was when I started doing social media because I was so bored that I was like I'm gonna do something um and now once it kind of became a thing for me like I've gotten dms from girls that were in these top tier sororities like oh I think you were in like my this class like so cool to see what you were doing and I'm like and you never spoke to me and like I cried every single day because I had no friends and now I get dms like
I went back to my campus after I had already been dropped out to move out of my apartment because I had some things still there because I left before my lease is up. That's how much I hated it. I just up and left. And I got so many DMs like, oh my God, you're in Gainesville? I'd love to meet. And I'm like, funny. It's just funny because no one could give two shits about you as a person until it's like, oh wait, you actually did something cool with your life? Let's hang out, girly. Yeah.
So it's just crazy. Like, it's just so see-through. Do they not get that, like, you know and you remember? Like, that's what I don't understand. It's so see-through. You know, it's weird, but I totally resonate. I've had similar things happen and...
you just kind of get to a point where it's just like, okay, you know, I, I, I know what I need to know about you. And it really makes you realize how special those long-term friendships have been as well. You know, the people that were, that were cheering you on and rooting for you before it all. I remember when I was in university, that juice bar I worked at, I met my, my best friend, Tay, when, when I was working there and,
she didn't even go to the university I went to. She was a bit older than me, but she kept coming in to get juices and we just became like really good friends. And she has been one of those people that has just rooted me on my whole life. And we've been friends for almost 10 years now. And, you know, we still, and she's transformed her life. I've transformed my life and it's just like such a positive relationship and
It's a beautiful thing to have like at least just one person that's that's been there. And, you know, my parents, too, my family has always my sister has always been like that, too. But, you know, it's really nice to have someone from the beginning. You know, I trust the people from the beginning the most.
Yeah. I want to kind of shift gears and go into like your day to day now and like habits you do that like make you feel your best. I can go like so deep into like what you do, kind of like your day to day, like from the minute you wake up till you like go to bed. Yeah.
So I love this question. And if you asked me this three, four years ago, it would be like, okay, I wake up at 5am and then I have this and then I, this happens. And I was just so obsessed with being so regimented, but I've realized recently that I create more of what I want by being more effortless. And this is actually part of, I'm writing a book.
right now. And it's all about how to transform your life in an effortless way with this approach that I have, I guess, you know, created with superhuman and it's not completely unique to me, but it's about self-image work. Right. So, um,
The biggest thing that I focus on in my day is my energetic state and being the person that has what I want. So I actually have a very easy go with the flow schedule when I'm not working.
When I'm working, like I'm, you know, I have a big schedule because I'm running a business. But in the mornings with my morning routine, evening routine, it really changes day to day because I like to flow. And I know the most important thing is simply who I'm being.
So I'm going to repeat that. It's not about your routines. It's about who you're being that will help you get to the next level. Of course, habits and routines are so incredibly important, but what's more important is who you are being throughout your day, because who you're being will naturally influence what you choose to do. So if I am being future self Mimi, who is a
Multi-centi-millionaire, happy, healthy, abundant in a beautiful relationship, happy body, loves herself, is radiant, has clear skin, is very generous and giving and loving and wise. That's like future self Mimi, right? If I am being her from the moment I wake up until the moment I fall asleep, I'm going to choose things to do and to consume and to say that
and to believe and to think that align with her. And it's the easiest thing ever because it's like, I don't have to plan that much. I just have to be right. Because I naturally do those things when I start being. So in the morning, what I do these days, I wake up, I haven't been waking up at 5.00 AM. Like I used to maybe seven 30, honestly. Um, I am a lot more at ease. I wake up. If I feel hungry, I used to intermittent fast. Now I'm like, no, I intuitive eat.
And I'm in the body that I've always wanted. And I know it's an energetic thing, I swear. So, you know, this morning I woke up
And I wanted a smoothie this morning. So I had a smoothie yesterday was, you know, oatmeal the day before it was sourdough bread and avocado, like whatever it is, whatever I'm feeling. I'll make breakfast. I will, um, listen to usually my new thing. Um, I go through phases with the type of meditations on superhuman I listened to, but this morning was a getting ready meditation. I just like pop it on in the background. I really like, um,
You know, more of like the kind of chill, jazzy, classical ones like in the morning. It's just like I like that energy. So I'll do my skincare. I'll wash my face. I'll put on a nice cozy outfit. I love being cozy and luxury like I'm wearing clothes.
a cashmere jumper right now. And I just love to feel and like some jewelry, but then I'm wearing like leggings and big comfy socks, you know, like this is kind of like the Mimi future self energy. So put something on that makes me feel aligned with that version of myself.
And then I'll eat something that feels aligned with that version of myself. And I'll, I do some journaling most mornings because that I really believe has helped me immensely. And I just put pen to paper. If I'm feeling like I need guidance because I don't have clarity that day, I'll put on a writing meditation from superhuman, you know, it's just nice music and, and guided prompts that I can just
you know, write about. Sometimes I'll read a bit of a book in the morning. I'll have some coffee and I just have a beautiful morning and I try not to be on my phone too much. This is something that I strongly feel influences your life in a negative way. If you're on social media too much,
We've all had that addiction. And when you're numbing out, you're getting farther away from feeling alive, from feeling life. And I believe to have the best life, you need to feel life more, right? So do less things that make you feel numb. And maybe I'll go outside on my balcony, breathe in some fresh air, get some sunlight, and then I just get to work. And it's a very calm, effortless approach, right?
I used to be a lot more regimented and intense. And I think tapping into my femininity more in this phase of my life,
has helped me immensely even create more of what I want in my life. And when I need to put on my powerful female founder hat and have a serious conversation with a man that is working for us or something, and I need to be that alpha Mimi, I'll put that on and I'll tune in. But for most of the day, I like to be in this flowy state, but I also get a lot done in this state. And I like to
time block my tasks. So my assistant will do my calendar now. All of my calls and podcasts are in the afternoon and in the morning, it's more focused time.
So I naturally am not an incredibly organized and diligent person, but I'm very creative. And when I need to be, you know, getting things done, I like to time block because when my brain is working in a certain way, it's easier to get a lot of that same type of work done. So for example, this morning, if it's more like, okay, I need to write marketing copy, a new email,
and flows. Okay. I'm in a writing mode. And then in the afternoon, I'm in a talking mode and I can switch that on. So whatever it is, and if there's big brainstorm meetings I have, I need to be in a different mindset. And then in the evenings, it really depends. Sometimes I'll
you know, I like to, I cook dinner every night for my boyfriend and I, so I cooking is like therapy to me. I'll often put on a cooking meditation. So it's just like chill music, some affirmations just to get myself into a state, or I'll just listen to, we have like these frequency music, like songs on the app, frequency music. It's in the just music section and it's our custom frequency. Um,
music that we have made by one of our audio engineers. And it's just like so elevating and just like, it's something you play in the background and you just feel so up-leveled. So I often listen to that too. Cook, we can even watch some TV. Like I'm cool with some TV, you know,
no big deal. Maybe not as much on the weeknights because I like to just be very clear. But sometimes I do, it's really dependent on what I feel like, but nothing too negative. And I don't like horror movies. I don't like anything too negative. I like to watch funny things, you know, like Curb Your Enthusiasm or like The Office, you know, maybe sometimes a little bit of Vampire Diaries if I'm feeling a bit crazy, but other than that, yeah, you know, I just,
I have a beautiful, nice evening and eat good food. And, you know, then I will sometimes get tucked up with a tea and a book or play card games with my boyfriend or just stay up chatting for a bit. And then I go to sleep. That's kind of the day.
Easy. Yeah, I love that. I love like the flow of everything. Like it's all just kind of like not like go with the flow, but in a sense it is. And you kind of align everything based on like you're talking, you're writing. I feel like that's something I need to do. I think it's helpful. Well, I need to work on the getting off my phone in the morning. I've been waking up and going right on my phone and like it is like severely impacting me. Like it's not good. Like I need to stop, but it's like one of those things like I don't know how, but I'll get there.
I really need to stop. I can give you some tips if you want, because I have the same problem. Like I have honestly struggled with phone addiction. Like it's a thing. Yeah. And
Yeah. So I can give you some tips like when I'm in focus on and it's hard because both of our work includes being on social media. Right. So sometimes when I'm feeling very addicted to that dopamine that our phone creates in our brains, you know, I will honestly delete like Instagram and TikTok for a whole day at a time or I'll
Before bed, I turn my phone off so that I need to like go through an extra step of like, do I really want to do this yet? And also the last thing is waking up early makes you feel that you're not in a rush to check your messages. Cause when I sleep in,
And it's like, you know, eight o'clock or something. And I know my team is already messaging me like I get anxiety and feel like I need to open my phone for work stuff. But if I wake up early, my phone is off and or my social media apps are deleted when I wake up. There's such a low chance that I'm going to go through all these hoops to check my phone right when I wake up. So do you have like an alarm clock that's not your phone?
Yeah, I have like the Alexa thing. Okay, yeah. See? I just got one that I was about to use and then my freaking cat chewed the wire on it. So now I need to get a new wire to plug it into the wall. I go...
I don't want to turn anyone's Alexa on. So I'm not going to say it, but like I called for her and it didn't turn on. And I was like, what? And the cord was in two pieces. And I was like, that's wonderful. So I have to get a new, but once I get a new cord for that, I think I'm going to like, I might do like literally turn it off because it's,
so bad especially when like I don't know if like I feel like it's not like you're not on like TikTok for work very much right like that's okay yeah so like a big part of like what I do every day is like I'm trying to post like over like five TikToks a day so it's like being sucked in to TikTok is the worst thing in the whole entire world but if you miss like one day of looking at it you don't know what's popular like the trends go like
so freaking fast that it feels like you need to like know what's going on to like know what to post but it's just the worst but I need to get a new thing because I'll turn off my phone I think that's I think that's what I'm doing
You can time block. Maybe you can check at 11 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. you're on TikTok. And at the same time you see a trend and you film it right away, you're already ready. It's like a work thing, you know? Yeah. I think you should also maybe consider charging your phone downstairs in the kitchen so that way you're forced to go downstairs, get your phone, get out of bed.
I know a lot of people that do that. Yeah, I know a lot of people that do that too. Even if it's just across the room. Because then you have to get up. And once you're up, you're out of bed, you're up. No, my phone is in the kitchen every night. We don't sleep with phones in the bedroom. Keep your bedroom as a pure place where you...
and have sex and that's it. Yeah, we actually just, it would be like two or three episodes before this came out. It's already up, but we did one with like a sleep expert and we talked about that. Like we discussed all of that. But okay, I think I'm going to do that. Maybe like literally I'll Amazon a new cord when this is over and plug my thingy back into the wall that's on my to-do list. But yeah, I need to stop doing that like desperately, desperately, desperately.
Desperately, but we have been both of us I like that you said that you go kind of like slow because we both were like we can do slower mornings Yeah, because I feel like I got caught up in like following all these people who wake up so early and like do all of this stuff like the very popular thing is like
my five to nine before my nine to five so people are up and going like in the gym by seven like i was like like going with their mornings and i was like oh my god like should i be like doing that and then i would talk to her about it and she's like for what
Like for what, for what purpose do you need to be like doing all these things at six in the morning? And also you're so right. Yeah. Cause then like our work day is over at like three and then from like three to so on, I'm like, I have nothing to do until dinner. And I just am like twiddling my fingers, like on my phone, like, what do I do? So we take our mornings a little bit slower now.
Yeah, that's great. And I think there is a misconception that if you don't work really hard and push yourself and then go through grueling effort to feel deserving of whatever outcome it is that you're trying to find, there's a misconception. That's the only way it's like hard, hard work. And listen, I'm all for hard work and I've created a lot of my life through working hard, but there's something about this effortless flow energy that actually creates more of what you want. And yeah,
It doesn't have to be hard. Like, this is just my whole, this is all of my work. It doesn't have to be hard to get what you want in your life. Like it, you know, just be the kind of person that has it and naturally do those things. But it doesn't mean that,
You need to wake up at 5 a.m. and do like I prioritize sleep more than anything. You know, I if I need eight hours a night, at least eight to nine hours a night. And if that means that I need to sleep in until 738, like I will. And I'm OK with it because I know that I'm in a flow state. But then again, like I have been in place.
in my life where I have woken up at 5 a.m., you know, so on and so forth. It's like, there's a phase for everything. But I think when you start getting really intuitive with your body and with your desires, that's when you understand like what actually works for me. Because I'll tell you, there are multimillionaires with their dream bodies that don't wake up at 5 a.m. You know, like people that have what you want don't necessarily need to do those things. And it's not a bad thing, but if it works for you,
It's great, you know? Right. Yeah. No, I love it. I think a lot of people need to hear that because like hustle culture is just too...
Too huge. I like to work smart, not necessarily hard. Exactly. Working smart is better than working hard. Exactly. 100% work smarter, not harder. I'm trying to think. We've been talking for like almost an hour now. We've talked about so much. I'm trying to think if there's anything else that we want to touch on. I feel like we can keep talking forever, but it might need like a second part because we're about to hit an hour. I know. The OED.
Do a part two. I like it's gone by so quickly. I love chatting with you. I know. I would. Yeah, no, I love it. We'll definitely have to like you guys can comment on the Instagram posts of people listening and let us know if you want the part two because we can keep talking, but it'll be a very long episode.
um so yeah we'll definitely stay tuned for that because i really enjoyed it and i love talking with you and i feel like it just like even this right now just like uplifts me and i feel like i need to listen to the meditations yeah like while i do things because this was very just like uplifting and like put me in a mode to just like be just like being the person you want to be exactly yeah yeah well i loved it here
