an old box full of V H. S. Tapes and police reports, I didn't expect uncover connections to several unsolved murders near my hometown a bit, investigating how these murders could be connected to a group called the lords of death.

Check out this clip from the show. So tied at two on his ARM. That was just letters.

I said, L O D. And I ask mike what L O D stood for. And I was told a stood for lords of death.

So ask, you know, for the meaning behind IT. And only a couple people had the tattoo, apparently. And in order to get the tattoo, you had to take someone soul as a murder.

Someone is what I was told, but never really clicked with me, that I was like they were really the lords of death. I could just see them being like a cool were the lords of death. And that really meaning nothing, is how I looked at IT. But I was wrong and meant a lot.

Hello, 嘿。 Have been scared. I'm don't scared. Can you hear me? Yeah, I can hear you is on the hand, is back on the end, they call me all my family, said the Fisherman class hook out, and then he pulled the fuck in the head in. Have to go to the fie O I I it's very I would be like myself and I because I can be like myself okay um where is your brother, what you call your brother and and tell him what you told me not to no response in 在 这个 地方 没。 走。

You can hear me, yeah, okay, I just got ta call from blair. She's really upset. SHE said that they found a head in the water and they think that I might be flow and they want, and they want her to go identify IT that that all that I know.

So I said I would call you and I don't know any more details. Okay, okay. Thank you for all.

Every single part of a missing person's case is a tragedy. The weight of this kind of loss I truly cannot imagine. The searching, the not knowing in the concept, fear of finding out the worst.

A few months ago, I just flown back from alaska, and I met my Younger brother, Mason, at a local bar in atlanta, a beer. The first question he asked me was, how's the case going by the time the beers at the table? I checked my phone and I noticed five missed calls from blair close sister, this 我是女主。 I had an awful good feeling. I stepped away into the bathroom and called her back.

嘿。

Fifteen minutes later i'm back sitting next to my brother who's looking at me like i'm insane. And all I could say was you're not going to believe what has happened. What my instincts told me was that blair was seriously in distress, and something bad had really happened here. So I started calling other friends and family of forms for them to fine blair as soon as possible to figure out what happens next. Throughout the next several hours, I receive various text anxiously awaiting some form of update.

Who told her this are the police involved? Was that a real human head they found in the water is this fluence ocp y oex body? Then things became a little motier, and that skeptic part of my brain kicked in.

Did anyone actually find anything at all? The rumor mill in a small town like Normal asa is incomparable to almost any other town in the lower forty eight. And I seen my fair share of unsolved murders in small town america, a georgia Christon coro grounding montana.

But name is different, much more isolated from the rest of the world. And sometimes people simply start saying ship. And most of the time it's hurtful, negative and false.

The tRicky part is sometimes they're telling the truth. Is so easy forward to get lost in the sea of White noise. The following morning, I was up at six A M sharp in full investigation mode.

Calling and texting everyone I can think of. Also being conscious that a false alarm like this. Is devastating.

Ultimately, I did find the truth. No head was found in the water. Nobody either. No clothing, nothing at all, actually, just a couple of drunk townies spreading lies to flow.

Sister, arguably in our most vulnerable state, when the cats out of the bag, that someone, anyone serious at all, is actively pursuing the truth in the disappearance, people start to act strAngely. Sometimes it's almost like people can help themselves and have to say something, no matter how long sensor le IT is. And other times, people are intentionally making a false rumors to throw off an investigation.

In this case, I think we're dealing with the latter. Needless to say, things are complicated. The tRicky st. Pod, in navigating a true crime investigation of this nature is knowing when to divulge, what information in win and what to do with all the tips are receiving, literally daily. In the meantime, you can't keep chasing all the White rabbits, but you can ignore them either.

And right now, i'm sitting on a mountain of information, and i'm hoping that somewhere in there is a real answer. So it's been a while. I know I said june and now it's August.

I'm sorry. It's also been a while since Florance OPPO like went missing. Angels of boldre is one thousand four hundred and thirty five days since flow in missing two thousand and nine hundred and sixty three and choose of dead. And i'm emphasizing this truly because of how dumb founded i've become by the lack of response in both of these cases by law enforcement themselves, whether they be the alaska troopers, the known police, even the FBI.

But to be eyes with you, I never .

thought theyd help sold these cases to begin with. If a love one goes missing.

no one's first thought .

is a podcast being a real thing. It's the long enforcement that should be doing interviewing, not investigate, of journalists, not private investigators. You can give people authority, but you can't make them care.

So let's zoom out for a second. A lot, and I mean, a lot has happened since we left off and my brain feels rambled. But maybe this is what he feels like when you're starting to get close to something, you can feel IT blurry in the moment, but slowly at all starts to come into focus.

And maybe it's just a wish for thinking of me, that magical thinking, or maybe sometimes you just strike the right time. I came to nome, alas, a with zero expectations, but from the second I touched down there, I knew, my god, there was a serious problem with their laender cement. Frankly, I don't care why these cases are unsolved.

That's a different investigation altogether. I'm not here to poke at their mishaps, pitfalls and any mistakes that were made. But what I do care about, and what my stuff in itself can care little too much about sometimes, is someone standing in the way of finding the truth.

Were either going around you or through you. I have a team of some of my very best friends day in and day out, night after night. We've never stopped dissecting these cases. In the brick that we took was just what we needed for the dust to settle over the case, to start breathing again. And so let's .

dive right into IT.

But first, but recap where .

we left off .

this guy, I just know he was a cab driver in town, and a lot of people didn't like him. He was a cab driver .

for a checker cab.

He dropped everybody, all soft, but her, and he says, you know what, I could have killed you. And nobody would have known about IT.

the gentlemen who owned the tent. The minor, this minor, may have been involved.

We just didn't have the help that we needed to find out. Why aren't the police doing and anything?

There was a man he was sitting in her drinking and he was talking about. I seen her down west way. He was party with some of the miners .

down there. People like the police have done enough to solve her case. No.

IT feels and looks like they haven't done anything.

The number of missing people does not really match the population of the area.

Is the police chief in today? Do the up this week? Folks are a bird records request with governments.

They can be months long. You pulled .

out a night, the sky. Thank you. You're in a town with three thousand people.

You're telling me no one saw anything. No one has come forward. I don't even know his last name.

the name that you knew about organ, john. I was the last person seen her alone, besides the guys killed. Do that. that. Do 哒。

As a listener, you need to know that there have been two things going on here. I've talked a lot about serendipity, and I don't know what IT all means, but sometimes we are shit just happens, stuff you can't really explain. You may recall from episode one of this season, the email I received from the ila about Flora p ox case after we were looking into IT and before we ever told a .

soul about this season at all.

I also received another email.

hi, i'm the attorney for Joseph boulder is is family. Joseph went missing under suspicious circumstances in no malasia. During the summer of twenty sixteen, the alaska state troopers treated IT as a lost higer case and barely conducted an investigation.

We're at a dead end with our investigation, which is why i'm reaching out to you. We hired a private investigator. His name is andy clamper.

One of Joseph friends contacted me early on. Everybody was pretty consistent about what they said about Joseph. Charismatic, smart, love, alexa planet and married. You're dealing with basically a successful professional person who just vanishes.

The reality is our investigation into the disappearance of FLorence, ocp, oic and of falder's started on the very same day let's go back in time two years ago.

eight. Hey.

kate is pain. I received the email from a woman named kate. She's an attorney and a family friend of Joseph.

Good job I was. And we all just really did anything we could think of to try to figure out what happened to Joseph. I think the first goal was defined him, figure his family some piece.

In the second go, what did to figure out what happened? I reached out to you. Any claimer was our private investigator put a lot of resources into using him.

We were immediately blessed with the years of hard work put in by jose's family in numerous private investigators, and they sent us more documents, audio, video, in depth records and files then i've personally ever seen. This gave us an amazing vantage point from beginning. And the more we looked in the Joseph case, the more flows case became introit.

As you peel back a layer, there's something new that odd and doesn't make sense. I'm in a turning. I worked in the days office and engage for a couple of years.

I wasn't in high laan force now. I wanted to support the present. They were doing a good. The tribes is is such a shady investigation.

And the early week's effort.

Joseph disappeared. SHE helped connect the dots working probe ona, finding trusted private investigators doing all the work that law force ment didn't nandy cluster to use her before in the podcast, took on this case full time. And he's been investigating IT for years now.

His truck was found parked, baked into a pull out. IT became a very big deal in known quickly. It's really unusual and not find the body, especially since they had i'll half dozen different teams of tracking dogs out there. If you got attack by bear, that would be super messy. You'd think that the dogs would have found that, and bears don't need backpacks.

When they heard the news he was missing, joices friends and family frantically made their way to know, spearheading the search efforts for days on end, with the help of helicopters, planes, search dogs in dozens of individuals on the ground, the surge ultimately yelled nothing in the eyes of josef sister celina. This just wasn't sitting well.

And before long, like everyone else, SHE began to hear other twisted tales of what may have really happened on their last day in town, Joseph, sister selena and several family friends all met with the alaska troopers at their office, and nom selena recorded their conversation. This is from eight years ago, right average of went missing. I am trying to acord ate and getting dogs in and out.

And I am still collecting the maps. And we're doing that and again, were limited. There's so much and we want to I go seem to investigate my reports of you have to do IT later. That's basically I M .

telling you the dimension part is so important for us because um we're humans who happen to be good and we forget things, I paid troper troubles to come in on his day off to document what he did those two days。 He came in on his saturday IT was sydney here going through the law, seeing who was here and sydney, his computer and typing and he typed for probably four .

hours yeah so that was that IT of the investigation .

well no no others um we follow up every single every single that comes to us. We followed up and not trying to .

tell all is kind of fear like they are or not. We're just desperate.

We .

don't .

have .

much time here. We're desperate. We want to know to our father and we need to know now.

And we even if my brother is in alive, we need to find him, you know? So even if he's not a lie, we want him back. So we need to do anything we can. That's why we're asking all these questions.

The bull dari family was living a nightmare, having traveled across the entire country searching for Joseph in yielding nothing, then being faced with the reality that we're going to have to go back home soon without josef, without answers. And now I should have more questions.

Unfortunately, we're trying to uh, explain to you are the department public service position. We've had to call our searches before when we didn't want to, but the decision is made not just from a standpoint of the time, but the lack of clues. Here's the thing.

The lack of clues is in itself a clue. What kind of clue is IT? Well, we need to figure that out.

We need to take five steps back and shake IT off. And we visit. And IT starts by good. Starting from the beginning.

the state's conclusion, he had been attacked by a bear or had some kind of accident, and they just didn't find the body. That scenario that he was attacked by a bear, some mah, the body was hidden. Those pieces weren't .

fitting together.

Look, it's alaska. It's Normal aska population, three thousand. There is clearly some serious wildlife out there. The state of alaska alone is home to approximately thirty thousand and grisly bears.

Between the year two thousand and two thousand seventeen, there were seven recorded fatalities from grisly bear attacks. But these fatal encounters must certainly have occurred and do occur statistically. They are exceedingly rare.

Grass bears are scary, powerful creatures, and they can most certainly kill you. They usually leave behind a familiar, chaotic in graphic scene. Human remains are usually scattered about, personal belongings left damaged, and there are general signs of a struggle like disturb vegetation, blood bear tracks.

These things are almost always found at the scene, but for Joseph, however, he just simply vanished. If he did die by a bear attack, then the bear itself left not one trace of IT. Being killed by a bear is already a statistical animal, but this is an even bigger one cat.

And he goes hiking and he he's very smart. He's not student. He's traveled all over the world. He's not stupid.

He knows weird is is 就是 so much like information about barey。 There was.

Joseph derris Carried an extreme love and respect for wildlife. Joseph was also someone who understood and respected both the beauty and power of mother nature. A few summer before you went missing, he documented a trip to alaska with his brother and friends. Well, until last go, this is IT.

This is my little piece of home here.

That open option out there, if you .

can tell the waves and some pretty good Price swells.

not gonna here too long.

just want to come get a picture of IT video. You can certainly feel the band tude of ocean .

and your own and folk around there give me A E.

G, B. He just be there, here. cruise. You, yeah, I can't get that good of a zoom on IT and russia on jasa.

Well, that one we saw in this town member was from russia. You said a beautiful woman on there. That's me.

黑寡妇。

缘分, 缘分, 你 起来 了 吗? Were all angry time. He knew how to have a good time, but he also .

knew how to stay safe.

The more you look into IT, the more and answer questions and red flags there were, there are some very suspicious things. His fiancee was alarmed right away. His usual practice was to stay in touch with her multiple times a day. Joseph wasn't responded anything, so for him to not respond to her messages was very unusual.

Joseph was just weeks away from moving the juno, alaska to reunite with his Fiona Megan right before he disappeared. He's talked to me about her. He was very in love with her.

to work on monday, june twenty seventh, two thousand sixteen. Joseph did not show up for work in the morning, and he was officially reported missing. So sometime between friday, june twenty forth, in sunday, june twenty six, something happened. Thursday night due and .

twenty third I love you, meghan rena, more than anything.

Friday din twenty fourth, the start of the weekend, he ultimately disappeared.

Saturday morning, due twenty fifth, around nine thirty in the morning.

Yeah, probably going to a head back out later to another river where the kings might be. Love you, Megan.

This is Joseph last outgoing message to his Fiona Megan. Since then, he has not opened or read any other message that was sent to him.

Love you so much, baby. I dreamed of you all night. Count shopping. Wish you were here. Good night, love you so much.

I'm honestly getting a little worried now because I haven't heard from you and I can't sleep. Please text when you can and let me know you're safe. I'm worried.

Because we don't know what happened to Joseph. We don't know when that happened either. In my mind, answering the second question is our first order of business.

Accurately stitching together his last moves has been an exhAustingly tedious task, but with the help of original eyewitness testimony and josef cell phone records, we've been able to pinpoint in approximate time that things started to get a little weird. Not long as for Joseph missing the first P. I, the family hired, travelled to, known to conduct his own interviews, gathering statements from people who knew him. This is the earliest account we have on .

record thursday, two thousand and sixteen property, seven or five P. M. Alice time. In the matter of Joseph about dairy, if everybody can announce his on the phone are still in, if you could start the P.

I held a phone conference with just as friends and family.

Pristine is important because she's the last person that we know saw jobs of alive. So she's a really important feature.

yes. yeah. We've been looking at her from the other time. Minds, the first private investigator, key din, on a woman in Christine, a friend of Joseph, who lived in, known, according to witness statements and Christ's own personal testimony, SHE is the last person to have seen him alive that weekend.

Late in the evening, on friday, june twenty fourth, Joseph was alive and well, and we know this with great certainty. Based on the text with his fiancee and more importantly, a phone call he placed to Megan earlier that night, sometime afford jose's spoke to get on the phone, he allegedly goes downtown to the local bars and no me. At around midnight that friday night, he meets up with his Frank cristine cording to cristine.

Her sister kim was there, also making IT to eyewitness accounts. Whatever happened, the Joseph happened after midnight on friday, june twenty fourth. Over the course of the next few hours, Joseph timely starts to get a little confusing. The first private investigator interview, Christine, just a few weeks, everyone missing the purpose .

of me talking with you. I'm trying to can nail down his last steps to see if there's any way that I can put together some type of time line. And i'm just going to give you these dates in case you forgot june twenty fifth, twenty fifth and twenty six were friday, saturday and sunday.

The twenty seventh was a monday. okay. Is that your you're understanding to yeah, I have a hard time.

Remember in what? Eight for breakfast. So I know looking back a couple of weeks can be tough sometimes. You went out with Joseph on friday.

IT was friday because he acted me about twelve, fifteen, asked what I was doing and so I called him, he is some food. He just we're not quite leaving yet. And I don't think we met up with him until about one o'clock .

one o'clock in the morning. Yeah so technically saturday, yeah.

employers was the first place you went. Yeah players. Who's we? me? Kim and Joseph, my sister and I met up with him. And we only say they are probably for a shot in a drink, shot in a beer, then we went to and a shot and .

beer takes about how long figures.

We're probably there for twenty. And then after that, we just started visiting with people. And I I don't know what he did after, but I know kim and I had went to be tear.

So according to Christine's testimony here, their nights started at a local bar downtown called playa SHE. Was there the bar with Joseph alongside her sister kim? They had a shot in a beer and eventually moved on the street to a different bar, a bar called bricks. B, O, T is the nickname for a board downtown called the board of trade. Might remember this from close case.

Let me back up a little bit. When you guys were at polaris, um was there anybody else that you can remember him talking to?

Or no, he was just they're talking .

about how late you think you are .

out that till break.

what went that two forty five.

And would you .

have been at B O T. At that time then yes, OK someone to estimate the time you were breakers for .

hello probably say about a .

half or so to yeah.

because usually that's when people have to built.

So as far as this case is concerned, you would have no know about really where he went that night after .

two no OK because I mean, I didn't text them, but I didn't call to check on him either because usually he goes home. I mean, i've never known him to go down after party. I mean, we didn't drink a lot all the time together, but I I could know that he is not one go out in party because of his job. And so I would say he probably went home backing .

up here for just .

a second. Christine initially meets josef plaira with her sister kim for a shot in a beer. They eventually moved to a bar called breakers, and from there SHE parts ways with Joseph and Christine.

Her sister kim go to the B. O, T. Bar board of trade, just Christine and her sister without Joseph.

After interviewing Christine, the private investigator talk to her sister kim in a separate room in attempt together her recollection of that night. This is when things get way more confusing. Or may I even say concerning.

I was open to chat with you. link. Nice to meet you.

Okay, so friday night, union sister, go out. Take me from there. Where do you go .

and what time we went pleurs then must have been there for a ha hour.

Maybe you mean her.

just you and her, yeah. He said just on his lover. And I said, okay. And he comes and could bear.

You know about what time showed up like.

well, early may be. And then he had a beer, and I went over the breakers and we stay there till about two thirty, and then I came home.

They met jose of the players that they moved to a bar called breakers, got IT. But then, according to kim, he goes home by herself, leaving Joseph and Christine together. And he never mentions or remembers going out to the B O T. B. R do you ever remember .

going to the boat that night? You don't. Did you? Could you alert not?

I don't think we did that night. I usually tend to try to not go to ability because I see before I don't. wonder. I don't think we did. He was there he was only there with us at players um and the breaker you know was just that's very hung out most night having curse. I really felt that, will that was .

he or he in Christians of kisses, kisses, boyfriend, girlfriend, hold hands type relationship, or just more brother, sister type relationship.

I thought about that they were like boyfriend growthand.

I separated Christine and came in the separate bedroom. Did you hear how different their teams were? There are statements.

Yeah was the red leg that came up across you know every every had every red leg again, both Christine and can have very different recollections of the night. And hey, sometimes that for a night of drinking, that can happen. Do we go here or there? What was the last bot? But when someone goes missing afterwards, these details become extremely important.

In Christine's version, they party waves with Joseph after the second bar called breakers. And SHE spent the rest of her night with her sister kim at the B. O.

T. bar. But kim says he went to play us, then breakers, and then went home afterwards by herself, just her leaving Joseph anchor stine together. Kim also seem to have a different viewpoint on Christine and Joseph s. relationship.

I thought about that they were like boyfriend grow friend.

but Christine claims they were only friends.

So you guys, they were never .

boyfriend irl. Friend, then, no, they were just friends, were good friends. My family adopted him. We took him right in. He fit right in my family that we should do, but him and I just friends, Better off friends.

The differ accounts of friday night, or indeed confusing, but they could also mean absolutely nothing less. Fast forward a few hours to the following morning, saturday, june twenty fifth, two thousand sixteen. The P. I. Kristine, about the next day.

the next day. About time to come on saturday.

thirty.

twenty seven. O, W.

we just talked about just generally whatever. I mean, there is really no specific k, what would you going to do today? What i'm going to the beach and it's nice out. I'm going to eat. I'm going to shower and go to to clean up and then take the kids to the beach about how long .

did you guys talk for?

How about twenty to twenty five minutes? Nothing in specific just ruled like him and I were always a random. Whatever came up is whatever we talked about, right?

You don't remember any specific statements he ever made. If i'm going here, i'm going to do this now.

We talked about that at the beach. And so ten, twenty seven years when I first talked in that day, and then I got a shower, I cleaned up and then called.

The following morning, Christine makes a phone call to just the cell phone at approximate ten thirty A M. Jose's family provided us his cell phone records, which list out all in going and outgoing calls and text and the link of the calls. The contents of the text messages themselves aren't locked. According the joys of cell phone records, the call Christine made to his phone that saturday morning lasted twenty seven minutes, so not a quick call.

I know I called him before twelve, fifteen, because I was about twelve teen. As when I called him on, he said he was coming to the beach. I said, okay, while I hear this is what amount? Look for my truck.

It's like, OK. Well, have my blue truck, but OK, i'll see you. And then a few minutes on buying, then he came down there, and then we were there, proudly told about two thirty ish quarter to three, cause by then they started. Didn't really hot.

Was he pretty hung over?

And I didn't seem .

like IT do you hang .

out to eat speech for proxy helm ly, until two thirty quarter of a three, just about two hours, we let the kids play just hanging out. And so I asked him what he was going to do because I was like, what to nice out. I'm going to get ready and go get things and going to count.

You're welcome to go if you want my grams camp. And I was like, what you go to do, he's like going go fishing. And at that time, I didn't think there was any fish, but just my judgment because I was usually not.

He's like one day of fish and I said, wear he's like at the mouth. No, every mouth. I said, OK, so you don't want to go to get now I said, why you get to go fish and there is really no fishy. You just get to go and look he's like.

just go to look this .

at the mouth of the mover. And I kind of was like, why there's no fish? Is I going to go work? So I said, okay. And then that was .

cristine claims Joseph drove to meet her at the beach. Joseph stayed there at the beach until about two forty five P. M, A little over two hours.

At the time, Christine had her kids with her, as well as her sister kim kids. And apparently they were on the beach together with Joseph. These kids were pretty Young, between four and five years old.

He then invite him to go to her family's camp for her for a get together they were having, but Joseph declined ents and he tells Christine that is going fishing at the mouth of the noon ver. Then Joseph z in the truck drives away and was never seen again. Here's joys of sister celina. So it's just kind of weird that he party all night, like literally till the way hours and then he gets up early, wants to go fishing, kind of weird. No other eyewitnesses could place Joseph on the beach that day, despite the beach area itself being widely visible from the road in the general public.

I left before him, and so I don't know which direction he went about.

Anything else you can think of that might be important.

I have been trying to think, but I have no idea that angry, mad.

but I don't know .

where he is or is he upset ted about .

anything not that I know of .

because he was excited that he had mentioned to me before, not the same weekend, but had mentioned to me before that human bag and we're going to get married.

I said, okay, well, I started asking questions for how long you've been there in, how did you meet her when he goes plan to do because he was moved to juno, because his term was done here in August and he seemed excited about I said, okay, well, you guys had received been single for six years, right? He said, yeah and now you've been dating for what's six months ish? Yeah was five months, six months and it's like and you're going to get married and like, don't keep little dumb.

So in your mind, you know the question asked you earlier as you having idea happen, so in your mind, one of the options that you don't think happened as he just walked off and just on purpose, just trying to disappear.

I don't know why he would do that. Yeah, I don't see why. I mean, I don't think so.

So you essentially .

are concluding that that, well, you couldn't get really get lost out there, but your thinking, maybe that nature had a role lineless.

I have no idea. I mean, I am still having faith, but he's out there somewhere.

Bear with me for a second. Saturday morning were still called stress of cell phone in a call at last twenty seven minutes. SHE doesn't remember what they talked about. SHE places another college of sometime after twelve P M. Noon, and then they meet up at the beach and stay there for about two hours, sometime after two forty five pm, just of hops in this truck and drives off to go fishing. But no one has seen him .

simply on looking through .

jose's cell phone records. Something about that saturday meeting at the beach that apparently last at over two hours didn't really make sense to me.

Here's why I can .

see the call Christine made to him at ten thirty six A M, A twenty seven minute call. Then at twelve forty six P. M, Christine calls just us phone again.

This call lasted about a minute in five seconds. Based on Christinia account, this would presumably be the call he made or just have agreed to meter the beach. And if they spent over two hours there, then Joseph have arrived the beach pretty quickly over this twelve forty six pm call.

But here's what is record show africa's call, a twelve forty six P M. Crazy texture of at twelve forty five pm. Then SHE takes truss of again at one P M.

Then he calls stress of a third time at one eight P. M. I call that last at forty eight seconds. This is about forty five minutes to an hour after Joseph supposed, i've already been at the beach with her. Maybe her times are off.

But then at one thirty two P M, cine again, text, Joseph, by this point, if what he's saying is true, seph should most certainly be at the beach already, especially if they stayed there for over two hours, actually says and that he left no later than two forty five P M. 这个 fishing。 So in conclusion, we're pretty much missing an entire hour here.

Either that or custom was calling and texting Joseph when they were together at the beach when he was literally right in front of them. I just don't like IT. We only have Joseph phone records to go off of Joseph s actual cell phone is missing along with him. So the only way we can find out more about what they were talking about that day is from Christine phone. The private investigator asked cristine if he could supply the text to his family.

Do you still have the text so .

you can refer to to restore my phone? Because the past co. Got disabled, was not very happy, but we didn't get to see those text.

My brother disabled my phone. He mashed with my pen. You know that? No, that day.

sunday under sunday.

And so I was so mad because, I mean, everything I had, I was the text message as the colleagues, they were still there. And then he disabled IT. I can't member my pin code because on, you know, on the iphone I could use my fun.

And so I thought I was using. And so he disabled, that is. So every pink code I thought I thought I would be, I used and IT wasn't so I didn't disable, you know, and then I had to connect i've tunes to restore IT.

Her phone was completely wiped on sunday. I don't work at the apple store genius bar, but i'm loosely familiar with what he's talking about. If you try to put in the wrong pin code enough time on the iphone, eventually, after a while, I will lock you out of the phone forever, then you will have to plug IT into your computer to resell and restore IT to its last saved moment on I cloud.

So her phone is erased immediately after those have disappears her time, entire phone is erased.

That is a little bit kind of .

concerning, you know, that that lead you to lean towards the idea that maybe SHE, I highly doubt I met her. Yeah.

he is SHE definite lying. And her account of the phone lock for instant is actually impossible.

Twenty nine year old brother was taking a picture in lock or phone. Yeah, that's not sure that that can SHE said her brother.

I believe, was her brother did something with, you know, you have your code to get into that and then he did so many times that he had a factory reset at at which didn't make any sense. That's not how you that's not what happens. So we just is like, really flinn's excuse very weird ming, for sure.

On every iphone, you can take a picture without having to unlock IT. There's literally a camera icon on the bottom right of the homes screen.

I don't know why I didn't back up because I have to automatically think to eye oud as a back up, and I didn't. And so when I want to restore my phone on sunday night, I had to created as a new one to all the text messages, all the call logs. Everything I had on my phone was gone.

But even if you created as a new one, your eyelid didn't save all old day.

No, nothing came up to ask me if I wanted to pick this day. You know how you can go back and say back IT up to this day, I never did ask me, just asked if I wanted to set up as a new one or whatever the other option was on itunes um when that's not the laptop that I I didn't think this to the laptop because my laptops gone, I don't think of that one because that one didn't have itunes. I had to download itunes .

sunday to restore IT.

Regards of why or how Christine had a completely restore phone that day is just a major red flag plan. In simple, sometimes IT can be really easy to nip c the small details in a case like this, or hyper analyze someone's behavior. But when you start adding up all these other words, things about Christine account that weekend, her sisters completely different, recollection of friday night, phone records that don't match the narrative, and the possibility that her and Joseph, we're more than just friends, the starts to become something you should not and cannot ignore.

Trying to make sense of IT. All is manning. The reality is we simply need more information.

So we kept digging, going through files and papers, all provided by the private investigators in jose's family. The forecastle was ever interviewed by the private investigator. SHE was initially interviewed by the alaska ate troopers.

We got our hands on the official police report. According to the official police report, Christine claims that he was with Joseph at the beach on saturday from approximately two forty five P M to three 4P。 M. Wait, what Christine told the P. I SHE was with him for over two hours, and that he left the beach no later than two forty five.

So was he with Joseph for thirty minutes or two hours and that he leave the beach at two forty five was that when he got there? There are now feels to be way more than just a lot wrong with Christine story. But why? That's a question that's always bothered jesus family.

And one thing you learn about the boldness is is, is their fighters. Their investigation has never sought. Two years later, just a sister, selena, managed to give her hands on another set of phone records, Christine phone records.

And they make things even more puzzling than they already are. Just like Joseph phone logs, they don't show the contents of their text. But I can see way further back in their communication, going back several months between April twenty eighth, two thousand sixteen, in june twenty fourth, two thousand sixteen, the night he met Joseph at the bar.

Christine never once called Joseph literally not one time only text, but he texted him frequently. Then all the sudden, starting that friday night, Christine calls Joseph a total of sixteen times in a period of lesson twenty four hours. Then he goes missing.

What is the deal here?

And what about Joseph? Last message to his Fiona Megan that morning, around nine thirty A M, he allegedly texas Fiona Megan, via whats up, saying.

yeah, probably going to head back out later to another river where the kings might be love you egg.

And then from that exact moment forward, he never opens or reads any more of her messages by any account of Christine story. Joseph didn't leave to go fishing until at least two forty five P. M, or even his latest three thirty, meaning Joseph was still in town, in known with cell service, but for over five hours he didn't even read or open is the on says messages. This was completely out of character for him.

I asked the private .

investigator andy clamps, E. R, to put me in touch with Megan. 这 is former fiani, to ask her about those messages in the very first thing he told me has sit me down, an entirely new rabbit. All the tone .

and nuance of his last text message to me on saturday morning just seemed different. He said, love you instead of I love you IT just seems strange. I don't think IT was really him coming .
