Colby covington has been a professional M, M, A fighter for fourteen years in the last weather in the u. Fc, and in that time has become one of the most famous people in his sport worldwide. So how should you feel about kobe cover ton if you can judge a man by his enemies? And you can watch rosio doll.

Trump just arrived at the u. fc. Two ninety six because he loves cold be cover ton. And leon Edwards, I hope, is going to smash his face in because I can't stand coby convicted and I can't stand Donald trump.

And the one thing I hate about the usc is that he ruins that every time he shows up. I mean, come on in a way you gotten do Better. Really, really. The question is.

would rosio Donald kill called be coming ten if ty at the chancy answers, of course, yes, and you would do the same to you. We thought to be interesting to talk to kobe coming in about that other things. He joins us now. We thanks a lot for coming on and honor to have you here.

So real on IT for me.

Be here. Thank you. So um what do you think? Rosio, Donald, you've never fought. Rose donal, right?

I would never .

fight a woman. Thank you. Thank you for saying that. I mean, it's it's not obvious now when they're pretending to be to be them up um but why do you think she's so mad at you? Ince, I assume you don't know rhind out other no.

you every time I see you know rosie getting unhinged, I think that's a sign that it's a we're not getting closer, taking back amErica know she's a crazy, mean old viole lady, but you are not sure what I ever did to offender. So i'd gladly do IT again. But we need to send to the li bin in two thousand .

twenty four a crazy meal. I think that's fair. I know I don't think that's an in just just purely descriptive. So you have decided to just be very open about your political views and mix them with your profession, which is fighting you of sea. Was that a tough decision for you?

I know I wasn't a tough decision because I want to stand by what I believe in. And you know, all the principles that I was founded, a bond through my whole life cell. Yeah, once I saw the narrative was being shut down her throat as professional athletes one way.

And there wasn't another side. I I was sick that and I was like, you know what, there need to be someone that stands up for other side and and stands up for what they believe in. And you know, I want to be that guy.

So there's been a long time why the F. C. Is the only sport, professional sport in the united states where the participants to say what they think and lot of that I think has to have dinner away, is just we're allowing free speech and our lesson for that. But IT does seem like a big percentage of guys who fight U, F, C. Or on your side politically, why do you .

think that is? You know, I think they think that because they grew up and you this constitutional, you know, great country of america, of the free home of the brave. And I think they've seen, you know, just the the toxicity that this work agenda has caused people, you know 外面 a lot of us are shadow ban on some of the some of the platforms。

I'm not onna speak their name because they don't deserve the attention. But when you start taking away free spirits, that's a dangerous proposition. Yeah there's no going back from that. So I think people just want to stand up for what they believe in and know the rights that this country was sounded upon.

That seems pretty basic and moderate and sensible to me .

yeah for the most part but not to the the swap establishment in the lobbies and politicians.

Why don't other sports do the same?

Because they are pay. They're paid and boat for by china. You know, you ve got people like the Brown James to, you know, he makes all of money and his shoe deals in china with these women that are working for, you know, pennies on the dollar and these sweats shops, and that's how he makes all of money.

Then you got travels, Kelsey, who's mister fizz, who's, you know, tell him people is he's paying buffo by saying himself pretty much. So sol, to the devil time people get the double. Jb know oh, you know, if you get a one, i'm I say i'm four against vaccine, but if you get one japan, you make sure that it's safe and like there's not going be any side effects from that one.

If you're getting to at the same time, are you going to know which one's giving your side effects? So some of the most just atrocious, uh, you know, things that i've ever someone. So I was told .

by a number of people that criticizing lebron James is racist, but you did IT anyway.

Yeah, you know, he he hates america, the country that gave in billions of dollars. You know, he never stands up for america. Standard and the national anthem, they playing that for the people that fought and and to protect this country and give us our freedom so we can have opportunities like you Brown.

And here he is, sit and for making a joke gut of our national anthem. And all the families out there that I have to have suffer because they lost, you know, some of their family members in war. And here he is just making a mockery them and just slap in them in the face.

So do you think if he wasn't getting paid, he would do that? I mean, you think these are his real views or he's just acting on behalf of someone else?

You can tell he's acting on bath for someone else and he's botton paid forward by the establishment and pretty much whatever they sit down to do. He just going to do that. He's a pupil to them.

So at some point, I don't know when I was lesson ten years ago, somebody clearly decided, hey, NBA is really culturally influential, and we need to make sure that our message is delivered by the players in nbm. It's really obviously that happened. U fc is on its way to eclipsing the N, B, A.

Mean, I I don't member in one to you're anyone talking about the N. B, A. Everyone is talking about the sport, the urn. Will that happen to you guys at some point? Do you think?

No, I don't think so. Because you know, our leaders day a wait and hunt or cambell, their beliefs are free speech and they don't put a muslim, anybody, to tell everybody to think and stand on what you believe in. When I gona tell you how to think or act, you can do that on your own.

But they went from being on the brink of not having accompanies. And now there are multibillion publicly traded companies. So I don't think they're never going to do that. You know, they believe in free speech. They believe in constitutional rights and everything that man amErica stands for.

I was kind of a surprised to learn, even in this fourteen years, that seems like a long time to be in a business this rough. Did you do you expect to be in at that long? And how did you do that?

Yeah, no, I didn't expect to be in that long. I wanted to get in and get out, you know, make a good living for myself. Change know the structure that my family grew up, and we've came from a blue color family and organ.

And you know, I want to be able to break that trend and that more than be able to come on more time million of our famous athletes didn't care so much about the fame, but I just want the financial aspect, the free from. I can have a good life, so didn't expect you to be this long, but I love in every second you really, I still love. I enjoy IT, and I enjoy all the hate, all the people that tell me that, you know, I can't do something or you can do this or you're going to get knock down you, we're going to do this to you. So enjoy IT. That's what drives me, gets me up over the money to to work harder.

What's your life like day to day? What's your training regiment like?

So I trained six days a week, money through saturday. And then i'll trained twice a day, uh, three days out of the week at the six days. So two days, three days a week, and six days, just one days.

How long is your training?

Three hours per .

training session. What is that consist of?

Consist of all the martial? I'll do kick boxing, one martial. Then i'll do you do at you because you have to practice emissions. And then i'll do some restful. And then i'll do strength in condition and make sure my conditioning and peat form.

How long if you've been doing .

that for fourteen years? Ever since I got a college, I went australian and a man, I I wanted to make a Better life for myself. So this was the only professional sport, restful.

It's like go to the olympics and try and be olympic athlete. But those people make about the same amount of money is the person that flippin burgers outside years. So I want to be a professional athlete and be able to really change my financial future.

Six days a week for fourteen years. Yeah, do you like IT that part of IT? I I love you.

You know, I think I think that's my purpose. I feel like that's why god put me on the first to chase my dreams and, you know, work hard and push my body and my mind the limit, not just my body, but it's also, it's a mental thing. And I feel like fighting is a lot of mental. You know, if the thoughts that you put in your hear are really, you can manifest a lot of things in this board, but you can also bring yourself down. You know if you're thinking negative thoughts, you know you are going to have positive results.

So what are the things that you do to keep yourself strong inside, to keep yourself fearless?

Um you know I just I think about you know the people that are the real heroes and celebrities in this country, people like laender cement people in military think about what their day day lives are there. There is no holidays for war. You know these people are serving these politicians and finding these politicians war overseas.

But they don't get IT. They don't get like a Christmas's holiday for war. No, they have to go there and protect these people and protect our country and keep us free and safe here. So I think about their life and their life's on them. You know, have a lot of friends in military, you know my body, Steven hodson, who's the first surge for the army rangers and with the the the sky, the team right now, I just think about like what he's had to go through an afghanistan, iraq and all these different um wars that has been in. And that's what makes me think about my life is easy, and I get to do some my love everyday, doesn't my passion to get up and train every single day.

So how could I ever complain about my passion and someone I love when I have someone who is fighting for our country? And you know, he all, he knows that he's standing for the red, White and blue in our country's flags and colors, but he's fighting in these politicians sent as wars. And and but he's doing IT. He's he's raised his hands and I want to do because I love my country.

It's amazing. I mean, the difference one of the difference is that between what you do and what he does is when you step in the doing, you know, for dead certain there is going to be violent same day you yeah and pretty real violence anyone has watched IT knows it's not it's not A A joke. It's not professional, restless yeah you can get really, really hurt or killed actually so how do you keep the feared bay?

Um you know I always told myself growing up there's only one man or one thing that i'm never gonna AR that's god so you I feel I got as a plan for me and he put me here for a reason to to have a platform and to be able to give IT back to the people that deserve IT most such as first responders, military and you know our troops that protect us every single day. So I just I don't think about the what could happen like the bad side of that.

I think about how I could change my life and and what good I could do with IT because, you know, I don't just want to get, get, get. I want to be able to give in. And you know, i'm starting up but not profit. You to benefit for responders in military to be able to get back to those people is like more important to me than than how I feel and myself. Fish fears in life.

Do you ever get chAllenged in bars or restaurants with people who think they can take you?

Now i've never had that happen, but I also don't ever go to bars and alcohol. Oh.

you don't drink IT does anyone to know me drink?

There's a lot of fires. Yeah, they drink a lot in their big parties, but not me. I like to live clean, healthy lifestyle.

Committed to my craft. Twenty four, seven, three, sixty five. I'm not a part time fighter who da calls me.

I got called me, you going to fighting too much aren't well, I got to get in shape now. Now one of those guys that pride myself on being ready at anytime, anywhere and against anyone. So they call me tomorrow. And like, you know, you going to fight next week and i'm ready to fight next week how I live my life.

does that happy little yeah have .

taken a couple of short notice, fights where I had to take IT on a week or tours notice know I can take those. You know I wouldn't be in favor with the u fc and I wouldn't be a guy that they can depend on, but it's one of my greatest you know assets to be able to be ready to fight for them at any time and and do good business for the U S.

How much time you spend with the other fighters?

Zero, really. Yeah, why? Because you know more than just a fighter, you know, I love fighting and that's one part of my life, but know I trying to have separation from and disconnected and also be just a human and a Normal person and and I don't want to sound myself and all my life just be all about fighting everyday. You know, I need to have some separation and just a different, different lifestyle in that.

What do things going to happen with trump in the selection?

You know, I think he's going to win by a landslide if it's a fair election, but we know that they're going to do everything they can to read this election anyway. They did the fake of IT and and all the male and voting last time, which stringer they're onna pull next and they going to try and use the moral loss type stuff in america. I don't know.

We know it's not going to be a fair election, but trumps the strongest fighter i've ever met in the most loyal person. You know what? President went in the office in their network, went down after being in office.

He's only one ever. Everybody else, you know, they sold out to lobbies and the politicians. So his hard work for america, incredible woman.

He was an, I will. One day he was in new hampton. The next day he came to watch my fight, and then he was in reno, the following dam.

And who's working harder for this country than him? That's how much he loves this country is not about hammer, what he's doing to event hamor as families a name. No, he's doing this for our country because he loves our country and he wants to put amErica first again.

Do do you talk to?

Yeah, I talked him pretty .

often was he say.

you know, he just tells me how much and mars, my restless abilities, because he used to wrestle. So I remember now he was making funny jokes about himself when when I went to the White house of visit, he's like calling, you know, what I love about you is that you're a wrestling used to restore, but I was the restore that was count ten light in the gym. So he was pretty much making a joke about himself that was getting pin.

I was like, man, that's that's very humbling for you to say something like that one of the most powerful people of all time and the most famous personal alive right now. And you're making jokes about yourself. So just shows the type of person, is he just the door, the guy next door that is just a super humble and respectful guy that loves this country and will do .

anything for IT you said he was tough.

very tough.

Explain what do you say that just.

you know, he's the only president who, you know, he had fear and everybody else, we didn't have any new wars. There was he had piece in the middle east. I mean, he had putten shaking in his boots.

Putin didn't want to lose everything. He has a russia, all the stuff. He works forward but is because he knew president trump was a tough guy.

He had mess around like if you made any threats in the media or said anything, he he would make sure that you're never going to say that again so know he's a tough guy. He wrestled um just the way he he made IT in this country. He made IT through capitalism, through hard work with his bare hands, you know, american dreams.

He trieve that just because he had a vision and he put in into action. So now a lot of people can say that most people are bored and or paid for or you got a native polos a who's use an insider trading to get rich. It's sick. There's a lot of treason as people in this country, but dont trump is not one of those.

There are a lot of treason as people in this country. What do you worry about getting .

hurt in fighting? Yeah, no, I don't. I don't worry about IT. And I put that in the back, my brain.

I've gotten hurt many times, and I always fight to IT every time. So I know I can go to any situation. Doesn't matter from her injured saker or not, i'm going to keep fighting. And I do IT for the love of my country, in the love of want to have a platform. So I can give you back to the people that .

I love the most clearly, fighter tried and psych each other out before the fight in public. I notice. Yeah, what's that without, you know, giving when your trade secrets would? What's the the purpose of the process? And does that work?

Yeah, IT absolutely works. And the process is just to try and get in in the psychological part of someone's mind and and alter them, make them, fight them with emotions. Because when you fight with emotions, you not going to fight the same as if you're in a free state where you can just not think and you can just, you know, do IT off and intuition, but if you can get someone's head and make them super mad, where they're just going to a bend in their game plane, they just want to, they just want to hurt you, they want to knock you out, then you're an advantage. But also, there is a huge aspect to a two because IT sells paper views and and creates engagement, because IT makes IT.

So people aren't to be down the middle, are either going to hate you or they are going to love you, but that's what you want, because even the hate is they're not gonna turn the the T V to watch real housewives of miami. No, they're na keep IT on U F, C, because they want to see you lose. But then you people that respect you and like you, they're going to keep watching because they want to see you win and they want to see see you keep rising. So there's a very important aspect to 这 三位 发 一次。 And um you nobody to promote yourself.

If people take IT personally, you've been pretty tough on somewhere opponents right .

yeah yeah people take IT personally, they don't realize like, but its funny because all the people have taken IT personal in the past. During the time after the the the checks cleared their banks, they realized hay, and I actually appreciate everything you did go me like you.

You made me a lot more money otherwise, if you, if you were to just been quiet and acted like a mute, but the fact that you are both and you, you made IT more animal sy filled for the fight. That made me more money in the long round. So thank you.

Go we for attacking me so what have been the most effective attacks? Give me before you up against somebody next week what what would you say about?

I would just say, you know, you're a soy boy and you know you there is one guy that he's a legitimate cock and i've called the mouth for that you play what .

that means to our audience no yeah so a cook .

is just someone that you know sits in the room and they watch their their spouse get uh, sexual rouser from someone else so you know there's people like that out there and you know, the truth is what always hurts the most.

And sure, you found out that this has happened.

I had found out this happened. They got the girl was selling a book called wag, which means wife and girlfriend. So SHE was like promoting that. You know, he had SHE had a boyfriend. SHE had her husband .

and I didn't use to be allowed.

This shouldn't be allowed. It's pretty nasty baviere.

i'd say. So what did you say about.

I just said the truth, you know, I said that disgusting. You know you're cain and you know your wife VISA is a viole lady you know he's selling books promoting being a wag, know, being a wife and a gl friend. And i'm not going to let the world not notice that i'm i'm going to bring IT to the forefront and i'm going to make sure everybody is talking about .

in and making a joke. You was he pretty excited that .

you can not exciting pretty, pretty angry. yeah. I think he pretty wants to set to the differences in octagon. Just so happens, I like to fight acting on so if IT needs to happen one day, i'd be honoured to settle that this is .

not even someone your scheduled to fight something.

even someone schedule. That is just someone that's been talking smack in the media, been thrown, you know, some terms around that mean, you know, never done anything or a lish half what i've accomplishing this poor. So I had to give them back to him a little bit.

Just say the truth. Shut up. I did shut him up, but I have a strong film that who have some melts to say very soon is when that kind .

of thing happens and what happens in the public. Does he like text you behind the scenes?

No, he does not have my number, but i'm sure he's probably trying to figure out, like my location or where i'm gonna be, who probably trying to jump me walking out of a poppy stake or some like someone else did and .

one of my prior fights try to jump you.

Yeah, because he couldn't take the truth. He couldn't andle the truth that you know that the extent that .

I took a to so you, what did you say about this other person?

I just said he was a dead by dead because he wasn't paying in his child support.

Any was.

yeah, he was wasn't paying child a board. Stop cut off his communications with his kids and you know then you know he didn't like that. He he didn't like that. I said the truth bottom. So you know he had to suck, approach me in the back of the head when I walked .

out of a restaurant that's unbelievable.

Where yeah in miami beach at poppy stake.

us at poppies of all places. So what happened next? You drop you. I can cost .

me pretty bad. And and I was like, I was able to get inside and called the cops and know then he had deal with the justice system after that.

whatever happened .

to he ended up getting a sault is so charge and he had to plead guilty to IT and you know, he had to go to jail for the night. And you probably have to pay some fines.

have you?

Do you never .

even saw him coming? You just walk another restaurant.

Now, somehow he was able to identify where I was. I was taking out with my friends and no poison. I don't know what happened, but we were walking outside and and he was able to stop me.

And he weight in the bushes would like a bunch of friends and his ski mask, what? yeah. And we walked outside, and we are going to go to another h spot, have to have the dinner. And next thing I know, boom in the back of the head, boom in the front of face, knocked my two th out.

And then you not sure two thout, yeah.

So he couldn't beat me illegally. I'd be them up for twenty five ministry in the u fc. upon. So of course, he had to do IT illegally when I wasn't looking, because if you look me an eyes like a man, he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to me. But only way he could do something as if you cheap shot at me and stock me like like the criminal that he is.

Well, you got into his head, that's for sure. Yeah.

have you seen him sense now? Have seen him sense you would you good thing.

Do you think get ever fighting again?

Um I don't think the usc would sanction that because they just saw how easily I beat him the first time like I beat him every round, convincingly knocked them down. Drag them fifty forty three in a soda is what I gave him in so I don't think the usc would give me easy match up like that over again. The usc likes to make prestigious and high level fights. They wouldn't to give me some amauri not on my love. You know, that's .

absolutely crazy that he did that. yes. And and your friends at this guy before, right?

Yeah, we are best friends for eight years. We live together for three years, best best friends. But that's the, you know, that's what this, what does the people like? People will sell out their friends before money. All he wanted was fame and money. So as soon as I started to reaching up and getting high in this world, as when he took a personal and his ego kicked, and he was like him, and like, we can be friends, and I want money more than I want to be friends with you.

Jumping a man outside puppies is not kind of the road to success.

That was that not you know but it's on brand for him. You know he's still on cars in the past and he had multiple fell any charges. So no, it's on brand for the type of person that he is.

Most of guys who are in the attack on from pretty rough backgrounds.

I yeah a lot of them is a lot of misfits. You know a lot of people that didn't do good in school or just, you know have rough backgrounds, button know in in on sanctions fights that usually what brings out fighters, you know see a lot of deep intellect, smart fighters out there know they graduate college and you know these crazy degrees. So most fires are just trouble. Kids who just want to get locked in a cage and hurt someone all I know how to do.

Yeah, did you fight a lot of a kid?

I did because I got bullied a lot. I was like a smaller kid and and I wrestled. So everybody always was I that the wrestle and I was small as, so they want to pick on me and call me out and fights and like, let's fight in the park and and then I member, I got one fight, the park, and I came home and my mom, like, you're never fighting to go.

And kobe, if you want to fight, go to the U. F, C, and make money to fight. And that's one like the the bell run in my head I was like, all, you're right, mom, I should just go make this, make this a living and start fighting for but .

your mom got you into the u fc.

She's the one that, yeah let me down that path.

Did you watch your fights? SHE does yeah SHE fan.

She's a fan. yeah. He likes, he loves the overall this poor, just the journal that that IT causes and just that is feel that he creates .

is IT hard to have a personal life if you're doing this for living .

IT is if you want to be successful, be great. Because, you know, most people, they want to, they don't understand the commitment that IT takes to be a fighter. You know, they die. The healthy lifestyle, the sacrifices, you know, I can't go out and go drinking with you one nighter on a week, you know, have drinkers at at dinner that that's not realistic for a fighter, you know, have the clean to make sacrifices, I have to go to bed on time, wake up early to go train. So most people in one hang out of fighters because this kind .

of a boring lifestyle. Yeah, what do you eat?

So i'm not like a healthy organic die. I try to eat only earth grown foods you meet, you know, vegetables. Uh, I take a lot of, uh, my die from the food permit that I learn when I was a kid.

And i've just learned over time, and what works for me, obviously, what works for me is going to be different than what what works for you. But know, I think eating healthy, getting at least the gun on the water day, you know, your bodies made up sixty, seventy percent water. Your brains like something like that, forty, fifty percent water. So it's important to get high water and take, you know, just have that healthy diet constantly.

How much people to be?

I don't .

eat pizza.

No ice cream ooks once, maybe every six months. wow. Yeah, i'm dedicated. I'm committed to want to be the best fighter in the world and do whatever IT takes to get that.

How do you cut the weight and describe with that with that processes?

yes. So the way kind thing is pretty much it's like a sponge of thing. Like you know a sponge, you squee and all the water comes out. Yeah, that's kind of like what the diet is when because you take out all the sault in your diet. So pretty much in the morning I have eggs, lunch I have chicken and a fish, all lean meat, but completely plain, no, no salt, no season on them, so you're eating isn't and why you're drinking your water, no other sugar, no, no coffee, no, nothing else. And when you go to run and cut weight, then the water just falls right through you, because not you .

don't T A .

to retain the water. It's pretty much as the a low carb, high protein and high water and take die and no salt, sodium, sugar, anything else, and you know, eventually that comes off and then you have to fast, like the last, like thirty hours before wings. You just don't .

eat at all or dust yeah while working out while working out what's not .

like as stuff as the artist part of of the week. It's not to fight the i'm worried about i'm just worried about the wake up and how i'll feel .

after so I can not wait to you. Drop in the last .

week for me only like ten fifteen pounds is not a lot, but fifteen .

pounds in a week that's a lot by Normal .

standards yeah by norm standard like for most fighters is about thirty pounds thirty .

pounds in a week .

yeah and a week.

How do you do that?

Most of them, they're not eating, they're not drinking. Them maybe have one million day. And then they're doing the same thing where they're not putting any salt, nobody for the week and no sugar and just high water and take and pretty much to star in themselves.

So then you've got weight. And then how long after that is the fight?

So you get the wings is the morning the day before the fight? So you get about thirty six hours to rehydrate and replanning your body before you fight the next night.

So what does that look like? You just guzzling water and eating salt, pretty much .

guzzling water, eating salt, eating a lot of carbs because you've a depriving your body of corb hydrates for a couple weeks because you are high protein, low corps. yeah. So a lot of pancakes, a posters and and you have just a lot of different electorate drinks to replanning yourself of all that water that you drink your body of.

That's absolutely crazy. How long do you for see continuing .

for in this park? Yeah, a couple more years for sure.

Is the old this usc fighter.

the older usc fighter, the end you called me, he was forty one years old, and he was a usc champion at forty one. So thirty five, i'm still six years away from that. So you know, I I still got a lot of good years I had to me, and I feel my primary now physically and mentally more important.

So I, I feel great. I know I can keep going, but I also realized that i'm more than a fighter and I have more ambitions in life than just fighting in a cage. So now I want to be the change that I always talked about as a kid in this country.

Very pretty though.

Yeah, bad. I think .

that's an achievement call. Be coming to. Thank you very much for spying all time.

Thank you so much. good.
