Hi, everyone. I'm Janice Dean, host of the Janice Dean podcast, and it's time to take the quiz. This is the quiz. History, pop culture, science, sports, civics. How much do you know? Let's find out.
Five days a week, it's five questions in less than five minutes. We asked people on the streets of New York City to play along. Let's see how you do. Question one. What is the tallest mountain in the world? I don't know. Mount Everest? That's right. Mount Everest. Question two. Who was the author of the 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice? I don't know.
Mark Twain. I don't read books. Jane Austen. That would be Jane Austen. How you doing so far? Are we going two for two? Zero for two? Don't worry about it. Let's keep going. On to question three. What does NASA stand for? National Aeronautics Special. I don't know. North American Space Agency.
National Aerospace Space Association. That is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Question four. How many tiles are there in a game of Scrabble? 128. 26. I don't know Scrabble. The correct answer is 100. Play, share, listen. Question five is next.
And now the moment you've all been waiting for. Question five.
In the Dred Scott decision of 1857, the Supreme Court found in a 7-2 decision that black Americans could not be considered citizens. One of the justices dissenting to that decision was Benjamin Robbins Curtis. Who was the other? Mark Andrews. I don't know. There's no way I'm getting this one. No clue. And the answer is Justice John McClain.
How'd you do on the quiz? Pretty good? Not so great. Either way, you can always try again tomorrow. Take the quiz every weekday at thequiz.fox. Then come back here to see how you did.
