Joining us now is the amazing Tulsi Gabbard. We have a lot of events coming up with Tulsi Gabbard that we're going to be announcing soon. Tulsi, welcome to the program. So the media is accusing me and others of spreading disinformation on FEMA. You were recently on the ground and you saw firsthand what is true and not true. Certainly, if FEMA was actually doing a good job and we want to be supportive, but they're not, we have an obligation to call them out. What did you see on the ground in North Carolina?

You know, when FEMA says we are out there and on the ground and we are knocking on people's doors and offering assistance, maybe they're doing it. But I can tell you from my time there on the ground, the folks that I talked to who were off the beaten path in some of the most hard hit

small communities were shrugging their shoulders and saying they had not seen anyone from FEMA. There was no one who had come knocking on their doors. Many of them had lost their homes. And they were asking me to deliver messages to FEMA saying, hey, can you please hurry up and get down here? Send the Army Corps of Engineers here.

pay for contractors to clear debris from a dam that's at danger of breaking, creating yet another disaster upon this disaster. I ended up running into someone from FEMA at an emergency operations center a couple of counties away from them, delivered this message and got a little bit of a shrugged response saying, oh, yeah, that sounds like something for the Army Corps of Engineers.

it did not inspire confidence in me, Charlie, that they have a very good handle on what's going on on the ground. And it frankly reminded me a lot of what we saw and experienced in Maui after the tragic and historic fires that completely raised the town of Lahaina to the ground. FEMA said, we're on the ground, we're delivering $700 per affected family. But what I saw in Maui was similar to what I saw there in North Carolina, which is you have people wearing FEMA jackets,

and emergency operation centers, perhaps, far away from many of these towns that have been almost completely wiped off the map. That's a big problem when you're going out to those folks who have been most affected and they have yet to see anyone from the federal government coming out there and at a minimum just saying, hey, I'm here for you. Tell me what you need. What's the most urgent problem that you guys are facing? And let me see how we can help

solve it. FEMA is such a huge bureaucracy. Oftentimes, they're putting their workers up in fancy hotels, using our taxpayer dollars in ways, ultimately, bottom line, not getting to all of those who need help the most.

So Tulsi, how does this contrast with previous disaster responses? Obviously, Hawaii was bad. Is this a Biden-Harris administration problem? Is this just a new standard operating procedure? Is this another example of just the decline of the country that is enveloped by this nonsensical bureaucracy? It seems as if we're a country that can no longer do the basic things

And when our citizens need help the most, we kind of turn our back on it. Is this a recent development and what is the best possible explanation for it?

Unfortunately, in my home state of Hawaii, I've been through a number of different disasters. We've had active volcano and lava flow taking out entire communities. We've had hurricanes. We've had floods. We've had a historic, the most tragic fire in our country's history in over 100 years. We've seen a lot of these natural disasters. And almost in every single case,

We've seen the FEMA bureaucracy taking far too long to kick into gear in a way that's actually meaningful and helpful. I don't doubt that government leaders are having conversations on the phone, but the reality is, are they really showing up on the ground immediately where the people need help the most? As you know, perception is reality, and too often in these cases,

The perception is that the federal government is nowhere to be found. And yet we as taxpayers obviously are funding what is the number one emergency management agency in the federal government.

What I really look at is leadership and the importance of leadership, especially during extreme times of need. If we have leaders who care at every level, at the federal level and at the state level, if we have leaders who care, imagine that every one of those people affected is your sister or brother or child or parent.

You would go to the ends of the earth, kicking down doors, cutting through red tape to be there for them, to deliver what you can. And note there, of course, there are obstacles naturally, but if we have leaders who care, bottom line is they make it happen. They will find a way.

So, Tulsi, it's also just a priorities problem. We've spent a couple hundred billion dollars on Ukraine, and it seems as if Kamala comes in and says, here's $750, peasants, have a nice time. You're right about care and concern. Why is it that the Uniparty in D.C., and Donald Trump is exempt from this, cares far more about funding Zelensky's lifestyle and the pension funds of Ukraine than our own citizens?

You know, I was thinking about that this morning, Charlie, when I'm hearing these statements coming from the White House about how, well, you know, we're not going to, Secretary Mayorkas of Homeland Security, we're not going to have enough money to be able to provide this emergency support to people. And it's different pots of money going to fund illegal immigrants and

their emergency housing and their emergency food and support needs. But people who've seen in North Carolina and in some of these other States, their homes being completely swept away, who don't have a vehicle, who don't have a home, maybe they lost their business as well. Uh,

I don't see that immediate deployment of, hey, here's a place for you to live. Here's a vehicle for you to use for these American citizens. And they're stuck on like, well, this pot of money and that pot of money, go to Congress, move the money from one place to another, whatever you need to do. But then I thought this morning, Charlie, somehow when it comes to Ukraine, you remember more than a few times we've seen the Department of Defense say, hey, guys, guess what? We just found $4 billion that-

We didn't know it was there. So we're going to hurry up and send that $4 billion to Ukraine. We saw emergency funding going out to humanitarian crises in Lebanon just the other day. Somehow the permanent Washington establishment, the uniparty that is the war party, they find a way to continue to fund these wars that are not only not in our interest, they're actually counterproductive.

to our own national security. They put us at greater risk of World War III and nuclear war. But when it comes down to our fellow Americans facing some of the worst disasters that they've ever seen and that our country has seen, they come up with these excuses

Well, hey, we've already spent $200 million. Like, OK, got it. You just sent another $8 billion without congressional appropriation just a couple of weeks ago to Zelensky, who showed up and knocked on your door with his handout for more money. What about these residents in North Carolina who are applying for $750 of relief from FEMA and being turned down?

down. It's unexplainable and inexcusable in my view. And it is directly in the hands and on the lap of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, this is happening. Of course it is, because foreign abstractions matter a lot more than the immediate concern of the citizens of the country.

So we only have a minute here, but I have to play this and I want to just get your reaction on this. There's a new term called disaster equity. This is your government's disaster preparedness meeting talking about the focus should be on LGBTQIA people. They struggled before the storm is what your government says. Play cut 27. LGBTQIA people and people who have been disadvantaged already have

are struggling. They already have their own things to deal with. So you add a disaster on top of that, it's just compounding on itself.

And I think that is maybe the why of why we're having these discussions, because it isn't being talked about. It isn't being socialized. We're not paying attention to this community. The shift that we're seeing right now is a shift in emergency management from utilitarian principles where everything is designed for the greatest good, for the greatest amount of people, to disaster equity.

I guess it's no longer about helping people, but it's disaster equity.

I feel simultaneously like I want to cry and like I want to scream that this makes me so angry to see that they are not just this is why they're not doing their job. This is why they're failing. If they were focused solely on delivering resources to those who need it the most. I don't care what your sexuality is. I don't care about anything else. You are our fellow American. You need help. The federal government needs to be there. Period. Full stop.

They're creating a caste system of who gets the resources of the taxpayers based on completely irrelevant criteria. Every citizen deserves help, but disaster equity. It's not going well for her. Kamala Harris...

is obviously not seeing the voter registration or the internal polling that she likes. Otherwise, she would have no reason to be doing this sort of media circuit. I want you to react to this. This is a very important tape here where Kamala Harris says,

says that Donald Trump would terminate the Constitution of the United States, play cut 52. People are saying this could be the closest election in a century. I personally cannot understand why anyone would vote for him. A lot of it is I think he's getting bad information, people are getting bad information from other channels. But do you have an explanation for this at all? Well, let me just add to your list. I mean... Listen, it's only an hour's show.

Including, he has said he would terminate the Constitution of the United States. Tulsi, your reaction to the women of The View? Actions. Let's look at actions.

Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Tim Walz, these are all people who in different words have said very recently that the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights, our constitutional right to free speech is an impediment or an obstacle to their ability to gain total control or to quote unquote govern or build consensus.

They don't want us to be able to exercise our right to free speech on social media. They want Elon Musk and Zuckerberg and all these people to clamp down on our right to free speech because it gets in the way of their freedom.

goal, which is total control. It is such a joke to hear Kamala Harris say what she said, because not only now, but over these last four years and beyond, she has shown time and time again that she holds no regard in the Constitution and she rejects it through her actions, her words and her policies. She rejects our right to free speech.

No matter how much she talks about apparently this Glock that she owns and she's shot at a range at some point in time, she wants to take away our Second Amendment rights, our rights to protect ourselves and our loved ones. She doesn't believe in the freedom of religion and the article in the Constitution that says there shall be no religious test as she voted against some of President Trump's judicial nominees for the sole reason of them being practicing observant Catholics.

There are so many examples. She wants to talk about a list. There's a whole list of things about how she is directly undermining our Constitution and how it is getting in the way of her greed and ambition for power. Actions speak louder than words. That is so smart, Tulsi. Thank you for mentioning that. I actually just messaged my team in the chat. We need to bring that back to the surface that Kamala Harris voted against nominees because they were Catholic. That is so powerful and so smart.

So let's I want to play cut 45 here because it's about foreign policy, something near and dear to your heart. And I know we're going to be together in Tucson next week doing an event. I'm really excited about that, Tulsi. I'm sure this will be a big topic. This is Kamala Harris speaking about Ukraine. Play cut 45. No, Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine. As president, would you support the effort to expand NATO to include Ukraine?

Those are all issues that we will deal with if and when it arrives at that point. Right now, we are supporting Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russia's unprovoked aggression. Donald Trump, if he were president, Putin would be sitting in Kiev right now. He talks about, oh, he can end it on day one. You know what that is? It's about surrender.

Boy, she's making Dick Cheney blush. Tulsi, one minute, please summarize that, your reaction. Kamala Harris was in Europe a few days before Putin invaded Ukraine, speaking very clearly and loudly about how Ukraine should become a member of NATO. This was one of the main instigators crossing this red line that Russia, during Putin's reign and before him, has been.

been the red line. And for any objective-minded person, you can understand why they wouldn't want NATO missiles sitting in Ukraine, the country that shares the biggest border with Russia more than anyone else. Kamala Harris has put us, the American people, in this position where we are closer to the brink of World War III and nuclear war than we ever have been before. We are staring down the barrel of nuclear Armageddon because

because of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, she's now hedging and hawing, well, maybe this or that or whatever. We are already here. She and Joe Biden, Secretary Austin and Tony Blinken have all said that they want Ukraine to be a part of NATO, which directly imperils our safety and security. Joining us right now is Sarah Carter, who's on the ground in North Carolina. Sarah, welcome to the program. Tell us what you are seeing. Describe it to our audience. Is this a Katrina-type moment? Status of the roads? Is Starlink helping? Death toll predictions? Tell us all about it, Sarah Carter. Oh, thanks so much for having me on. I got to tell you, I've never seen such devastation in my life. Like when it comes to an area that

was so unprepared for what happened with Hurricane Helene. You know, these are people that live in the mountains of North Carolina, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, some of the hardest hit, Guadalnoa area, where the waters just overflowed from the lakes, from the rivers. It actually, what's so fascinating, Charlie, is there was actually a geographical shift

In the rivers in Chimney Rock, businesses just completely obliterated. We're still not sure of the death toll. I know you know, what is the death toll? We don't know. They've said somewhere around 200 right now is the number that the government's giving out. I've been hearing from other people that they've been finding more and more bodies. I know that this past weekend in an area that I was at in

want to know, actually the day of the rally in Butler, they found three more bodies in that area. If you remember cars,

were rushed downstream. There were people that were found in their vehicles. Some people escaped. Some people, by the grace of God, were saved. I know of one gentleman who actually was in his home as it was rushing down the river and was able to survive that. Others did not.

There is no service in certain areas. We have, I've been speaking to the sheriff, local law enforcement, as well as neighbors and firefighters and, you know, others who have come from states as far away as Texas, Idaho, who have come here to help. They are up in the area removing trees and debris. It's going to take years for this area to recover. I can tell you that...

FEMA

for the most part has been absent. So let's see. Today I was talking to a volunteer firefighter. They said they saw FEMA for the first time today in Chimney Rock. And others who have said that when they did get in touch with FEMA, they were either declined their FEMA, you know, the $750 that was promised. One man who had lost his entire home, his entire apartment. And by the grace of God, he got his four-month pregnant wife out

out of the apartment before it was rushed downstream in Chimney Rock, he said that when he contacted FEMA,

And by phone, they declined him the $750. And he said, well, all I own was personal items. I live paycheck to paycheck. And they said, well, you need to get on the Internet, make another application, and do it this way. And he goes, how am I supposed to get on the Internet? I have no service. I had to, like, use a sat phone to contact you. So there is a lot of problems here, a lot of failures on the government side of things.

A lot of frustration. You can hear it in people's voices. They're not afraid to say it. I posted a video up on my app showing a sheriff, Sheriff Wright, and another sheriff who were basically saying, you know, if the federal government is only going to get in the way, then just get out because

We're here to help each other. And we don't need somebody stepping on our toes or getting in our way if they're not going to help. So it's a real tragedy. Let's play that. Milton is only going to add insult to injury here. Let's play cut 61 here. But if you had a message for the White House and how they've handled the situation up here.

In North Carolina, what would your message be, Sheriff Wright? If you're gonna do the things you've been talking about doing, we just assume you stay out of the way and let the good men and women around the mountain area in the foothills take care of our own because you're nothing more than a boat anchor. No help, FEMA hasn't been helpful. Wait a minute, that lady that's running for president talks about the $750.

What about all that money you give to Ukraine and all these other people that really want to kill us, don't want to do anything to help us? Why don't you just give that money to them? That's who you want to give it to to begin with. I like this guy. Sarah, introduce us to this guy. Yeah, this is Sheriff Wright. He's amazing. He's been out there volunteering. He's a North Carolina sheriff. People have said – now, see, I just ran into him. It was interesting. I'd gone up to Chippy Rock. I was up there –

meeting residents, meeting volunteer firefighters. I wanted to see the destruction for myself. We had to get permission to go on up in there in Rutherford County. Um, they guided us up into the area. It's very dangerous still because a lot of the buildings are on the edge of collapse. Um,

They need to be demolished. They finished clearing out some of the roads. And here I see this, you know, this sheriff, this quintessential, you know, North Carolina sheriff on the back of an ATV working out there, taking care of business, doing what he needed to do, helping the firefighters. And I walked up to him and somebody said to me, Hey, this guy, this is the most famous sheriff in North Carolina. And I said, Oh really? Well, I got to meet him. And I went up and I went to talk to him. So it was,

Just a bit of a surprise, you know, just being on the ground, Charlie, the most important thing is that people want to be heard. They just want to be heard. And we have so many Americans, you know, inflation, they're dealing with inflation, they're dealing with living paycheck to paycheck. And now, like you said, to add insult to injury, in so many ways, they are dealing with this disaster that has left them

kind of spinning. They're in shock now. Some of them are already at the processing it and they're in tears and they're saying, wait a minute, how am I going to get through this? The holidays are coming up. Of course, they're worried about people's lives. I was just talking earlier today with a grandmother, listen to this, to her 11 day old grandchild.

was rescued by civilian helicopters. These are civilians that are volunteering their time, bringing in their helicopters, coming in. They rescued her daughter, her, and the grandchild. Grandchild was on the edge, was blue in the face, a preemie. They went into the area. They pulled the baby out, but the grandmother had to climb to the top of a hillside to make the phone call so that

People would know that they were there. So the heroes in this story are never ending. And it's the American people and the villains. So I'm just curious. Why the government? So there's all these military bases nearby. Why is the military not been deployed? Where are the military helicopters? It's not a matter of martial law. You can deploy the military in times of crisis.

natural disaster. Has the military been deployed here to help American citizens? We have not seen them. And I've heard there have been some National Guard out here. I have not seen them myself. I've been all over the place. There have been some, but they have not been deployed the way that they need to be deployed on Sean Hannity last

night I had a gentleman who's also the coroner of Avery County, John Millen, and I had him on the show and he is a former retired, actually national guardsman. And he said, it's just been an epic failure on the part of the state, as well as on the part of the federal government to deploy the necessary resources. Like they've got the reef. Why aren't we deploying them? They've got the resources. Why isn't it being utilized? And now,

you know, this concern about Hurricane Milton and what's going to happen there. We've got Governor DeSantis and obviously amazing governor who's doing his part and saying, you know, well, we're going to take care of our own. Well, that's what's come to pass here in North Carolina. But mainly it's been the people taking care of their own. So we have not seen that. I'm heading up right now into Chimney Rock,

I'm grateful that I could be with you right now on the air because once I get up to Chimney Rock, it's impossible to get any service. And Lake Lourdes, let me just describe that. I don't know if people saw that on the show last night, but on Chucky and I, but the entire lake is just full of debris. It's going to need to be drained. We're talking billions of dollars of

probably in destruction and it's going to take years to clean everything out. And the lake is completely filled with debris everywhere.

When you talk about looking for search and rescue, they're going to have to deploy super divers into that lake, Charlie, to be able to navigate that lake and see if there are any of the missing people are in that lake. And that's the biggest tragedy here. The loss of life, the loss of property. God bless the Meriden's Purse and other organizations that are volunteering and do

doing the yeoman's work out here to make sure that these families are getting what they need. But I'm going to tell you this, if it weren't for the churches, for the organizations that are out here, for the people that are giving of their time, I wouldn't want to think of what it would be like right now. Because I could tell you this, there were no government workers, there was nothing deployed to cut down those trees. The people that actually cleared the roads and have done the rescues,

Your government doesn't care about you. Your government cares about Ukraine. Kamala Harris has contempt for the American people, happy to watch the American people die and suffer and suffocate in mud.

Milton, of course, is the awfully intense hurricane. It is intensifying by the hour. It went down to Category 4. Now it is back to Category 5. That is about to just...

Florida. Yeah, no, people think it's category four. It actually just got upgraded again based on what I was reading. It could be wrong, but it's pretty intense. Tell us about the need to be prepared in this season. You know, it's a humbling and sober reminder whenever we get these types of news articles about major developments, whether it be a natural disaster like the hurricanes, whether it be an ice storm or a winter storm. It causes people to take a step back and really look at their own selves and their own family's needs.

It doesn't have to be this, but just a backpack with some shelf stable emergency items like, you know, canned goods or even calorie bars like this that have up to a five year shelf life. So you don't have to keep

updating your survival kits. You can fill that up with long-term emergency water pouches, something like this that you can have inside of your backpack. So if you do get the call in the middle of the night that you need to evacuate or you need to relocate to a different location, you can quickly grab your things and you can go and you can be self-sufficient to be able to provide for the needs of you and your family.

You know, we talk a lot about different scenarios, different situations. You know, if their power is out, if the power grid were to get attacked or the power grid were to go down, having something like a solar power bank handy by again, it doesn't have to be like these items, but items similar to this that you can charge up your cell phones. You can be able to get communication devices working. You can have power for those little accessories. You know, one of the awesome things that we have, too, is a solar power generators very similar to this.

where if you are reliant upon a CPAP machine, those critical medical devices, this will run your devices throughout the night. It charges with a solar panel so you don't have to be connected to the grid to be able to operate it. Little things like this go a very, very long way.
