Meet Jill Evans. I am quite soft and I think that's a side only a few people ever saw of me. Jill's friends think that she's got it all figured out. Always immaculate, immaculately dressed. She's just got zest for life. She beams life. Jill's got it all. A big house, fast car, two kids and a great career. But Jill has a problem. My taste in men, it was all over the shop.
When it comes to love, Jill can never seem to get things right. Here I am again, second bloody divorce. I'm just thinking, what's the point? And then along comes Dean. Dean Jenkins. He's charming. I thought, ooh, he's quite nice. He's quite a roughy-toughy man's man. When we met, it was as though we'd been together 100 years. With a successful business... I can't believe my luck!
I hit the jackpot. And he's sexy. The sexual chemistry was boiling. He had a boot thing. I'm a sucker for a woman in a pair of boots. Dean's everything Jill's other boyfriends haven't been. I'd finally found what I was looking for. Even if there's some things about Jill that make Dean a little uncomfortable. She said, I'm a police officer. And he just went... Jill's a cop. And Dean, he's something else entirely. He couldn't make it up.
It looks like they're going to live happily ever after. But on Halloween night, things get a little gruesome. This is where the shooting happened outside a building society in New Romney. It's thought the 42-year-old victim was killed after he opened fire on police. And Jill's life is changed forever. I've got two kids at home. I've got a career in the police. I didn't know who I could trust.
