Rocky Film Tour)) discuss the rare Rocky V Workprint Cut. They also dive into how his life led him to be a Rocky impersonator so great that a documentary (The Pretender) was made after him!
Although the Rocky V Workprint Cut is in rough shape from what is likely a VHS master copy, it tends to have better acting and more character development than the theatrical cut. Rocky's protégé turned rival Tommy "The Machine" Gunn gets a few more moments to shine, and their fight at the end is a bit snappier. We also get more focus on Rocky's trauma from his brain injury. It's worth seeking out!
