Cashing in on the sex comedy craze birthed by Animal House and Porky's, Revenge of the Nerds looks at the downtrodden geeks as its subject of satire. Many of the pranks in Revenge of the Nerds would be considered sex crimes today. Its entire cast is game for the broad comedy at hand. Look for a young John Goodman as the football coach.
A comedy that's rather problematic, even for the 1980s, Revenge of the Nerds has enough winning moments and great cast chemistry to make it worthwhile.
