Pulling in elements from The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned, this dopey sequel ignores large swaths of the book to make a generic early 2000s vampire movie. Aaliyah has some fun as the titular villain and Stuart Townsend looks the part of Lestat, but the loads of characters and flashbacks rush along a story that would be more appropriate for a miniseries. Author Anne Rice claims this movie mutilated her books.
