Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss King's Quest 2: Romancing the Throne. Now a king, Graham requests companionship and follows his Magic Mirror's visions of a kidnapped Princess to gain a bride.

The second proper King's Quest game if we don't count Hi-Res Adventure # 2: The Wizard and the Princess, King's Quest 2: Romancing the Throne has more of a plot of sorts than the original. Instead of retrieving three treasures to become king, you are opening three doors to get a bride. In all seriousness, there are some ease of use features (less frustrating stair climbing, warnings when a monster enters a screen) that make the game a bit more palatable. An ending in a chapel has some winning cameos and Al Lowe gets to show off his music chops here in brief motifs that play in certain scenes based off public domain music.

More focused than the original, King's Quest II: Romancing the Throne is a fine continuation in the series.
