Gross-out gags is the name of the game as key sequences focus on monkey brains, bugs, and ritual sacrifice. Pacing sometimes suffers as the story lurches from moment to moment until it reaches a real hell of a finale involving mine carts, a rickety bridge, and a not insignificant amount of fisticuffs!
