Originally promised in the credits of Clerks as Kevin Smith's next film, Dogma is a comedy that digs deep into Biblical lore. One of Smith's higher grossing films, Dogma's killer cast and thoughtful story combines the holy and the profane into a fun mix. The more you know about the Bible, the funnier this is. Judge Not...In Defense of DOGMA, a feature-length documentary filmed for the original DVD release, was delayed for several years because it was considered too offensive; it later appeared as a bonus feature on Vulgar, an indie feature produced by Smith.
