Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi, Thrasher, and Alex Miller discuss the career of the recently retired Bruce Willis. After being a bartender, Bruce's charm landed him some roles as an extra before he shot off to TV superstardom with four seasons of Moonlighting. Despite starting off in comedic roles, he was cast in the lead of Die Hard, one of the most iconic action movies ever made.
A mixture of action, comedy, and drama films followed, not to mention a few cameos along the way. Much of his past decade has been filled with direct-to-video work savaged by harsh reviews. On March 30, 2022, Bruce Willis and his family released a statement that he "has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
Bruce Willis acting career is that of a working actor. He did it for the love of the work, had some nice paychecks along the way, and was fearless in choosing different genres. His presence on the silver screen will be missed.
