Rebecca Lauderdale is a board certified internal medicine doctor and fellow of the American College of Physicians. She started her practice of medicine as a hospitalist and after 9 years and an experience of severe burnout, she made a major career shift to practice outpatient primary care Internal Medicine focusing on patients with high risk chronic disease.Dr. Lauderdale has served in leadership positions including currently serving in her second term on the Board of Directors at Hattiesburg Clinic, an honor achieved through election by an over 300 partner group. Because of her own experience of burnout, she has become an advocate for physician flourishing. Dr. Lauderdale created a physician peer group program at her organization, and has a podcast, Women Physicians Flourish., which focuses on teaching the skills and concepts required for not just eliminating burnout, but achieving true flourishing.
