What's up guys, it's Sam and Taylor. And we want you to put your shoes on, pop open that energy drink, and go. Hello guys, welcome back to another episode. I'm Taylor. And I'm Sam. And this is a good little interesting week when you're listening to this. We're both in Florida. Yes, we are. We are both in Florida. Fun fun.

Different locations. We're not together. Six hours away. Yeah, six hours. How did you know that? Did you look it up? Because I've driven from Miami to... Oh, okay. From that area so many times. Well, I guess I'm going over to Marco Island. That's where my grandmother lives, and my entire family is going to be down there. So I'm bringing Macro along with me, and I'm just going for five days. Yeah, I'm going to Ocala, Florida, in the middle of nowhere, to visit my boyfriend for his 21st birthday. Okay.

That should be fun times. It's going to be fucking rager. No, it's literally not. I know we didn't go out and drink last weekend, but I kind of needed this little break to not drink. Oh, it feels great. It feels good. But I probably will. I feel like my brothers are the worst influences with that. They always peer pressure me. It's a 21st birthday. No, yeah, you definitely need to. I'm definitely going. But it felt like this weekend, when we didn't go out,

on like last Saturday. It was like a recharge for this week. I was like, oh yeah, this is actually correct. Yeah. But not gonna lie, really like sad in a way to like be leaving on the weekend here because like we've been having so much fun on the weekends. That's what I'm saying. Like I don't, like I love to stay here. Someone, someone at the gym was like, any plans for summer? And I was like,

I don't really know. Like, I don't like, I think like travel. I was like, I don't like, I want to stay here. Other than people visiting us. That's what I'm saying. I was like, I want to stay here. Like I have no, like I just moved here. It's my first summer here. Why would I book like a two week long trip? Like I want to stay here. No. Yeah. I'd rather, if I'm going to book a trip, let's get like an Airbnb on the lake. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like for like a, I'd rather do like a staycation. Yeah. That'd be a lot of fun. Yeah. Good idea. Yeah. Putting it down in our little ideas. Yeah.

But, yeah, so we can kind of talk, like, touch base with you guys about, like, how we're going to be staying on track with our, you know, calorie deficit. As you guys have been seeing on our YouTube channels, plug the YouTubes. Make sure you guys are subscribed. We've been doing a lot of full-day meetings. So that's, like, the visual aspect for everything. But then on the podcast, we like to just share with you guys, like, what's going on mentally and physically with that. Yeah.

I've been feeling good. I posted a transformation. You what? I've been feeling good too. Yeah, good. Okay. I couldn't hear you because I'm wearing the headphones, of course, and I thought you said I don't. I was just like, okay, Taylor. No, I feel great. Yeah, so I've been feeling really good. I posted a transformation and it just kind of took that transformation that I posted to actually realize that I'm actually seeing progress because...

You guys know, like you stare in the mirror every single damn day and you're not really comparing to like, you know, three months, four months from, you know, today. And you're like, why am I not making progress? But then I compared those photos and I was like, holy shit. Like I actually am like starting to see definition in like my arms, which it was like an, um, like a, I was flexing both my biceps. So like, that was like kind of the transformation. You can see my butt or anything. But, um, so that's what I noticed. I was like, crap, like this cardio is doing something. Yeah. My big thing today actually in the gym is,

I was the most vascular in my arms I'd ever been. Was it like crazy? Like I'm talking like competitor level vascular. No, but I was doing bicep curls and I was like, no way. Like after I finished looking in the mirror and like my forearm, like there was like, there was a vein sticking out. And I was like, this is the best day of my life. So accomplished. I was like, hold up. It's working. It's working a little bit. Cause I've never seen that there. And it's, I just, I literally am like so motivated just cause like it is like

and I love the cardio. I love the steps. You guys know I've been reading on the treadmill. I literally love it. I can't wait to do it today. That's like literally on my to-do list like today. Like I have to go do it. I love it. I love the cardio. I love the sweat.

Hate washing my hair, but everything else is great. Yeah. I was going to say, I like the sweat despite the hair part, but also like within the last, I've been doing cardio, I'd say like two months now, ever since the very first day I stepped on that StairMaster, my heart rate has like decreased in like a good way in terms of like health and like endurance and like all that. So I'm like, okay, like I feel good. Like if my heart health is like really good and I feel not like,

In shape's the wrong word I'm looking for, but I just feel like I... I think it is the right word you're looking for. Yeah, I guess. But like I was in shape before. But not cardiovascular shape. Yeah, so like I just don't want that to come off wrong, but I just feel really good. You weren't in cardio shape. Yeah. So I just feel really good because I feel like I went from doing it two weeks for about a month and then I bumped it up to three months.

Wait, what did I just say? For a month, I did two times a week. And now going into my next month, now it's three times a week. I'm not really sure if I'm going to add another one. I was like contemplating it this week, adding another one. But I was like, honestly, like I've been seeing some good improvement. So I don't want to like do extra cardio if I don't really need to. And I want to get slow. Yeah. I don't know if I'd really do it if I like feel certain weeks that I'm like.

I got energy. Like, maybe this week I'll do four. We're just super busy, too. Sometimes it's hard to... Like, this week, these three days before traveling have been days. Like, I feel like I haven't had a second. All of my content is already done. Today, I was like...

I actually like my friend faced at me and I was like, I really should go start doing something. And then I procrastinated again. And then my mom texted me. So I just FaceTimed her. Cause I'd rather let's talk than like send messages back and forth. And I was like, okay, I actually do need to go podcast right now. Sorry. I need to go. Yeah. You came out and we're like, we had to podcast. I was like, I have a lot to do. Your mom was like, you should go do it. And I was like,

You're right. I was like, I should go podcast right now. Yeah. But yeah, I had a, we both did YouTube videos and I'm packing and I need to get my steps and went to the gym and all the things. So when you add an extra like 30 minutes, you're staying at the gym. Yeah. It adds up. It does. It really does add up.

But, yeah, so we're going to go travel tomorrow. My flight's at 7 a.m., unfortunately. That was, like, the only option they had. I know. And I'm going to be staying on track because your girl is going to be staying in an

I don't know if it's like an Airbnb or just like a rental home. So I have like a full access to a kitchen. So I'm going to be going to the grocery store and getting stuff for like breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner, like depending. I'm probably going to eat out once every single day. So that is just how I'm going to try my best to stay on track. In terms of like the meals that I'm eating out, I'm just going to be mindful of what I'm getting, but I'm not going to be tracking it into like my fitness balance. I'm just going to be mindful. Retweet. That's basically what I'm going to be doing.

I'm around where I am isn't the most like amazing healthy food options. Like it's not like here where I could get like flower child and sweet green. Like it's not really a place that has that kind of stuff. Like I could probably like get like Chipotle as my best like option, but I'm going to go grocery shopping. I'm going to make sure I have like

High protein ish stuff so I can like try to hit my protein Um, hopefully if I can find at the grocery store Some like little packs of protein powder that help a lot because I have a little tiny thing I just got but like I don't know if that got taken from me in security Oh for sure. You think so? That's that's really big. I've never traveled with a big protein before Yeah, that's true. But i've never traveled with a tub in my carry-on I've always put it in a check but like i'd be so pissed if they took it So I don't know if it's worth it. Yeah, and it's really big. It takes up a lot of room

Yeah, but I kind of have to. I'm not bringing that much. Yeah. But anyways, yeah, I'm going to be doing the same thing, drinking my water, really, really going to be on drinking my water because that's like you can – sometimes I slack when I travel for like no reason, and there's like – there's no reason. Like I'm bringing my water bottle. We're good to go. There's no reason I shouldn't track. I'm bringing little travel greens powder packets, which like isn't really necessary, but like I just have them, and it makes me feel better if I get – like if it's hard for me to get a vegetable in that day because if I'm just focusing on like hitting my macros.

I can drink my greens better and feel a little bit better about it. But I am going to try to have a vegetable, like, like get in like a vegetable at least once a day. Yeah. I think what I'm going to do is that kale salad I've been having every day. I think I'm going to meal prep that. It's so fucking good. Yeah. I'm going to an apartment that's like shared with four boys. So it's like, they don't have like healthy stuff.

Yeah. I did pack some protein bars. I took them out of the drawer and I put them into my bag. So that will help me, especially during the travel part. Because, guys, I have to travel. So I'm on the plane. How long is the flight to Miami? Two and a half. So two and a half hours. And then I have to get out of the car and then drive for like an hour and 45 minutes in the car. Oh, yeah. Twins. Snacks. Because I land in Orlando and I have to drive an hour and a half to David's apartment. Yeah. So...

That's what we're going to be doing. I'm going to try to go to the gym. My travel days are probably both going to be rest days unless Taylor can get me to want to go to the gym next week when I get back after landing in the morning. But if not... I'm going to go Thursday. I'm going to go tomorrow. Well, I told David, I was like, would you come lift with me after you pick me up? And he said, no. And then he was like, how would I get in there? I was like, I will pay for your day pass because I'm going to like a Gold's.

super nice golds over there, let me tell you. But I was like, I'll pay for your day pass. Like, because if he doesn't go, like, I'm not going. Like, I'm not going to get in his car and go myself. But if he says he'll go with me and we, like, plan to go, I'll go. But I need someone else to go. Like, if he's like, no, I'm not going, I'm like, then fuck it, I'm staying home. Like, I'm not driving over there by myself. So I was like...

I'm like, leave it to me. I will do anything, but please come with me because I really want to get it done. Like, I really want to like actually stick with. I'll probably, if I don't work out tomorrow, I'll work out on Sunday, but I just know I'm going to be waking up at four 30 in the morning and that's just not going to happen. Sunday. I'm probably going to be like really tired from going out. Yeah. So,

that's the sitch, but I'm really excited. I'm excited to see a beach. I'm excited to macro to meet my grandmother, my brother, because one of my brothers was in college when I, when I went home, um, last month for everyone to meet macro. So he didn't get to meet him, but other than that, I'm excited. Yeah. I'm excited too. I'm excited to like, I actually kind of like like

It's kind of nice when you're cutting because last time I was there, I was like, I didn't eat enough today. I didn't eat enough today. Like my bulk went to shit. Lost five pounds because like bulking macros were so high that if you weren't like on top of eating like as much as you needed to all the time, you were just going to be under by intuitive eating because no one wants to eat that amount of food intuitively. So like on the trip, I was just like, oh my God, I lost weight. Like I lost weight, lost all my bulking progress. So this one, it's kind of nice.

that me eating more intuitively naturally is like on on more track than bulking yeah like for me personally maybe like it's like opposite for you like you're more like you're intuitive it's like more food whatever but for me this amount of food i'm eating right now is pretty much like what my body naturally wants so i think if i just like follow that should be pretty decent

Yeah. Sounds like a game plan. Yeah. But, yeah, should we just get right into the episode? Yeah. Trying to think if anything else, like, happened this week. No, not really. Not really anything, to be honest, I feel like, because we didn't go out. We didn't do much. We worked literally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, worked, like, from the minute we got up to the minute I went to bed. Yeah, and there was, like, appointments for me. I got up.

Got a Brazilian, got my hair done. Yeah. I really want to get a pedicure, but that did not fit. Yeah, that did not fit. And I hate sitting for those. So it wasn't happening. It didn't fit. It's okay. But anyways, today we're going to talk and like rant about this like mindset that's just so freaking toxic. Yes, it really is. And that is like the hustle culture of like the overaggressive hustle culture. Obviously, we're going to share like a lot of different like aspects of it and like the do's and don'ts and like how you need to be approaching like

the hustle but one that has been really like triggering me lately I don't know if it's just like I've noticed it a lot but is like the mindset of like needing to work 24 7 and you can't have fun until work's over and you need to work on the weekends and if somebody else isn't working then they're not working hard enough just like being like hardo about it you know and yeah

Me and Taylor, we were walking to like, I think it was Whole Foods the other day. And this is where we like honestly started talking about it. We were ranting about it. We're like, look out, this has to be like a podcast episode. Cause like, again, this is something that like, I was like, I'm actually like into this topic right now. I'm like getting heated about the topic. So, um,

Yeah, I don't know. I don't even know where to begin because it really goes all over the place. Yeah, but basically it's just with this, I feel like especially fitness influencer culture because you get two sides of it. You get the fitness grind and then you get the like, I'm an entrepreneur so I got a hustle everyday grind. So when you put them together, it is like ultimate fucking hustle culture. Like it's not just work hustle culture. It's like also gym hustle culture and it goes insane. And like,

It's honestly mind-blowing, like, the idea that, like, any type of break is, like, bad because you're going to burn yourself out in maybe, I don't know, three months. Yeah. And Taylor and I, we honestly are people that have experienced this where we really burnt ourselves out with work. And that's kind of... We're in the point of our lives now where we're really enjoying, like, where we live, our, like, new friends, the people we're surrounding ourselves with. My hair. It's so bad. Yeah.

I can't stare at you. I knew it. I knew it. Taylor just fixed her fucking headphones in her hair. Made her look like an Oompa Loompa. Anyways. Anyways. As we were saying...

You were talking about how we were in like a stage of a life that we were. Yes. Okay. So we were in a stage of our life where we were just like work, work, work, work. Like we didn't stop working. It was like the weekends we were working, we weren't going out. And like, it honestly caused us to like not really develop like good friendships and relationships to a new city. We fucking moved to like, that should be the opposite thing you're trying to do is like, you want to make friends. You want to build relationships with other people because you're going to get so lost and

in like the process like we work from home which does not help at all so like working from home it's like I only see Taylor all day and then we're working working working and I'm just so burnt out that I just want to go to the go to bed at the end of the day so like we've experienced it and we thought like oh my god like working all day like this is great like awesome like I'm really starting to see like the success of me working so much but then looking back it's like

I could have been this whole time like going out on weekends like I am now and like making friends and probably have like even more built up good relationships with the friends that I have now. But like I could have been friends with them months ago, but I chose to spend so much time working my ass off. Right. And it's almost like so you're let's say you're working so hard, right? You like you've made so much money. You're on your your fitness and like you're hitting your macros grind. Your physique is crazy. OK, so you have like all this like money, right? And you look like

you look fantastic for what yeah like don't you want to like go out on the weekends bathe in suit like drink it up with your friends you got money to spend like buy a few drinks like what are you doing that for then it's like i mean you don't even get to like

Like, oh my God, you work so hard to make money, but like, what are you going to, I mean, yes, obviously you're like, oh, you could save it. Like, okay. Yeah. But you got to like, enjoy your life a little bit. Like you worked hard to make money, go out and like buy dinner. Yeah. Money. That's one thing that obviously everyone says money truly does not buy happiness. And if you're hustling, making the money, making good money, but you're not like taking the time out of your day to like go to get lunch with a friend or spend a weekend out paddle boarding or something like that.

you're not happy. And like, you can, if you're in that situation now and you're trying to like say to yourself, no, no, I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm alone. I'm fine. Like I'm working on the weekends. I'm working during the week all day. I'm happy. No, you're trying to convince yourself that you are, but realistically you're probably not. And if you were to go three months down the road and change things a little bit, look back on how you are in the present right now, you'd probably agree with me. Right. And it's just one of those things you really need to kind of like

Which I don't know if like people listening to this feel that way, but like maybe they do, but it's just, there are people that I've seen out there that I'm just like, I don't know if you're really happy. Like, do you understand like how alone you might feel right now? You know? And another thing is social media is really, really fake. Like those, like for instance, just with our jobs too, is like, you'll see like, like influencer trips or just all that type of stuff. It's just like, it's in a way kind of like fake, like fake.

Just because everyone's an influencer doesn't mean you are all best friends. At the end of the day, the influencer event is work. Yeah, the influencer event is work. And all these people aren't necessarily best friends. They're just associated together because of the brand that they're there with.

And it may seem like so much fun, but it's work at the end of the day. So it may seem like they have a really big social life, but at the end of the day, they probably don't. Yeah. And that's like basically like the point of all that is like even if it's like, oh, but I work all day and I have my work friends or have like my coworker. It's like that's still work. Yeah. Like that's still work like you need to get like out of it. And I think something that helped me

Us that I now take pride in because I used to feel guilty especially with having an abnormal job which I think anyone that relates to this probably has a more solo entrepreneur type job because obviously hustle culture is I feel like something you can only have in that otherwise you've set work times and you you leave and come home. No yeah. Unless it's a job maybe like where you have extra hours to do outside of that like a teacher that might be spending her whole entire night doing

or coming up with lesson plans or like a realtor who comes home and like keeps working those kind of jobs. Yeah. Maybe it could be like an exception, but basically the point I'm trying to make, I used to feel guilty for not working all the time, right? Like I'm telling people I've full time make content, but like,

I'm free all day Tuesday. So am I lazy? Like, do I actually not do anything? Like, do I really not work? But like, I tell people I'm busy, but like, I'm not busy. Like, I worked for like three hours and I'm done. Like, I'm done now. And I realized rather than feeling guilty for that, I should take pride in the fact that one, I'm very grateful to have the job I do. And two, like, I just, I learned to work smarter, not harder. Like, yeah.

I can manage my time and get things done quick in three hours. My work doesn't need to take me eight hours a day. I mean, some days there's a lot of stuff to do. You end up working a lot. But realistically, there's nothing wrong with the fact with having a work to-do list on a random Tuesday that I get done in three hours and have the whole day to myself. There's nothing wrong with that. You don't need to work...

I don't need to fill it all day just because and do random stuff. Yeah. And there's obviously those differences too. We're really kind of referring to if you're financially set and you're actually able just to make a living day to day. I'm not saying, oh, we're making money to spend it all on things. We're saying if you are financially set, making a living, can buy your groceries, can get yourself to work, do all that stuff,

And you would prefer to continue to work after hours rather than like go hang out with friends. You got to kind of reevaluate that because you're going to get caught up in the work aspect because you're going to start to notice like maybe you're working more. You'll start to notice more like revenue, more money coming in. But then you're going to get so caught up into it and it's just going to turn into this big spiral where you get lost. Right. Because hustle culture is just working for the sake of work, not working for the sake of money.

for the sake of money you know someone working double shifts every day to pay rent isn't hustle culture yeah hustle culture is like just working to work like literally to almost sit in a room full of people and take pride in the fact that you got the least hours of sleep yeah you were working no yeah flex like it's not a flex like to to use it as a way of being like

Well, I just work so hard. I didn't even sleep last night. Like, okay, you should probably like. Here's another one. You should probably manage your time better. Here's another one, Taylor. Hey, why don't you come hang out with us this weekend? We're going out paddle boarding.

No, I got to work on Saturday. That's the day I got to work. But why don't you want to come paddleboard with us? Like, that would be a lot of fun. No, no, no, no. Like, I have to work. Once work's done, I can hang. But it's like, it's Saturday. Do you really need to be... Do you need to be working? Like, or would you rather have fun paddleboarding in the sun? Like, meeting new people, hanging with friends? You know what this also reminds me of that I thought about this all the time? In school. In, like, college. And in, like, high school, but mostly college. Because, like, with the studying and stuff, I...

There was some exams, few, that I really took all my day studying. But for day-to-day quizzes and most exams, you just have a few hours to study. But if you pay attention in class and do your stuff, like do you need to be at the library till five in the morning? Probably not. And the fact that some people are like,

Oh my God, I haven't slept in days. Like I've been at the library till like 3am, like five nights in a row. Why? Yeah. Like work smart or not. Like something, something in your schedule might be like wrong. Yeah. If, if the only reason you're doing that is just because like you need to study for like one quiz. Yeah.

like are you just doing that to the for the purpose of saying that you work so hard and you were at the library till three in the morning were you actually on your phone a lot in the library three in the morning like what do you actually do because it's like i got it done in an hour there's a difference too between like the approach of like working really hard working over hours and like the attitude toward it the way you talk about it the way you go about it because like

I had a conversation with somebody and I was like, well, the average person doesn't work on the weekends. And they were like, well, I'm not trying to be average. I'm like, oh, okay. Like, are you trying to like degrade me or like make me feel lower than you? Because I actually wanted to go out and have fun with friends on the weekend, but you wanted to choose work. Like, it's just the way people talk about like how much they're working and how much money they're making. It's like, okay. Yeah. Especially too with like,

I mean, I feel like that even goes for like, like gym people. Like, let's say being like, not like I turned down going out or like, I don't drink. Cause I got goals. Like goals to like take a break, take a break for a sec. Like you can get on it in a more sense. I think it's like, you're really like scared to drink. Like you're scared. You don't want to because you're scared. Yeah. Because I, for a little, a very short period of time, um,

I felt that I was like, oh yeah, like I don't want to like, I'm not drinking. Like I'm going to the gym because everyone else is hung over. But like, realistically, like in my head, like I was just scared to drink because I was worried that my gains would just go away. But then I realized like, here I am now, like every other Saturday, like going out, enjoying my life, not worrying about tracking everything. And like, if someone were to ask me in middle of the week to go grab lunch or dinner somewhere, like I would do it. Like,

that's just like especially with boys like that's a big ick for me like I'm super into like the gym bros but if a gym bro I'm like hey like do you want to go grab like sweet greens like for dinner on Wednesday and they're like no I gotta hit my macros I'm gonna be like okay like you're toxic like you don't need to be hitting your macros which is why I'm saying I do think the gym influencer is the

the epitome of hustle culture because it's literally both. Like it's literally both and it's, it's, it's insane. Like it's literally mind blowing. It's actually like when you have the freedom to like fix your own schedule and like do certain things that you don't have to be such a hard ass. Yeah. Like you should just be grateful that like,

You don't have to like work double shifts shifts like every day Like you should be grateful that you have freedom in your schedule not using the freedom in your schedule to be like I grind the most like I work the most like now instead of feeling guilty that I take breaks like I actually like really really I'm proud of myself for like learning how to take breaks And like not being like, oh I had to work till midnight. Like no I stopped working after dinner. Yeah

like if if I can unless there's like a pressing thing that needs to get done which isn't really ever because like I stay like I keep my stuff done like pretty well yeah like after dinner I don't really work anymore done exactly like we're gonna film this podcast what time is it 5 30 I might edit a little more for my trip but like I won't be really working past seven yeah like and that's even late for me and before it was like I feel like I needed to be like

I don't know, on all the time. Yeah. Like work on Sundays. No, I don't need to work on Sundays. I'd rather plan my week better and get it done by Friday. Exactly. And do a little extra work on a Wednesday. Like you can just plan it. It's a way bigger flex to say like I plan my schedule well to give myself free time than to literally be like having a conversation with someone about like who's done the most work that week. Yeah. Yeah.

It really is. So, like, I guess, like, kind of, like, to say, like, sum it up in, like, the aspect of, like, what we're trying to refer to is, like, just because you're not working 24-7, like, someone who's hustling way more than you doesn't mean you're not successful. Like, you...

People can get very caught up, especially on social media. Like there will be like those like hustle, like influencers. Like I don't even know. Girl boss. Yeah. Like the girl boss ones, like they make you feel bad in a way because you're not like working hard enough. And it's just like, it shouldn't be like that. Like everyone's like,

having their own startup and everyone starting a podcast and everyone i can't i can't with the girl boss is being like i made six figures and like in two months from joining like whatever like this fucking pyramid scheme is or the influencers there's influencers being like micro influencers like nano influencers being like i made twenty thousand dollars off this instagram story i'm gonna teach you how to as well with my business strategies like and it's like

calm down one no you didn't that twenty thousand dollars for one instagram post did not happen yeah and you can't lie and say it did but it's just like the like everyone like everyone has a startup everyone has some sort of coaching business like a fitness coaching business a social media coaching business like they're in an mlm like everyone's like trying to do just so much so much it's like it relax because there's more there's so much more to you as a human being than your work and i think that's what something we really um

with working online especially like your work isn't like your real like your work is just your work but then you have so there's so much like real life it's not real life there's so much more to real life like going like what we do on saturdays that's real life when i'm home with my family like that's real life going to spend the weekend with my boyfriend like that's real life everything else is just work yeah like honestly touchy subject but like when people or like two months ago or whatever like when we had that the whole like

cancel culture thing happened to us i was like it really goes to show that like social media is not real life like these people just don't know who i am as a human being well it was for me it was the the realization when i felt like the whole world's crashing in right work work work was over right work got stripped from me life is over world done walking on the sidewalk big group of people right big no idea what the fuck's going on they're just walking and i was like

Look at these people in this like giant city just walking. Like life is continuing. They don't know anything about me. I'm like, this like isn't real. Literally. These people, like this group of 20 people walking past the sidewalk. They're just going around like, like the world is turning. Yeah. That's real life. The world is so fucking big. And like, if you're going to keep it and just like your work, like there's so like, so when someone's like, oh, what do you do? And you're just like, I work real estate or whatever the fuck. It's like, okay. And what else? Yeah. Like,

Anything else you do? Yeah. Like for fun, maybe? You got to reflect too. If you're listening now and you're kind of wondering like, oh my God, is this me? Like, am I like dealing with this right now? Reflect on the last six months. Think of at least five really fun, good memories you've made with some friends. And if you can't, then I don't want to tell you, you need to maybe step back from work a little bit and try to, you know, reach out to some friends.

build honestly i would say your relationship with your friends maybe isn't honestly as tight as it as it should be if you're working 24 7 family like yeah go maybe you have siblings like you know what i'm saying you have a dog like going to the dog park with your dog like do you like do real things yeah like real life actual activities so um and and i feel like some people might be like

Well, like my job is hard. Like I can't, right? Like everyone just wants to be like, no, I can't. I follow, like I follow this girl. I'm like random shout out. Like, I don't think she listened to this. I'm not even going to like plug her. I don't think she'll hear it, but she is like in medical school, right? Girls grinding, like girls grinding so much work, right? Like, I don't know what it's like to be a medical student, but it seems like the fucking grind. She still has like,

a life and hobbies for herself yeah like she travels and she has memories with friends and like

She does Instagram, but it's more so like her Instagram is kind of more so like a hobby. Like, cause she's obviously shouldn't be a doctor. Like, like she's not like going to be an influencer forever. Like, like she does kind of Instagram is like her hobby. And like, so it's like, it's not that you need, like you can still do things like, like she has like a full on like career. Like she's gonna be a doctor and she still has like a life. So if you're like, no, but my job, like I can't, I can't take breaks. You can. Everyone can take a Sunday off at the minimum.

Yeah. And again, can not preach it enough. Money is not going to buy you happiness. So like if you can take those extra days off from work, say you do have like a typical nine to five, but you're taking up like the extra shifts just to take them up because you feel like you have nothing to do on those days off. Challenge yourself. Find something fun to do. If you live near like a lake, go paddle boarding.

If you live near some trails to go hiking, go hiking. Be outside. Be in the present. I promise you it's going to be such a good life reflectant for you to actually realize that there's more outside of just working. Right. And for the older people that maybe have families at this point or whatever it may be,

like I've heard a lot, like I feel like I hear so much in like older people, like when someone has a job that carries itself home, like they still take calls when they're at home. Like they'll answer a work call at like 8 p.m. Yeah. Like stuff like that. One thing like I vow to do, like if I have a family and I have kids, like,

A work call will not be answered when i'm home. Yeah, like you know what I mean? Like if it's like if I legitimately have a family like you need to set boundaries for yourself Yes, which is like huge like if you've worked from home and you have no schedule Like I said, like for me, it's like after dinner like okay, it'll go down tomorrow also Super like because you said that another one is don't let your work take advantage of you

Like in the aspect of them overworking you. Because girls, I have fucking experienced that with that coaching business that I worked for literally like a year ago. That's such a good example, bro. Because I feel like

Like, not that you were, like, intentionally hustle culture. But, like, I was pushed into it. You literally worked all the time. And when I'd hang out with you, I'd almost, like, feel guilty that, like, I wasn't working as much. Yeah. Like, I was like, how do you have so much to do? I was like, you are just go, go, go. And I'm like, do you want to do this today? You're like, I have to work. I was like, why don't I have to work? Like, I was like, I don't have to work. Like, I did, like, I knew what I needed to do. Like, and this could be for literally any job. Like, it could be a job where, like...

say you're like an overnight nurse or something and they want to call you in for an extra shift because they maybe need you safe or even like a restaurant my like good friends at home like work at a restaurant she always gets fucking called in for work and I'm like say no like you don't need to be working those extra hours those extra shifts guys I fucking quit my job that I was working for that coaching company because they overworked me so much

You have all the power, all the control. So do it. Because if a company or just like any job in general is like taking up more time from you and you feel so fucking drained from it, take a step back. You're in control. What are they going to do? They're going to be, if they were to fire you or like to do anything like that nature, okay. Maybe that was a sign because you really shouldn't be working with them. But also why would they fire you? Because clearly they needed you. Yeah, no, they probably won't fire you. But like,

that's just like another point and perspective to take is like wait am I being like overworked at my job because like even with Taylor with what you just said is when you were hanging around me when I was working it made you feel guilty for the fact that you were working so much yeah I was like I was like I need to find something to do yeah I was like I need to like find like in reality it's like no I didn't like I literally didn't I just needed to

cut some hours out of my day from work, you know? Like you were like, I literally need to wake up at 6 a.m., literally work nonstop until 10, work out, work nonstop until 5. Yeah. And I was like, God damn, who works a 6 to 5? Yeah. Like who works a 6 to 5 that's like not like for no reason? Yeah. Like, because again, I mean, we could say it a million times because I'd never want this taken away of like,

You're just like privileged and don't know that some people have to work. Like, like I'll say it a million times, not talking about having more hours to work because you're making ends meet with money. That is like, like it is working for the sake of work. Yeah. Because like,

That's all your life is. Just making that like, because too, it was my first job ever. I thought it was so fucking normal that I was working that much. I was like, Oh, this is what the normal human works. All these hours of the day is consumed by work. And I thought it was normal. And it really isn't, especially guys, anyone like going into like, like leaving college, graduating and like going into work somewhere, just be cautious of like how much they are working you because you will, um,

You will run out. You will get burnt out and you will end up hating the job. Right. Because that's exactly what happened to me. Yeah. Life is too short to like literally only have had your memories be work. And to just have like your whole entire life be your work. Like, I don't know. You need something else to like...

I do. You need something else to like feel. I'm really heated right now. I just need to say it. Guys, I just want to, like, I'm just going to say, I'm just going to support this out. But like, if you're looking to work for a coaching company, like personal training company, make sure it stays within like 30 to 50 clients. I had 110 clients on my roster, which is not fucking okay.

Not okay for the trainer itself, but also not okay for the clients because those clients get time taken away from their training and their avenue of getting to work one-on-one with the trainer. So just a little spirit right there because I know a lot of you guys listening are into fitness and may want to enter the personal training route. Sorry, it gets me really heated. Like this topic makes me like boil. Yeah.

Yeah, well, and it's because it's marketed just like we said. It's literally like girl boss mentality is huge hustle culture. Girl boss mentality is like hustle culture central. I'd say second in line. So first in line is gym bro influencer for most hustle culture. Second is girl boss. Yeah. Be careful of those gym bros girls because...

If you're new into your fitness journey and you are still trying to learn like the avenue of like macros, tracking, hitting the gym and like maybe you're in like a couple relationship or whatever or you're just talking to a guy or constantly around him and he's toxic as fuck with like the whole macros. I got to hit my macros. You're like got to get to my lifts like can't socialize until my lifts done like all that type of shit.

It's going to like kind of spur you into thinking like that's like the way you need to be doing all of it. And this is what they do, guys. This is what they do. We're just like taking a tangent. This is this is now why we hate gym bros. This is the podcast. No, I'm kidding. But a little bit. They're like, I am on. Oh, I'm eating nothing but straight raw liver. And then the next day they're like, guys, never mind.

I now eat more food, but no carbs. No carbs. Zero carbs. But I eat, like, everything else. And then, but then they're like, nah, actually, I'm gonna do, like, this is how I cook my food. I do just salt and pepper. Right on the grill. Like, what's your favorite food? Beef. Like, you weirdo. What's your favorite food? Fucking beef. Like, what? Ew.

yeah gym boys great like that's your favorite food and like raw beef yeah that's your favorite no stop the worst too right now we're completely ranting off topic but the worst now with gym bros and like the guy influencers is promoting all of those like horrible like supplements like turkestone whatever the fuck it's called it's like turkey something what is it called

The one that like all the gym bros, like it's like a pill. They're like, oh, like this natural anabolic is like the reason I have all my gains. Like you guys need to get your hands on it. Use code. It's not the natural anabolic way. It's the real anabolic that you shot up in you. Yeah, I know. Shot up your fucking ass.

Oh, God. But no, seriously, like, gym bros are way more toxic than you think. It genuinely is. You know, I feel like, okay, you know how in the beginning we talk about something unrelated? Yeah. Okay, so we did that. We did the big chunk in the middle. Now we're in, like, an outro. An outro of the gym bros. So the beginning and the end, totally unrelated. I would love to have a gym bro on our podcast. And rip him? No. No.

But just kind of talk with them how toxic the fitness like the guy fitness community is I'm gonna really give you my so guys slide into the podcast dms and like suggest someone that we need to As like this is what I want to do I want to sit down with someone to really give me your my fitness pal and look at it really breakfast like

10 ounces of red meat lunch like more 10 ounces of red meat and guys we're really not making any of this up the amount of like i'm gym bro guys we've hung out with and we're like what the fuck like it's just so post it they post it on the internet guys you can go look at the receipts click through some story highlights like i'm not exaggerating some of our guy friends i eat more than

Like, I'll be like, how much calories are you eating right now? And I'm like, oh my god, I'm eating like 300 more than that. When we went to LA. Oh my god, when we were in our bulk, we were eating literally like 600, 700 calories more than them. Guys, these guys, these men, six foot, straight lean mass, like straight muscle, like,

working out every day. They're like, I'm on 1300 calories. What? Yeah. I'm eating keto. They're like, I'm on 1300 calories with a 260 protein. And I'm eating six scoops of protein powder a day.

Sorry, guys. I'm really being mean about like some of my actual guy friends right now. If you guys are listening, don't worry. I love you guys. Okay. It's not the people. It's that. It's the mentality. The girl fitness industry, I feel like already went through the whole like.

the body positivity thing and the toxic diet culture, I feel like people really force on like the women's act. Like they think it's a women's thing. Yeah. And it goes very overlooked with the dudes. So I don't think it's more so that they mean it. Yeah. I just think that they've just been taught like protein, protein, protein, like be, and they don't, and no one really calls out the fact that it's really terrible. Yeah. Like they, they eat literally like

I was going to say protein and rice, but... Which I feel like in a way too, like the guys could totally call themselves out because like call each other out about it. But for some reason they just don't. Whereas like on the girls end, calling each other out is just like a cat fight. Like you're automatically a bitch if you call another girl out about like anything. That's true. But the guy like... The guys like literally like they like don't even eat like... It's like some of them just like don't eat like vegetables. Yeah.

They're like, I drink my greens powder because I don't eat any vegetables ever. I'm like, can you take a shit in the morning? Are you okay? Right? What does it feel like down there in the morning? It's crazy. Guy, Jim, and Rose are literally insane. It's a different breed. Good people.

No, definitely good people. But, like, damn, man. Y'all need to... If I could do one thing aside. So, like, our audience, we've helped the girls out. If I could do one thing with the male end of fitness. We had Patty on, and he was, like, okay. Like, he was talking about, like, the, like, supplement. Not the supplement. Oh, my God. Like, the...

The steroids? Steroid use. I was trying to look for the word again. See, but they kind of talked about the steroid use. I'm talking diet. No, yeah. They haven't really gone into diet. Yeah. They need to dive into that. We'll bring Patty on part two. We need to coach Patty. Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. Like, we'll literally like sit here with Patty right now and be like,

My guy. Get it together. You need to be the leader in this men's side of the fitness community and get it right. Guys will literally post like this. And imagine a girl posting like this and think about the backlash. Okay. A guy will literally post like,

the day before pizza donuts right the classic like food and the next day he'll be like on a zero fasting for three days today and doing like cardio every day like fasting for three days this week we are not joking when we say that this actually happens this happened okay yes this is like what's posted on the internet yeah like literally being like big cheat meal last night so i'm fasting for three days are you fucking kidding me

I can't even fast for like two hours. Can you imagine? Like, I just feel like if a girl posted that. Yeah. Oh my God. I would, I don't even know what would happen if I posted that I had a cheat meal. So now I'm not eating for three days. Yeah. Not bad. I don't even know what happened. I mean, I would never do that. I would. As we talk about this too, I'm starving. Yeah, I need dinner. But that was like two episodes.

Yeah, it really was. No, but I would really love to have a guy on here to talk about, like, that stuff. Like, hey, do you realize, like, the toxicity of, like, what the fitness end on the men's side, like, is really like? And then we can, like, talk with them about, like, the girls' side and be like, this is what's been an issue on the girls' side. But, like, on the boys' side, like, you guys don't really, like, talk about or bring any of this to light because it's bad. Because, like...

hot take i think that the body image side of the male industry might be worse yeah we talked about that with patty too yeah i mean i'm not gonna say maybe worse but it might be very similar not like in in like society but in like the gym yeah gym specific i think that i think the guy side is worse i think i feel like girls in the gym are so uplifting yeah and guys are just like

You mirror him, bro? No, I was going to say, I was going to say, got a guy, yes. Like, got a guy is always like, yeah, you mirror him or like, I'm bigger than you. That's what I'm saying. Girl to girl, like, my chest is better. That's what I'm saying. Like, the girls as one whole and the guys as one whole. Like, girl to girl, like, girls are uplifting and like, they would never be like...

Yeah. Like, like calling each other out. Whereas guys, it's like, well, like I'm Natty. Like, like they're so like, I feel like more like compare competing against each other. No. Yeah. I totally agree with that. So I think in the gym, the guys are actually more toxic. Yeah. Hot chick. The tea, the tea, the tea, the tea. We love it. But yeah, anyways, um, that was, I hope you enjoyed this. Yeah. That was, this was all over the place. I'm like, I feel like all over the place.

We didn't even like really have like a point to point for this. We were like, we're gonna talk about the house culture thing. And then it just flowed into this. Not sure how it even started, to be honest, but it's okay. Yeah. Sorry, raw meat bros, but actually not sorry. Yeah. Eat like broccoli. Yeah. Eat a broccoli. Eat some broccoli.
