This week, I’m talking to the incredible food writer and cookbook author Julia Turshen. Julia and I cover a lot of what you might expect in an interview with a popular food writer, but it was the not-food talk that really made this episode one of my favorites.
Julia and I discuss how she knew she was ready to write her own cookbook (after co-authoring almost a dozen books), the importance of asking for what you want and being credited for your work, one of the most important rules in her marriage (her wife is Grace Bonney), and how being an active listener is an important first step in creating change.
