Portlock, Alaska, once a thriving town, became a ghost town due to mysterious disappearances and violent deaths attributed to a creature known as the Nantina.
  • Portlock was founded in 1787 and became a major fishing hub by 1921.
  • From the 1930s to 1950, residents mysteriously disappeared or were found dead and mutilated.
  • The Nantina, a half-man, half-beast creature, was blamed for the attacks.
  • The town was abandoned overnight in 1949 due to the unexplained dangers.
