Background:

The voice of our country has spoken loudly and passionately about the plight of young Black Men. The national conversation has included town hall meetings, legal debates, political arguments, academic assessments, petitions, protest, calls for boycotts and more. Young Black men between the ages of 18 — 28 have found themselves in the center of this controversy, but their voices are not being heard. We want them to tell us how they feel and what they need to overcome the odds they face in our society. Their conversations must be heard . . .

Organization:

"Empowering young people to live better lives" is the motto of the Community Council of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (CCMA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2008. These words are more than an ambitious motto, they represent a mandate to serve the underserved, the disadvantaged, and the disenfranchised, with focus on at-risk youth and young Black males.
