上汉字课的时候，老师一边说一边在黑板上写了一个“宀”，告诉大家，“宀”在汉字中是“房屋”的意思。然后，他又在下面写了个“女”字，问大家：“屋子里有个女人，会怎么样？”

一个学生回答：“麻烦！”

大家都笑了。

老师微笑着说：“如果房子里有个女人，就会平安。所以汉字的‘安’字就是‘宀’下边加一个‘女’字。”

“一边……一边……” is a correlative adverb, usually used before verbs to indicate two actions happen together.

The teacher wrote a“宀” on the blackboard while he was speaking.
（1）同学们一边唱歌一边跳舞，都很高兴。
（2）他一边想一边回答问题。

然后
then

“A，然后B”中“然后”，连词。表示一件事情之后接着发生另一件事情。
“然后” in “A，然后B” is a conjunction with the meaning of“ then, afterwards”, normally used to indicate an event that occurs after another.
然后，她又在下面写了个“女”字。
Then, she wrote a“女”under it.
（1）星期天上午我洗了衣服，然后跟朋友一起去看电影。
（2）他每天早晨起床后，先去操场跑步，然后吃早饭。

如果……就……
if…then…

“如果”，表示假设。“就”，引出结果。“如果……就……”连接两个小句。
“如果” indicates an assumption. “就” introduces certain results or consequences. “如果……就……” is used to connect two clauses.
如果房子里有个女人，就会平安。
If there is a woman in the house, it will be safe and sound.
（1）如果明天下雨，我们就不去公园了。
（2）如果有很多钱，我就买汽车。
