The New York Jets are focused on clearing out salary cap space as the NFL offseason is set to open in less than one week. The team moved on from veteran tight end CJ Uzomah, clearing out more than $5 million in cap space by releasing him. Uzomah was signed two years ago but struggled to carve out a role with the team. A fairly large salary was difficult to justify for a part-time role player. Now the Jets head into the offseason with a bit more salary cap space.
