The BYU Cougars have commenced with formal game week preparations as they ready themselves to open the 2024 season against the Southern Illnois Salukis Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium on the campus of Brigham Young University (BYU) and Jake Hatch says that Kalani Sitake and the BYU football program need to ignore everything other than getting a win this week.

Jake then took a moment to examine the latest round of Big 12 expansion rumors as the UConn Huskies have received renewed interest from the Big 12 Conference and Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark and the timing makes Jake think it's near-inevitable that it will happen, but he also says no need to stop there and go for broke by adding ACC schools to make a super conference.

Finally, the show wrapped up with a look at the weekend for former BYU football players in the NFL with Jaren Hall and Zach Wilson showing out for the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos, respectively, while New Orleans Saints wide receiver Samson Nacua thrilled as he hopes to recreate the magic his brother, Puka Nacua, has last year for the Los Angeles Rams.
