We are beginning to hear the war drums more clearly in our body. The Lord is calling us up as officers in his army with our sight set on the nations. The task is noble, so it is fitting that the ignoble be removed from our own hearts so that the work remains pure and untainted. Brothers Justin Treaster, Paul Rosales, and Carlos Rueda encouraged us with this sermon entitled "Uprising" by helping us to examine our intentions. From purifying our intentions about why we want to become overseers, to why someone might not jump forward for enlistment, there was no soul left uncircumcised. Our motivation should be loving God will all that we are & loving our neighbor just the same. In the tension between the truth of what God has promised about us and to us, & the truth that we are not there yet, hope is what causes us to rise. There is an uprising taking place in the body of Christ & the catalyst is your hope in the Lord!
