Hello, Friends Scientists have calculated that the closest star to the earth, other than the sun, is Alpha Centauri. Even at the amazing speed of light, which travels 187,000 miles every second, it would still take over four years to travel the 24 trillion mile distance. When considering the enormity of this distance, it should be noted that scientist also say the average galaxy contains 200 million stars and there are an estimated 50 billion galaxies. The creation is immense beyond description and this sheer size was meant to communicate a message about God. This sermon deals with the complexity of the creation and the care of the Creator. His eye is truly on the Sparrow and how much more on you? Shalom, The LCMF Staff
