We conclude our reflections on the priest-making process with this sermon entitled "Measuring Peter and Paul's Deep Convictions". We've been talking about things like not fearing the razor, living in a joyfully willing manner towards the Lord. all so that we can show ourselves measuring up to the mature manhood of Christ! We want to be made into mature men in Christ & in the lives of Paul and Peter, we find the process by which Christ makes his followers into mature men. It's through pruning that priests are made. We see clearly Peter was willing to be pruned again and again and also how Paul's deep convictions were forged. Knowing what this pruning produces, we can joyfully engage in the process that is making us mature priests.
