The podcast revived an old tradition of sharing ghost stories during Christmastime, which was once a common practice before electricity. It aims to bring back the lost tradition of gathering around and sharing spooky tales.
The episode features a rendition of Charles Dickens' ghost story 'To Be Read at Dusk', which tells the tale of a woman haunted by a horrifying face she saw in her dreams.
Bonus episodes include topics like Missing 411, Cursed Paintings, Creepy Games, and the Dark and Morbid History of Nursery Rhymes.
The next episode will be an end-of-year reflection, sharing data on the show and its listeners, and recommending darkly curious documentaries and movies.
The story takes place in Aspen, Colorado, at the top of a mountain where resort workers and a woman experience strange occurrences.
The woman saw a face of a man dressed in all black, with black hair and a neat gray beard, who appeared reserved and secretive in her dreams.
When she saw the man, Philip D'Lambra, at a dinner party, she fainted immediately, as his appearance matched the face from her dreams.
The statue was of a young woman, and the artist's name engraved on it was 'Delambre', which was the same name as the man who haunted the woman's dreams.
In the wine cellar, a painting was discovered of a man dressed in all black with a reserved and secretive air, which matched the description of the face from the woman's dreams.
Neither the woman nor Delambre were ever seen again after the night of the Hollywood party, and the last footage of Delambre showed him arriving but not leaving.
Enjoy this rendition of Charles Dickens' ghost story "To Be Read At Dusk", and happy holidays!
