Judge tosses Twitter suit over surveillance secrecy
A federal judge has dismissed Twitter's long-running lawsuit aimed at receiving a green light to provide users with a more detailed picture of U.S. government surveillance requests.
On Friday evening, U.S. District Court Judge Yvonne Rogers turned down the social media company's bid to reverse the FBI's classification of statistical reports Twitter wanted to release about demands it receives from U.S. authorities through National Security Letters and Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants.

The move is being made under the guise of the pandemic and an effort to protect American workers, many millions of whom now find themselves out of work, but it’s hard not to see something deeper and darker in the “America First” president’s motives.
