French phenom Victor Wemby Yama, who is viewed as the next great NBA player, is likely to miss the rest of the season due to a blood clot in his right shoulder. The Spurs made the announcement in a statement today saying that Wemby has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis. According to the Associated Press, the Spurs are under the impression that he will fully recover and Wemby will start treatment immediately. Spurs point guard Chris Paul addressed the tough news today ahead of San Antonio's game against the Suns in Austin, Texas. More than anything, you know,

LinkedIn, the place to be, to be.

In other NBA news, Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis has been suspended 25 games for violating the league's anti-drug policy and will miss most of the remainder of the regular season. His representation said that Portis unintentionally took a pain medication that is not approved by the league, thinking he was taking a different approved medication.

The Bucs entered Thursday sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference, but they'll now be without one of the top bench players in the league. Heading over to the NFL, Cowboys offensive lineman Zach Martin is hanging up his helmet. According to multiple reports, Martin will retire after spending his entire 11-year career in Dallas. Martin has had an incredible career, spending his time in the NFL as a nine-time Pro Bowler and a seven-time All-Pro.

He was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and started 162 games while being named to the NFL's All-Decade Team from 2010 to 2020.
