A busy start to the work week in the NFL. On the first day that unrestricted free agents can negotiate contracts ahead of tomorrow's official start to the 2025 NFL calendar, two NFL teams secured new starting quarterbacks. The Seattle Seahawks, who had traded quarterback Geno Smith last week to the Las Vegas Raiders, agreed to sign quarterback Sam Darnold, who in his only season in Minnesota won more games than any Vikings starting quarterback before. Darnold will sign a three-year deal with the Seahawks worth $100.5 million. Quarterbacks

Quarterback Justin Fields is leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers to become the starting quarterback of the New York Jets, a two-year contract for Fields worth $40 million. Former Jets QB Zach Wilson signing with the Dolphins. The Eagles are trading quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Browns.

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament starts one week from tonight. Last night, two schools punched their tickets to the big dance. Wofford and Troy won conference championship games to make the NCAAs. Four more schools will get into the tournament tonight. The CAA Final between Delaware and UNC Wilmington. Northeast Conference Final between Central Connecticut and St. Francis of PA. The Horizon League Championship Game pits Robert Morris against Youngstown State.

West Coast Conference Final between 19th-ranked St. Mary's and Gonzaga. NBA, one night after the Western Conference-leading Thunder beat the Nuggets in Oklahoma City. Denver won at OKC, 140-127.
