We’re back and two thirds of the podcast is ready for the baseball season to be over. Dallas is super jealous about Aaron Judge wanting to sign with the Red Sox after he basically begged to come to Boston in a postgame interview. Jared is considering leg-lengthening surgery which Dallas is also jealous about. Alek Manoah got into it with some dude on Twitter who thinks fat guys in baseball are ruining the game which resulted in said dude deleting his account. The Angels have clinched yet another losing record and we’re talking about how having two of the best players ever doesn’t make you a good baseball team if you have no one else. The Mets got swept by the Cubs which was a big missed opportunity by the Braves to gain some ground, although Joey doesn’t see it that way. With the new rule changes we’re talking about if teams currently out of playoff contention should stop shifting to prepare themselves for next year. We also dive into how the pitch clock might disrupt the rhythm of pitchers and hitters. Joey points out all the rule changes Rob Manfred has implemented in his time as commissioner compared to the number of rule changes in MLB history. Zach Plesac was dropped by his agency after breaking his thumb while “aggressively” taking off his shirt and we’re trying to figure out how someone can take off their shirt aggressively. We’re also celebrating Roberto Clemete day and floating some ideas on how we can grow the game of baseball. Enjoy!
