Hello, and welcome to the wa co. It's unplugged and our long discussion of activity in the financial markets around the world. Feature ing column is john c.
Deora and money manager Andrew. This conversation is casual and unrehearsed. Let's join john and Andrew now.
Jane deora and i'm horrow and here IT .
is it's november fifty election day twenty twenty four come to .
live from election headquarters in self florida yeah .
we're making IT up as .
we go along as we city right now. The IT looks like the markets of believing that there's real good opportunity for former president trump to be current president trump.
Thirty, I thinks you're kind of fall into place so far, at least when I can tell .
watching cbs ever since the a sason ation attempt, things have gotten good for him.
Yeah.
that was a as crazy sounds. That was a good thing for first campaign, probably no. So well, a lot things happen with the markets today before the election results even were closed by kicking IT off and looking like bitcoin was up and the stocks were related to trump or up the stocks that were related to Harris.
We're down things like of the G O. Group, which is A A prison facility. IT was up six percent, just up.
That was up good. Yeah, all these things are up. So what .
would what stocks would be related to .
Harris solar light?
Never mind the fortune .
five hundred? IT was down. Ah right very much exactly. Anybody that has had a significant amount of money would be kicking and screaming, but IT also looks like from here right now, again, we're early in this in this game. I'm going to start sounding like they do on CNN or fox, but we're early in the game. The fact is that IT does look like republicans are onna take control of the congress as well now that that's a very interesting situation because they are they .
may take the senate, but it's not going to be a supermajority. It's not going to be sixty votes, but it's still meaningless.
I would hope not because markets apology, Better economy. You know, I I don't think is the best thing in the world to start alleviating taxes on everybody. That that plan sounds nice, but I just doesn't know alleviating tax on overtime, on tips, on a pick, all the different things that were supposedly going to not tax people on on the what else we have with this going into this right now, the yields of the highest in month to have the fed decision, which is tomorrow, which is interesting, that's coming on the heels of the election and the fed a lot to ponder because what's happened or less.
I would say.
three months since they decided to go on a rate cutting maneuvering cycle.
Yeah, I think you're gonna continue on that.
They will be a lot slower. Clearly, the P, C, E was elevated. We'll talk a little bit about tonight the employment numbers from last week, which were surprising in summer regards.
But actually you're digg into him. They tell a much different story um and manufacturing slows down. Consumers confidence is up a bit. Uh so there's a lot of mixed picture in there, but the fed is probably expected at least, which would probably, I would say if in fact, the futures are up right now about three hundred points on the double Jones industrial here at nine o'clock on election night on the east coast. You would think that, that would kind of pacify things and markets will be happy if in fact, trump does, there's win and and the fed won't doing .
things to stop IT.
We get at six thousand on the, on the sp soon. How would be amazing?
yeah.
And this is a for rent is twenty twenty and twenty twenty two. The years in between have been spectacular. Like IT.
yeah i'm not going argue against talking .
about something. The things were gonna hit on tonight drones. The question I have will they deliver a little hinton there?
October ends on the download. We did have kind of louy. October didn't IT wasn't IT wasn't as he was an awful for U.
S. dogs. U. S. Large cap did OK. There was a couple of the pockets did okay in the us.
But then foreign cks and interpositions, because yours were coming up. That's what I was mentioning. We we have yields the highest we've .
seen .
in in a while were four point three six today on the ten year IT was three point six about within two months. Within the last sixty days, we saw three point six percent ever since the fed actually reduced great little bit on the rise. And we ve talked about that a few times.
Yes, we actually talked about a quite a bit last show.
So what else we have a optimism or hysteria, a of the final election results. Lot of maybe in there. We're hoping that we will have the final election results by the end of today. A lot of people's thinking, you know, or not, it's may take weeks to sort this out, but is that the body everything .
seems to hint jn pensylvania ia pensylvanicum themselves. The secretary stay, I think, said they can get the results done by tonight. So forget IT how .
many electoral votes they have.
nineteen.
So if you will buy twenty five, who cares, right?
Is that going to happen? You think it's going to really pensylvania as the key?
You think it's going be that tight this race?
Well, I mean, if you obviously of with concern and illinois, go to trump and one of those other states, because IT looks like you take all the other southern states, then IT won't be IT will not be .
a big deal .
but everyone is convinced that trump can't win michigan.
I think they projected that. I remember that.
and I think he had took me. He could easily lose north, sorry to say. I don't know why that would be this time.
They should just sweep all these states. That seems to me. But now let's see what else we have .
oil on the move again, we have middle. These tensions are are picking up again and this results for earnings on the last couple of weeks. But still, I can tell you when you look at the earnings, know those those uber balls that I could tell how great earnings were in seventy eight percent of the companies that IT reported beat, but seventy percent always beat.
It's the number seventy five, seventy seven around there. And we know why this is. It's very simple.
The companies feed the information to the analyst. The analysts like, okay, thanks for the information. So you're same.
We're going to do like three cents of share, three cents share. We think what do three cents share. But you know we trying to be conservative with that.
You may maybe you know but three or four that's about IT i'm going to do I can pick number two million dollars of revenue. okay. And what happens a two weeks later, eight cents is our earnings number and five billion of revenue. It's a student this game IT is so stupid, the game. But but the analysts keep going, you know why?
Because they want to keep their jobs .
yeah and I .
want to be you starkey and cynical. But let's be honest, you know between the economists who get IT wrong and just then change their numbers to meet with the reality is so they're closer to consensus in reality. And the and the analysts, or as I call them, the analysts who have the job of just trying to discern what the numbers are and just again, keep IT with inking senses and wear about the company tells you things are going .
to be how much analysis goes into call in someone on the phone and hasn't then tell you these numbers.
Not much more, but it's more like dinners and things like that. It's more like favors. And you'll talk to this guy, not that guy. And you know, how do some of these guys get to be like the how do something like the best?
Don't see these guys sit there with that with a Green visor and a slide rule and going on every number going from factory to factory to check out what's going on at the plant, talking to people on the floor no, they call some guy up and he tells him and that and they they just repeat IT yeah .
there's a lot of that going on. And I think some of IT is to a degree is um there are teams behind the scenes that cunt the numbers, but the numbers have to come from somewhere channel check sometimes. But you know a publicly traded company, while they have to provide the information, that doesn't mean they have to provide IT whenever they're asks asked to do so.
They have to provided a quarter update or whatever the particular update is. And everybody has an information at the same time at that point, especially because years ago, analysts and insiders got information way before anybody else did. And they stop that.
They stop that. yes. yeah. When the information comes out, everybody needs to know what is material. Non public information is made public, then what's gonna en is everybody needs to some you whatever was what the transparency act, whatever was is going to require them to tell everybody. That's why for a long time there's big fighting.
Like is IT okay to release material information on on a platform like a social media atom? Not everybody's looking at that. That's not the channel back win in a number years ago now.
Now everybody looks at that. So it's it's kind of a state of practice, but people got in trouble years ago for that. You know, it's like, great, that was not a china. We should release that kind of information. And now you're, uh, in contract in conflict with c rules.
right?
All a couple of things. What is what is warm buffet in berkshire know? They seem to be a massive a lot of cash and there was a big dow Jones industrial average announcement that was but over the weekend, as main effect may be, maybe have to close on friday.
We tell you now you want to wait, please. Yeah, what does I ask your question? Two choices. You say, yeah.
do I know what I think you said? Do you, anna, wait.
or do you want I said you want to know now. Do you?
Anna, wait, I want to know now .
intel has been removed from the dow .
Jones industrial .
average and replace with else in video.
That's a humiliation.
Ah yeah IT seems that .
they no longer represent.
Here's the interesting thing.
That's the probably the biggest humiliation they've .
had to face yep, and it's almost like the cold kid for the longest time that was invited to all the parties is now replaced by the Young and cool kid that now everybody wants to invite their parties and emulate. That's in video.
That was interesting about this is that you know, essentially right now, a the way that the now jone's industrial average is set up about one point move for any stuck any stock in the deal jone industrial average one point move is about a seven point move for the down Jones industrial um average. So if if intel moves one dollar, that's seven dollars. Got that yeah that's about a five percent move, four percent move for intel.
If in video is gone to move one dollar, that's about point seven percent. Move in video is going to be six times more heavy, if you will, with the actual dw Jones industrial average Price because the sensitivity to in videos Price is much greater because is one hundred thirty nine dollars for in video, where intel about twenty six. So what does that mean? That means a lot more volatile.
They'll just a more common deviser because the calculation needs be done to a to when they put one in and take one out. They do these updates. So pretty cool though, right? Look right now, quick update. Trump is up proposal one hundred and sixty two. Thirty is got .
the whole .
midwest right now.
Yeah, when the midwest comes in pretty easily. And do IT just, you don't have so much, you know, big cities, you know, these things that can complicate matters.
features of four hundred points on the dell.
Yeah, well, I think there are, you know, well, the betting odds, uh, uh, I was looking at the betting odds is sixty percent in favor of trump. And so he's the favorite. The underdog is Harris, and the underdog is only one once in the last I think it's fifteen elections are going to these guys who do this stuff uh, and the underdogs only one once in last fifteen elections and the only time that and that was trump in twenty years sixteen. So it's looking good if you wanna go buy all these these kind of indicators.
You know the truth this, i'm in favor of so many things because a lot of these things that trump is do is going to benefit me, is going to be fit. Everybody listens to us. There's a lot of benefit. That concern I have is a long term problems that is, gonna create the lack of revenue, the excessive amount of debt.
the deficit. The dead issue, which neither candidate decided to talk about, of course, is neither one right. And they're and they are both big spenders. And would that second to change whoever gets selected? And the only difference might be trump probably, i'm guessing at least the way I see IT, based on his past performances, should build to end these two wars.
That would be interesting. You think you'll do before let me this is going to be, if he's elected, is going to do be will the war stopped before he actually gets into office?
I don't know if he can stop to want to israel before he gets into office, but I think the one ukrainy can make a dent in IT.
I would think so we would help would .
be within six months of him getting in these two wars should be over at, and that would be a money savor.
Yeah, billions, billions of sending stuff over the ukraine. billions. Free bees.
Not, not even like a, hey, i'll pay us back one day, right? It's here. IT is his tanks.
What do you need to give? Give list on a personal note real quick, because I know you like these stories. Chilly competition.
This weekend, I have .
entered IT and I will be competing.
Yeah, watch is the previous winner.
I've one twice. So i've decided that how many .
people are involved in this competition .
ah the last one was as a general appetizer and all that I want with the chili that was like twenty that's good. And the last truly competition, what what you eleven, totally different, totally different. I've decided that i've want you .
you going to go back to the well with with the winning recipe.
No, no, I fired because one, it's one. Do something different.
Let's see how good you might to reveal your recipe put published on the h employees.
I'll give you my recipe in IT for the for the um for the one is one is sure it's one second place, first place, first place in three different entries.
Now I had to I want two chilly competitions. I had a lot .
of people.
Did you yeah come texture to have an annual chili cook off competition? I won twice.
And where's your recipe .
is published to your nair? Search for the device, three being chilly. I have been much chili. And then they keep changing the rules. So I wasn't to build a win, so I stop entering. But the the, if you look at the or three being chilly, you find the recipe online is somewhere.
well, this new one is going to be a korean inspired chili. And instead of, instead of beans that has emma in there. IT has watch and .
omi the .
soy beans. Are they gonna be shocked?
Yeah, shocked.
What mean is little down this recipe yet?
It's delicious. Little different. Yeah.
I would .
think IT has go to a johna.
Kim chi, I also for kim chain. You know there is a guy out here or one there's one burrito plays out in same as cisco. I can't member ethically age and age or something like that. I can't remember their name .
exactly or .
DNA and they make a kim cheap .
burrito oh yeah.
And that IT works so well. If you think about IT, of course, mexican, native mexicans and korean is all come from the same back. I think there's a connection because of the american indian tribe, but it's such a tremendous combination when you have IT is like, wow, why does IT? I'm surprised more people don't make this burrito .
is a killer and I made my own kim SHE is for matting right now and I came SHE and an only .
and only you're making your own kim chee.
Yep, if you follow me over on instagram, dad, bad food blog, the the the view of my kim chi making is in there .
does IT come out Sparkling, Sparkling.
What does that even mean?
There's a couple of kim chee makers out here, and when they put the from and kim chi in a jar and seal IT for a while, the jar source expand that's .
what happening.
And then you eat when the when you first released the kim sheet, it's literally taste like pop rocks is Sparkling .
yeah ah IT does have that fermentation, that bubble going on yeah .
carbon yeah so .
that's it's not there. I only left IT out in room temperature for two days instead, like four, and in the fridge sealed. So I got bad plus, so the webs goes this grill quickly. There's two different .
competitions. One is the favor .
of the show, goes off rail. Here's the set up. Uh, a little bit of A, A little bit of a shock grain of rice in a ball top to, uh underneath the undercard to be A A napper cobain, then a kim chi on one side of IT and the the chilly on top topped with a fried colleague and korean pep flicks.
What is west korean pepper free?
That's what do you make? The kim, you have its korean pepper.
that stuff that right?
Yes, they go. That's right. Let's move along the employment situation.
This was a big thing. Actually, I think you'd be interesting. This, the A, D, P numbers came out last week.
This, the private payroll that comes out on the wednesday prior to the actual payroll on a friday, and said companies hired two hundred and thirty three new workers in the month, Better than the update revised hundred and fifty nine thousand and september, and far ahead of the down Jones estimate for one hundred thirteen. So keep that number two, thirty three. There's a good number.
Five pairs. wow. Economies doing well. Then all of the sudden that of nowhere. We get the friday numbers right friday, the official classic. B, S, not as non farm payroll were up just twelve in october.
Now anybody anybody who thinks that the government, you don't hear this, oh, I guess it's not rid. Oh, I guess they are not controlling the information because if they were, where who was in office shall have had some knockout number, right? This is a terrible number.
But no, nobody goes back and says, you know, I guess this stuff is not really released that way. And I was wrong to suspect as a conspiracy, no, never happened. But on the less, we're seeing that the non fom pairs were up just twelve thousand in october. Most thousand, about one hundred twenty years old. Nonfarm private paros decreased by twenty eight thousand.
Yeah.
so we have a negative now. The unemployment rate stood at four point one percent. No change of that at all.
And what was interesting was if we look at that, we say this really pretty terrible um but what we had was two, three, three things, three, two major things. What was two two hurricanes will and Helen and the balling strike. So there was .
a .
lot of concern about the fact that these numbers are terrible, but I think I made to say that I would go with the temporary just for a moment. I would go for the idea that these numbers were bad, but I would not really be too excited about IT and too worried about IT. We also have the revisions to last months down about one hundred twelve thousand. So that, that adds to the problem. But I still think but I I still think let's just wait another monter.
So so we're seeing other things .
that are good like U S G D P, G D P. The gross domestic product came in a two point eight percent annualized in the third quarter. IT was below the three point one estimate. But listen, that is a so far away from recession.
not even cost recession, we saw .
consumer spending. The federal government outlets were two of the bigger contributors to GDP grows. So the government still spending all sorts of money and essentially stimulating and is now what happens when the government is put the money towards something stimulating economy.
right? Yeah, it's a stimulating the economy and stimulating inflation, correct?
right?
But he has an effect in .
itself of stimulating the economy because people freak out and have the buy before IT goes up.
Yeah, that's the two issues, right? People when there's inflation going on, people are going to buy. They don't want Price go up. Let's get IT now is get a lot of IT now. The other problem is, uh, deflation. When Price start going down, people say, hey, wait minute, slow down when not buying back out because Price are onna go down in the future?
Yeah self a filling profit.
I will tell you as you look at rail card counts, the four lordie international boat show was last weekend, IT, bringing about one point five billion dollars year to this area. So show, yep.
it's been over a billion.
used to be eight hundred million. I saw the numbers this year was a billion and change billion half. I think what interesting is that's like having a super bowl in your backyard every single year. That's how good to is. Just like olympics.
you go down and visit IT.
I assume I did because my son had a boat, the show for a client. So is the dad. You get to come on like, OK, I wanna go.
I was a boats for sale.
right? Yes, he's he's selling a boat. He's brokering .
IT beautiful boat was a brand new boat.
and he built this. This is a use boat. IT is a duck craft. Fifty eight, four, two million dollars, fifty eight food. Yeah.
that's a good size.
but is in a stink pot, as in a non cell boat. Ah, yes, IT is .
okay .
for .
those. No, no, no. A sale would only person calling a boat distinct. T that would be one that has more.
Yeah, I learned to sale at one point, and this would take .
call they did. Let's talk about some earnings palen teer, a stock that we put on the game for some time ago and kicked off back to back courters, delivering beats on the top and bottom lines and q three and forecasts that upbeat q for revenues yeah how um we own this for clients full disclosure I own at myself full disclosure pounds your top line continue to accelerate, advancing about thirty percent year over a year. This is the company.
There's a lot of business with governments, uh, a lot of the stuff they do, a secretive, they have A I, they have called spying kind of collection of information availability. A U. S. government. Revenue has been rapping in the rest recent quarters.
Wever q three, the segment took a giant to four growing revenues, forty percent year of a year, fifteen percent secreted sequences to three hundred and twenty million dollars, which is a seven fold increased compared to the prior year. The best growth rate in less fifteen quarters stock is up twenty four percent today. All time high, all time high. That's gna rock. Yeah very so I also did very well um fifty four hundred .
those examples by the way, that if you looked at the insider trading, Peter till was getting out of IT and .
he's a big he had a big vision there and .
he was getting out of IT and but IT was one of those situation. But you just tell you was taking money off the table because IT was enough impetus. These guys who take out a large amounts of like you five hundred millions in these big amounts, they can do IT if if the stock is in a situation where could tumble. So you can they? They always do IT against strength.
right? Like jeff bizos, we sell in to the two hundred and mark today of amazon. So two hundred million dollars worth held the stock because couple couldn't climate morning, but is one in what's going on on why is this? Where's the ceiling on this? Why is every time I get there, there's a big seller? Guess who?
Yeah yeah he get yeah using the strength to get out. He wants to money for some mills .
AMD earnings just not good enough. He reported third quarter results last tuesday night after the close after we were on the air earnings in line with forecasts, revenue is slightly beat expectations. Bd, he is how the company actually did compared to estimates, did ninety two cent adjusted versus ninety two percent expected. That is not gonna cut .
IT in a wow, that's no good.
It's not gone. go. No, no. Which means they actually missed.
Do you think about IT? I missed by hitting IT.
Yeah, right. right. Revenue was actually up six point eight billion for six point seven, but they said it's their data set of business double in cells the second quarter row.
But overall revenue guides in the fourth quarter was in line. Everybody needs these stocks need to be wee ahead. There is no margin of error. The Price to be big beaters, big winners. And if they're just if their closest .
is not good stock down, especially for these guys because they're right up against .
the video without the same product. You know, I M D, is are hopeful.
yes, but my people that I my people, the people I know that are in the business of A I tell me that yeah AMD product is not the same as in videos, but that you but you can put together a system that does the same thing is just a little more complicated, but it's a lot cheaper.
But I think AMD has the same infrastructure business of helping their customers build and create and then expand.
I yes.
I know the whole other side of the business that goes along with the creation tools when I mean by the Crystals of helping people build systems and and programs and versus just making their computers work and video has that built in pretty well. By the way, this is a good time to mention. We're going to about amazon earnings for earnings.
But before we do, we're going to go about our earnings is the time when we talk about donations to the show and mentioned we have a lot of things to go on here. And you know, i'm overhead. So it's very nice if you help along with us for us giving you this information and providing you all things we do on a weekly basis.
Go over the dh, unplug that com. You can donate at, well, you can actually, do you do, john? You know this, of course, but people may not know.
You can actually set up your donation to be automated. Did you know that? Yeah, you just say, you know, I want to give twenty two dollars and fifty two cents a week.
I don't know why you could do that number, but whatever is um you know you could do that one time as well. Make IT really easier er and yourself is very easy process. Your help is very much appreciated.
Thank everything in one of you. They don't IT. So thank you so much for your help here.
Keep IT going. amazon.
Amazon earnings could have been the best of the bunch. When you look at the earnings of all the players that came out, whether microsoft, google or even facebook and all these companies, amazon was pretty darn good. They're doing a great job with advertising.
If you don't know what that is, just look, every time you looked something up, what pops up first is the thing that's being sponsored. And for some reason, you buy that anyway until look posted. So you're clink on IT. You're looking at IT and the people, the the the the marketers selling IT or .
in fact.
making money on that and amazon's making money too.
I would recommend when people buy their stuff is stuff and amazon at least go to one mart and see what they what they have, right? Because my experience recently is that walmart has the same stuff that amazon does and it's generally cheaper.
Yeah, agree with that. I agree with that. The revenue increase the one percent in the quarter, topping one hundred fifty billion dollars earnings of one forty three vers one fourteen sales that amazon web service W S club business increased nineteen percent to two thousand seven and a half billion coming, just shove analysts estimates.
But again, the thinking about amazon, which is so cool, is that amazon not only has the A W S IT be like microsoft with. IT would be that would be mike with soft with a walmart front end. You don't mean no.
In other words, microsoft has mean.
Microsoft has assure all these products, products, all these things and all these platforms, but they don't have a retail outlet. Amazon has a whole retail alot yeah so they make your money from well.
that's why it's funny. They kind of after they developed the retail, at least when they spin off, they say wait in IT. We're pretty good at this.
That's that's make data product. Pretty good a warehouse. You know we can make data product also .
do that the add growth the growth of their ad business grow faster than google that they did eighteen point seven percent. Um they also forecast revenue in the current quarter between one hundred eighty one million and hundred eighty billion, which would represent seven to eleven percent growth on the year. Good stuff.
Amazon on popped pretty call. Ford on the other hand, your your favorite the by the way, i'm a small shareholder, afford for the just for the annoyance of IT. But um I hold ford.
It's it's not enough to do anything after the fact that I hold four to hold. Ford has IT moved. I don't think i'm really down on IT to be on but hasn't moved in two years.
Got get money what it's called.
It's not really like a tactic that I used to when I say small piece is small piece, and I just leave IT there. Ford, god, if can cause ever start moving? And I called IT, I called IT.
A like a marker starts a moving. I can notice very quickly, even though I would anyway, and I may want to pick up some, but it's got IT to low end of the previous amount. Two thousand twenty four earnings forecast as a slightly top wall streets.
Third quarter expectations now expects suggested earnings before interest and tax are able to total about ten billion, down from a range of ten to twelve billion. Ford third quarter units were LED by its pro commercial fleet business. Notice ford blue as opposed to ford plus.
Everything is plus.
They have ford blue.
We were mocking the plus on the no agenda show, which is every thursday and sunday. H, because I guess N P R has decided to do a bundle called N P R plus.
ridiculous. That's that's like, hey, you wanted to get some marketing to come with the new name. How much ten million dollars go plus here by its plus saves the money .
is not going to work anyway.
Yes, we're going to bankrupcy ert before we do that. I mention where we are right now, even though you'll hear this later in the if is all done futures up at five in the point now. On A B.
that means winning.
Yeah, hundred eight to sixty two.
Lot of those numbers don't mean anything.
They all come in. Bankers say, T, G, I, friday is closing you. Others up for you.
Yes, they are all over the country.
Bank of, see that is the way .
that be closing .
down ens .
at benches. We had we see the other we had all the chains out here. We still have big bear diner.
We still have that. And there's a couple of other ones that came in when we had this. My one of my favorites was was because we had staked ales out here. These are all broke, taken ales. We had those and we .
have mistaken fail.
And then we had my favorite, which was the coolest of the group, was Victoria station.
Oh yeah.
I remember that one good stuff. They put a bunch of box cars and some cobos, and you AA nose things sexy. I quite remarkable was a closing .
the french chase, worried that now this is, I think, a fascinating part. This is what I grab. This one of the biggest games going on, I think what not going on that is going on, it's not like something new. But the scheme out there is the idea that um these companies are earning money on these gift cards.
Well, give cards, can I people should not buy these .
things even of cool.
kind of cool. Well, well, for one thing is just tied up the money and if you lose the car, you're out of luck. That is a million.
Why they fire in the whole thing .
just and it's kind of a cool gift when you get when you I got a gift card and then you never use IT, so then IT expires and the money goes and that somebody also pocket. It's just a bad thing, bad thing.
I agree with you one hundred percent. I hate him. People given to me.
Mih, thank you. David. You know, I already give IT because I like like a hard potato.
I had, there was a while there. They were giving this ahead of gift card system, where you get these cards. IT was a VISA guard.
So use of her anything, anywhere. And but you could never get rid of all the money. There would be like a couple bucks in there. There's no way of spending and then is explored.
Ah, well, now the worried is forty nine million dollars worth of gift cards outstanding.
I can you know that this is, they do IT right course. That number is unbelievable .
for the fridays.
Yeah the whole gift .
card industry must be at your billions.
Billions now is really interesting about this is that some of the um franchise are concerned that is going to be a call back .
that the forty nine .
million outstanding. Interesting yeah and there should be .
I think so too right. Who sold those gift cards? IT wasn't nobody.
And not only that, they sold the gift cards without any product being returned. And they basically, where's the gift? The gift is to the company.
That's the gift. That's the gift. That's what to call the gift card.
It's not a gift card because i'm giving you a gift, john. It's gift card because i'm buying and giving the company a gift. It's going to be free piece. I would there were some number there was some absurdly large amount of gift cards that are never realized.
Yeah, got to be high.
Can we look this after what percentage of gift cards .
never used .
to see what happens? Okay, calling the bank group serve.
Oh, OK.
And they said two, three percent, but they say some in restaurants, oh, restaurants ten, fifteen percent.
With these guys have forty nine would mean they have fifty million cards outstanding. And just, just a turn alone would result in a good make millions.
At least half of customers receive gift cards, lose them before .
using them. Percent of gift .
cards go unused because the stories goes at a business just under eighty percent of give Carter ary deemed within one year the likelihood dempster creases over time. Fifty one percent gensec, fifty two percent Elleney als, forty three percent genetics .

we don't have text max. We have mexican real, the real d yeah .
that surprises .

Drones take amazon's tech division is getting F A approval for new delivery drones as IT begins testing in arizona, IT says to receive approval in the F, A, A to fly its newer, smaller delivery drones, including beyond the visual line.
is so they call in in .
arizona .

boeing. Some good news. There seems the union is on board and getting got a contract signed or they're y're all excited.
Thirty percent pay increase over a few years. Now boy is able to resume production. Key to his recovery is the bulk of its aircraft Price is paid when they are handed over the customers.
You know, the other this left out the art the story made me, keeps me up with this, because the local news and washing state keeps, keeps the stories alive. Twelve thousand dollars signing bonus.
Wow.
everybody gets twelve thousand books of they approved .
this contract but every .
per every every every union guy yeah that side in the story is IT.
That's a lot of money. A hundred, seven hundred and seventy thousand employees hey.
just tell me what they're reporting .
like IT one of its all about money. Everything is about money. Elections all about money. Everything about money returned to nation that nothing else matters besides money.
Well, and winters are show about .
no stand, but seems like there's nothing else left. I guess maybe .
they put Better television shows on that would help.
Maybe boy is not of the woods yet. But the stocks, you know, is done forty percent year to date. Do you know that I did a calculation? I think it's said I think the number is seven hundred or eight hundred points on the doll, just from boeing?
No, that's interesting.
And seven times so was done, forty percent was two fifty to one was he done? I see a bus stuck, is a stock one fifty IT was down, actually two point six five percent to is at this down one hundred points this year, hundred times seven, seven hundred points.
I had a short on boeing back in the day.
Know why I didn't work. That was a lap of all laf IT. seems. Ah it's gonna deluded.
Of course that doesn't help.
yeah. Twenty billion dollar share offering just recently because obviously, what if we multiply what's out here? Let me ask you.
Let's do hundred and seventy thousand dollars as people times twelve thousand, right? That would be a big number. Is that two billion ah. I zero, this okay thing here is there here. I think it's two billion .
dollars yeah well, getting a back to work, it's big company can afford IT just did .
a twenty million people offering. So that's good. Mentioned the one buffer, selling socks, socks cash on the rise, selling apple bank of amErica and an apple. Yes, an apple.
I didn't know that.
no. And here's something interesting is also not doing any buy backs of burker healthy. So that's telling you that if you if you commented this information looks to me that he thinks things are overvalue. Now he's not watching the futures tonight of five hundred points now on the doll. But his guys .
selling in the .
strength again, same thing. Um the cash is now three hundred and twenty five billion dollars. IT was two thousand seventeen .
billion and second quarter .
a lot of three twenty five billion. Why I can he just help out boeing.
He could buy him.
Let's see what the market cap of boeing is. Ha, twelve billion. He still got two hundred billion left. That you think there's something here by actually I be the .
kind of thing you bye those nightmares. Where would you buy a nightmare?
New four one k limit announced in a release friday, the age of increased the defero limits to twenty three thousand and five hundred from twenty three thousand and two twenty four to twenty two thousand twenty five is going to be twenty three thousand five hundred plus catch of provisions, things like that. But um I thought that is interesting across plans.
The average four one k to four o rate has been estimated to be about seven point four percent in two thousand twenty three, including employer contributions that combined savings rate was eleven point seven percent. I, I, I, I would like to put a plea to people. Come closer.
Listen, the poppy, Andrew here, put as much as you can into four one k plan. It's text doctor IT grows text ford, it's a good thing. So I could tell you that if you have twenty years until you reach the age of seventy three, when is the managing time that you need to start taking up in the distributions? Ah you know what? Get on IT. The compounding interest which einstein has called the eighth wonder of .
the world is is something .
that is really pretty starting how works and something that will you will be really happy about in the future. So get on putting as much money to work as you can. What else do we got here? What I know? Oh, this. Give me surprise. We have to do.
I think this will be the last one, I think, for the year until we do the dh unlock closer up in cup for the year, we're now seeing a new close to the pin, a stock that has gone vertical after pretty much on the edge of bankrupcy. It's a company that its competitions are all doing traditionary poorly. It's a number of this stock, you cannot believe, and it's a technology that is relatively, I would say, blended between old school in new tech to a degree. The company's name .
is carvin .
a .
no carvin a carvin.
A stock is at control, and we going to do be close to the pin on carvin a and C, L code. So make sure to go decision plugged and you have to be logged in to do so. I guess it's open right now. C, V, N, A is the symbol, and you go over there and put your Price, gets into, win a great t shirt, only of things that go along with that and be an entry into the close to the pink cup for the end of the year. Do we cover everything?
That sounds right.
Yeah of everything, we cover everything. One eighty five to eighty one. Still most of the country, the big I don't think like new york or california. The big ones who has the .
big ones just know those you going off, Harris and nobody y's flip in new york and california is not even close.
right? So but the barked all pointing towards, uh, trump when yeah .
so thank so you'd have to pretty good if you do. I don't know how they can get around .
IT IT is IT is that goes the naznai tic of one percent. Now just the nazi just start moving. One of what china is gonna. This can be interesting to see how china react to this hanging saying is down one point five percent.
No buying opportunity in china.
Well, the Harry did get for a month with three votes.
Yeah, well, he was going to get vermont anyway.
So CarOlina goes to trump and pretty significant trump favors. They called georgia too close to call at fifty two to forty seven is a two thousand eight thousand votes. Trumper edge out very, very, very slightly, like a few thousand votes. Virginia, the north CarOlina goes to trump, fifty two.
forty six. Actually, Virginia was the one that that was not expected to be in the top category.
Oh, how goes wrong?
Yeah well said that was expected. There's nothing so far that is unexpected.
I I don't think anything at all. But if it's if nothing is unexpected, this can be like it's going to tighten up, right?
Yeah, he needs a definitely flip a couple of the the short that be well, seemingly sure things of and I still looking at with concern and and michigan and I think he can take michigan.
And miss king was very tight less time .
was that I think he took IT .
with Hillary. No, let's get the next part. This is a game that we play.

When your stuff got kicked .
off you and a big one, I got a big name. You're kicked off finally.
Yeah, you're a shark. Na, still have. Yeah, that's that's too bad because of because you walked away to one hundred and eleven.
Now probably the best walk away. We've had the last in for ten years. Walk away with one eleven percent up.
I've got the U. S. Air space dictu moving higher since two thousand and twenty two. That about one of the longest positions on IT to .
be ever the game ever.
Still the ice years twenty plus treasury, by the way, is still being held was really interesting. Meaning, uh, rates are you know coming down from there. So that's pretty good.
Uh, southern energy of fifteen percent, your pure stories got kicked off up. what? Almost nine percent on the kick.
Yeah, they get smoked. That was insiders. But he had a big stop of the twenty five percent that was done, twenty two percent next era.
But one, but do nothing until finally getting in the Green. Finally AMD down. Six person, kicked conStellation engine. Surprisingly kicked down three .
years that happened.
Very surprisingly, kicked AMD on the short that I picked up eighteen percent.
Yeah, that was a good one. I was against IT.
Yes, you are new fortune to a point point eight. Planet fitness flat gabelle t does n't there and doesn't. I do not have anything i'm wanting for this whole saniez .
to be over and let's .
get Better stocks. Anything is closing?
No, not a thing.
I'll finish up with trust one ninety one now, Harris at eighty once. Still a lot of the areas not covered here hanging down one point six percent. Anyway, i'm telling this why it's going to be old news by time here this. But the point is to show the sequence of what's happening with regard to what people believe is going to be good for the mark. Bitcoin is seventy three thousand right now.
Why is bit going up in the market? Substance was a hedge.
The whole point of the bit, he said, is going to he likes bitcoin. He's got a bit coin platform.
He says he likes bitcoin too. So don't think that should make a difference.
Played open of the door, five, forty, trump, as though he did everything exactly kind of opposite of his last election, where but he was freaking out. Remember, don't forget what trump was I had last time. Futures were locked down last time.
Yeah well, i'm guessing market to be up eight hundred points.
Yeah, I would think it's all the side that you know it's just feed the fire. And if in fact is A A republican sweep that's going to be even Better for markets. And again, I think long term is a problem for the economy, but for the markets are going to like IT right now. So that's fine.
That's good let to run that. Will I be good for two years if that happens?
Right, will talk to right?
You've been listening .
in on a conversation with john sea to work, and Andrew horowitz hope to be with you again soon.
Goodbye, thank because i've got a little, but it's my last dollar. Yes, in my pockets, there's a thing all my do was nearly is spin, but I got a dollar and it's my last. Or I love just one more, but before you leave me a chance now here's a hint.
I feel like a fin. You can have them, but I don't can no lions, aire can give me the ice. Staff was I got a my less to be.
