41 new Railway Stations constructed in NE since 2014, says DoNER Minister - As many as 41 new railway stations were constructed on account of new lines construction in the north-eastern region (NER) since 2014, said DoNER Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. The minister informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that during 2014-19, a total of 231 km of new lines have been commissioned in the north-eastern region.
Centre approved Rs 53,370-crore projects for Northeast during 2019-20 financial year - The Centre has allocated an amount of Rs 53,370 crore for infrastructure and socio and economic development of the north-eastern region (NER) during the 2019-20 financial year, DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday informed the Parliament.
