  1. **Let’s strengthen Team Assam spirit and beat Coronavirus, CM Sonowal tells political leaders - **As the outbreak of novel coronavirus infection has created a new wave of health hazard across the globe and Assam is not immune to this infection, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has urged the leaders of all political parties to strengthen the “spirit of Team of Assam” to work together and help the State tide over this health emergency.

  2. **Coronavirus outbreak: Hailakandi SHG chips in to address shortage of masks - **At a time when Hailakandi district is facing shortage of masks in wake of coronavirus outbreak, a group of women has stepped in to provide the protective gear to people at an affordable rate. The district has been facing an acute shortage of masks since the last 15 days and whatever is available, is being sold at a premium.

  3. **Rotting vegetables to impact agrarian economy: Ideal farmer Pandit Soneswar Konwar - **Krishi Pandit Soneswar Konwar has questioned as to why the State Agriculture Department hasn’t procured vegetables and allowed them to rot in the field during the COVID-19 lockdown. “Such a lapse on the part of the department will have adverse impact on the agrarian economy in the State,” he said.

Coronavirus Update: Assam Tests One More Positive of Coronavirus; Tally Reached at 30 - **The tally of Assam has reached to 30 as a new case of Coronavirus has been reported from Dhubri this morning (Monday). State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to twitter to announce the new case in Assam and he said, Alert ~ Another person from Dhubri, connected with #TablighiJamaat meet at #NizamuddinMarkaz, has been found #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 30.

  1. **‘Pothar Konya’ Nabanita Das extends helping hand to marginal rural farmers in Jorhat - **‘Best Lady Farmer of the country’ award recipient and progressive farmer Nabanita Das of Potia Fokola Gaon in Jorhat district came forward to stand beside the rural marginal farmers in this hour of crisis. With the active cooperation and help of her elder sister Junu Moni Das, ‘Pothar Konya’ Nabanita Das on Saturday met 60 rural marginal farmers of Chari Gaon No. 2, Natun Gohain Gaon and Purani Gohai Gaon near Nimati Ghat of Jorhat and extended a helping hand with packets of essential food commodities containing dal, potato, salt, mustard oil, biscuits and green vegetables.

Assam govt. to extend financial help Rs 25,000 to each cancer, kidney & heart patients - **The Assam government is going to extend financial help amounting to Rs 25,000 to each of the State’s cancer patients and also patients who are in other States for heart and kidney transplantations during the Coronavirus lockdown. Many such patients from Assam are now stuck in other States of the country.

  1. **Lockdown extension: Assam Cabinet to follow the Centre’s instructions - **The State Cabinet will take steps on whether to extend the lockdown beyond April 14 or not only on the basis of instructions and guidelines received from the Centre. The decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Sarbananda Sonowal Cabinet held at Assam Administrative Staff College at Khanapara here on Sunday.
