When Chai's friend told her he had "political depression." At first, She didn't take it seriously because it's not a recognized medical term and my friend is usually tough. But over the next year, he kept talking about how he watched negative news for seven or eight hours a day, how he couldn't sleep, and how political depression made him lose interest in everything - work, life, and being alive. Chai got very worried when he started talking about death. That's when she started researching the topic but found few articles in both English and Chinese in this field. One article by Dr. Robert Lusson had been widely circulated in China, so she reached out to him. This is not an academic interview but a conversation between a concerned friend and a therapist.
1 Is political depression real? What is the core of the depression?
2 What is the main drive behind political depression?
3 How do we break the old rutines?
