The Former Bank of England policymaker, Danny Blanchflower, says a looming UK recession will force the next Prime minister to scrap proposed tax cuts and deliver more help to the less well-off. The Dartmouth economics professor tells Bloomberg's Lizzy Burden and Stephen Carroll that the government should be protecting people from the current cost of living crisis, and not the BOE.
