In today's episode, Abby and Margot welcome their next guest Christine Iovelli. Christine is a certified mental health counselor specializing in anxiety and trauma, and a certified hypnotherapist. Christine shares that she'd been anxious since childhood but didn't realize it was anxiety until googling her symptoms right before college. Growing up in a home where she assumed this type of energy was normal because of her family's always busy, scattered tendencies made her anxiety seem familiar and comfortable. Christine shares openly about her journey through adulthood discussing a variety of factors that contributed to anxiety. Such as living with alcoholism, an eating disorder, postpartum anxiety and more. We learn how and why she ultimately made a change, and the many coping strategies she uses. This includes using anxiety as a motivator, and recognizing it as energy that can be wielded for positivity and growth. It also includes being a present light in the recovery community that supported her, embracing her anxiety, connecting to all of life's little joys, and MUCH much more.
