Dear Friend,
Being a strong Black woman almost broke me.
This is my Depression Story.
As a Black woman, there is so much shame and stigma around mental illness.
Dealing with depression and anxiety as a Black woman comes with a lot of judgement and expectations, and it's so much worse in the Church.
Toxic positivity runs through Christian culture and people are suffering because of it.
