This is a very basic explanation of fasting and autophagy. I discuss the history of fasting, benefits of fasting to different body systems, why fasting may or may not be good for weight loss, a few fasting protocols, and discuss autophagy and mTOR at a very basic level. This is meant to be a brief introduction to fasting and intermittent fasting and more episodes will be released with guests that have a much better and deeper understanding of fasting.
