41 new Railway Stations constructed in NE since 2014, says DoNER Minister - As many as 41 new railway stations were constructed on account of new lines construction in the north-eastern region (NER) since 2014, said DoNER Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. The minister informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday that during 2014-19, a total of 231 km of new lines have been commissioned in the north-eastern region.
**Centre approved Rs 53,370-crore projects for Northeast during 2019-20 financial year **- The Centre has allocated an amount of Rs 53,370 crore for infrastructure and socio and economic development of the north-eastern region (NER) during the 2019-20 financial year, DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday informed the Parliament. He also said that 548 of projects, at present, are at various Stages of implementation in the region.

The DCPs in the district have asked the OCs of the police stations under them to take all preventive measures so as to prevent the outbreak of the virus and make people visiting the police stations also aware of it.
**NF Railway cancels 50 trains to prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus **- As a precautionary measure of Covid-19 the NF Railway has, reportedly, cancelled as many as 24 low-occupancy trains mostly March 20 to April 4. Some of the trains have been cancelled up to March 31. It has also cancelled 26 other trains for other reasons.
