Deep Dive

Key Insights

Why did the UK government ban puberty blockers for minors?

The UK government banned puberty blockers for minors due to the weak evidence supporting their use and concerns about their safety risks for children and young people. The CAST review, commissioned by the NHS, found that the evidence for these treatments was remarkably weak.

What are the potential long-term effects of puberty blockers on a developing body?

Puberty blockers can cause symptoms similar to menopause, such as hot flashes, itching, and uncontrollable sweating. They can also lead to joint and bone issues, and there are concerns about their long-term effects on fertility and overall health. These effects are not always reversible.

Why is the United States behind Europe in regulating puberty blockers?

The United States is behind Europe in regulating puberty blockers due to the strong ideological and political push in the U.S. that frames these treatments as a human rights issue. Additionally, the U.S. has a privatized healthcare system, making it harder to implement universal bans.

What can the federal government do to slow down the use of puberty blockers in the U.S.?

The federal government can investigate doctors and healthcare systems that are using these treatments without evidence, and hold politicians accountable for promoting these practices. This includes looking into the ethical and legal implications of these treatments.

Why is Senator Rand Paul in favor of Bobby Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard joining the cabinet?

Senator Rand Paul supports Bobby Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard because he believes they can help reveal the deceit and deception in funding research in Wuhan that led to the pandemic, and because Tulsi Gabbard has been a victim of the deep state, making her well-suited to root out bias in intelligence agencies.

What is Senator Rand Paul's stance on food stamps and unhealthy food?

Senator Rand Paul believes that food stamps should not cover unhealthy foods like full-sugar sodas, candy, and junk food. He proposes that restricting food stamps to healthy foods could lead to significant health improvements and reduce healthcare costs in the long run.

Why is Senator Rand Paul concerned about a potential pardon for Anthony Fauci?

Senator Rand Paul is concerned about a potential pardon for Anthony Fauci because it would be seen as an admission of guilt for his role in funding gain-of-function research in Wuhan, which led to the pandemic. He believes such a pardon would seal Fauci's fate as the 'godfather' of the pandemic.

What areas of investigation does Senator Rand Paul suggest for Anthony Fauci?

Senator Rand Paul suggests investigating Anthony Fauci for lying to Congress, covering up information, destroying public records, and evading Freedom of Information Act requests. He also wants to see the decision-making process behind the funding of gain-of-function research.

What is Senator Rand Paul's advice for identifying and eliminating government waste?

Senator Rand Paul advises using the rescission process to return unspent funds to Congress and immediately rewriting or undoing regulations. He also suggests that the president has the power to change regulations, such as those related to asylum claims, to reduce waste and inefficiency.

Why does Senator Rand Paul believe the U.S. should withdraw troops from Syria?

Senator Rand Paul believes the U.S. should withdraw troops from Syria because the 900 troops are not enough to be a deterrent and are more of a target for terrorists. He argues that the troops are not making the U.S. safer and that the conflict in Syria is not a fight the U.S. should be involved in.

The United Kingdom government has indefinitely banned the prescription of puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria in minors. It's not a permanent legal ban. The government says it will gather more evidence and revisit it in 2027. The watershed moment in the United Kingdom was the release of the CAST review, a report commissioned by the British National Health Service to look at the medical evidence around transgenderism.

The report found that the evidence supporting treatments like puberty blockers was, quote, remarkably weak. The British health secretary said puberty blockers pose, quote, an unacceptable safety risk for children and young people. Remember.

This is a member of the left-wing Labour Party. By the way, because this is Britain, the government is also banning oatmeal advertisements from TV on the grounds that it's junk food. Now, putting all that together, the United Kingdom has now banned puberty blockers, which is actually a better medical position than what we're seeing here in the States. Joining us now is Chloe Cole, a detransitioner and activist and a great person. Chloe, welcome to the program. Your reaction to this news? Thanks for having me, Charlie. I mean, for the UK, this is an incredibly big decision for them.

This is following the CAS report, as you mentioned. If it were not for this report, if it weren't for this review of the current state of these cross-sex experimentation in the UK that concluded that these treatments are on shaky ground, that there really isn't any evidence for these procedures being used, this ban probably would not have happened as quickly as it did. In the first step in

stopping this experimentation is, of course, stopping the use of this puberty-locking medication, because it is the gateway drug onto the next medications, the cross-sex hormones, and of course, the surgeries. But just banning the blockers is not enough, because likely it'll just lead to kids getting onto the next interventions, those just stopping the

Just avoiding the blockers entirely and going straight on to estrogen for boys or testosterone for girls or getting surgeries as part of their first few interventions. We have to create, they have to create a blanket ban entirely for any of these because this is never,

okay to experiment on a child like this. Correct. So let's talk about your experience, Chloe. You've been on these drugs. What did they do to you? What pharmacologically do these toxins do to a young developing body? So the puberty blockers were the first of three interventions that I was on as part of my childhood gender transition. And I was on them for about a year.

And I was, me and my mom and dad were told that they would be completely reversible, that they would be negligible on their side effects. And what I experienced from them would be temporary and go away after I stopped taking them.

While I was on them, I basically went into an adolescent onset menopause. I was experiencing symptoms that women really only start to experience once they're in their 40s, 50s, and 60s when I was only 13 years old. So hot flashes, these uncomfortable physical sensations of itching, tingling, uncontrollable sweating. Emotionally, I was very numb while I was on it. And years after I've stopped taking them, I've noticed that...

I have started to have issues with my joints, with my bones, with my back. I get shooting pains up my spine and in my joints. There is absolutely nothing that is reversible about stopping the only process through which a child can fully develop into an adult. I don't know how having been on this drug is going to affect my health in the future.

And for a lot of people, that's just the first intervention. Can you speak more about that, that the drugs get more severe? That is the initial dosage. And Chloe, how quickly can a minor get puberty blockers in America? How many visits, how many doctors do you have to see before puberty blockers are received? So for me, it only took about half a year between my first therapy appointment and being put

on my first injection of puberty blockers. But for some people, it happens as early as after a single appointment, either in person or even just over the phone. And they really are just the first step in this process for children.

These doctors are putting children on puberty blockers with the intents of having them go further and further down the line of medical transition, which is exactly why we have to ban the full package. If we just ban blockers, that is not enough to protect our kids.

Yeah. And so why is it, do you think, Chloe, that the United States is so far behind Europe on this? I mean, it's quite interesting, right? Because it's these European countries that are very, very left wing that are creating, that are stopping the usage of these treatments in children. Even though here in the U.S., we are far behind. While we want...

We're following the old procedures that were created by the same European countries. And now we're just going all the way forward, even though these same countries are stopping it because they've seen how these treatments have had no basis, how they're negatively affecting the bodies of children. And I believe that a large part of that is

how this has become so ideologically powerful here in the United States. I feel like in general here in the US, we're a lot more motivated by politics just in general. And the left here in the States has made this into a human rights issue. They've claimed that by not allowing children to undergo these treatments, it's actually subverting their rights to live by themselves, to be happy, to be healthy.

And these countries that are stopping the use of these treatments also have socialized healthcare systems, so it's much easier for them to roll back the system. Whereas because we're such a large country, because we have 50 states, because we have a privatized healthcare system, and because we have a privatized healthcare system, it's much, much harder to roll out these treatments.

the bans so universally. President Trump ran and campaigned on forbidding minors from being able to receive this sort of treatment. That is going to be a big fight. It's going to basically include lawsuits and investigations and subpoenas. Chloe, what can the federal government do, if anything in your estimation, to slow this down and fulfill that promise to protect our children?

Well, we absolutely need to do an investigation into not only these doctors, but also these hospital systems, these healthcare systems that without any evidence are still going hard into using these treatments on our children, taking away their fertility, taking away their health before they're even adults. And of course, we should be holding the politicians who are

are still pushing this ideology without any evidence accountable because we are not a country that stands for the abuse of children. And that really is the moral clarion call of our time. Final question, Chloe, how many people are like you that have been massacred, poisoned, destroyed, and castrated by doctors? How many are out there? We might never know.

We might never know how many detransitioners or people who have been hurt by the system are out there. But I've probably spoken to hundreds to thousands of detransitioners at this point in passing over the internet or in person. I've met probably about 100 or so just within the past few years. And it's like every week.

I meet a new person either over the internet or even just speaking at a college campus or speaking at a church who has come out the other way from this ideology, from this lifestyle. Chloe, how can people support you and follow you on social media? So I'm active mostly on X and Instagram, but I also have a YouTube channel. And my username on all three social media platforms is the same. I'm

You can find me at C-H-O-O-O-C-O-L-E, Chukul. Or you can also find me by looking up Chukul. Chloe, you are a courageous person, one of the greats of this country. God bless you. We'll see you again soon. She speaks on our campuses about this horror. Thank you so much. God bless. See you at MFest.

Do you ever have the feeling like you're being surveilled and hesitate to share things of interest via text message or email with your friends and loved ones? Recently outspoken parents at PTA meetings and Catholic Americans have been labeled as domestic terrorists by the FBI. These types of labels can be used to allow the U.S. government to surveil its citizens.

I have to go back through this. It is so incredibly important. So Van Jones is a little bit of a, he's a radical, I guess you could say, which I have nothing against. I'm a radical. It means to the root radical.

I actually think my views are very centrist, but that's a separate topic for a different time. Depends on what you're grading it against. It always begs, by what standard are you centrist, right wing, whatever? Van Jones has been more outspoken and more accurate as to why the left lost than any other person. New media is ascendant. X, Rumble, even TikTok. I think one of the major reasons we were able to win is because of what the team did on TikTok. I really believe it.

Ryan, can you send us the analytics from TikTok? I think we're able to speak openly about it now. I mean, it was billions of views of Gen Z straight to them, campus content, pro-American content. You see, the Democrats, they thought everybody watches CNN, everybody watches MSNBC, and even that, when they don't, we're just going to run a bunch of ads and we're going to convince them to be with us. Like, no, no, no, no.

Just on our TikTok, our TikTok received 1.7 billion views, 25 million profile views, 136 million likes, 7.3 million comments, and 5.4 million shares. And we only started posting in April. That is not even a full year.

And that was season one on TikTok. Season two is coming this spring and it's going to be huge. It's going to be great. It's going to be different, but it'll be similar. It's going to be amazing. Season two on campuses across the country. Van Jones stumbles into this reality and he mentions us by name in this clip. Van Jones...

Says Charlie Kirk, Elon Musk. And again, we were so mocked. Can we get those headlines again? I mean, they're worth repeating. Charlie Kirk doesn't know what he's doing. Turning Point doesn't know what they're doing. They're going to stumble over themselves. It turns out that we had the superior plan. We were going to reach your grandkid. We were going to reach your brother. We were going to reach your sister while they're scrolling through TikTok while you're talking about how many doors you're knocking on. Amateur hour.

We were the sophisticated professional ones. And again, I say it once, I'll say it twice, I'll say it a hundred times. Credit to Susie Wiles and James Blair and the whole Trump campaign team that was able to orchestrate all this, to allow creators to create, to allow people to go chase ballots, to register voters. Listen intently. This is worth repeating.

It is Van Jones talking about how you are the media now. We are the media. This is a profound change. He says something with serious profundity. When Van Jones says the fringe has become the mainstream and the mainstream has become the fringe. And this is not going to change. I think this is one of the reasons why they want to ban TikTok. Forget all the Chinese stuff. That's for a different topic at a different time. Some of it is...

need to be cleaned up. Some of it's completely fraudulent. It's just not true. Why do they want to ban TikTok? Because fringe voices like Charlie Kirk were able to get 1.7 billion views on TikTok. That's why. The fringe has become the mainstream. The mainstream has become the fringe. This is at a political science panel. They should have invited me. You know, Andrew, I got to really put some muscle towards Andrew. Andrew, why did I not get an invite to any of these high society, Harvard, New York Times book deal things?

Next cycle, okay, Mikey? We got to do that. 96. And I'm telling you, we are way off. The entire political class is way off. First of all, digital is a new door knocking. You got to understand that. We were laughing our butts off at Donald Trump for suspending his door knocking campaign and letting Charlie Kirk and Elon do a bunch of stuff online. We said, these guys are idiots. These guys are stupid. Then you start knocking on these doors.

You know what people come to the door with? Their phone in their hand. They're in a 24-hour digital surround sound that has nothing to do with CNN, has nothing to do with any stuff that we do. I asked myself, I got a teenage son, I asked him, who are the most influential people in the world today? I'm thinking to myself, he's going to say Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z. He says, Kai Scent, Aiden Ross, Jinxie, and Sketch.

I don't know who he's talking about. I said, what platforms are you on? He goes, I'm on Twitch, Kick, and Rumble. I said, that sounds like you need to go to the hospital. What are these platforms? I'm telling you guys, the mainstream has become fringe, and the fringe has become mainstream. There are platforms, there are people out there that are getting 14 million streams, and we're on cable news getting 1 or 2 million.

And so there is a whole world out there. Kellyanne Conway, I hate to agree with her, but I do a lot of times. Donald Trump understood that and we didn't. And that's not just Democrats who don't. The entire political class is way off, way off, way off. Way off, way off, way off. Well, that's why Donald Trump is planning a transition. And you guys are trying to figure out what rumble is.

Joining us now is a fierce fighter for liberty, Senator Rand Paul from the great state of Kentucky. Senator, great to see you. Senator, I want to get your reaction to some of President Trump's cabinet picks, Bobby Kennedy and Tulsi Gabbard in particular, two changemakers that are trying to become officials in the cabinet that have to go through the Senate. Senator, your reaction.

I'm a big fan of both. I've known Tulsi Gabbard quite a while. I have a big intern program in Washington where I invite all of the interns on Capitol Hill, all the Republicans, all the Democrats, and then I select the speakers. And last year, Tulsi Gabbard was one of the speakers. This is before I knew that the deep state was going after her and actually listing her on some sort of terror watch list. And I'm a big fan of both.

But I think what better person to head the intelligence agencies and root out this kind of bias towards individuals than someone who's actually been abused by the deep state. So I'm a big fan of Tulsi's, and I think she'll do a great job. Bobby Kennedy, I know well also, and I think he will help to reveal the money and the

I think deceit and deception that went along with funding the research in Wuhan that led to the pandemic. I'm also a big believer we need to do something about health. One of the things I plan on talking to him about is the idea that food stamps shouldn't cover unhealthy food.

I don't think that food stamps should pay for full sugar Coca-Cola, Pepsi, full sugar anything. I don't think it should pay for hostess ding-dongs. I don't think the food stamps should pay for bags of candy. So there's all kinds of stuff. If we want people to eat healthier in our country, why don't we quit subsidizing bad food? And I think Bobby Kennedy will be good about that.

I agree. And that will also incorporate Brooke Rollins at USDA because food stamps go through the Department of Agriculture. Senator, that's such a smart point. You think about it, that we are essentially taxpayers subsidizing obesity.

which then you as a doctor know is a cause set in motion where you have a cascade of interventions that are necessary, where then someone is obese, they have type 2 diabetes, they have heart conditions, that then if they are likely getting food stamps, then they're also likely on Medicaid. Can you speak to how the welfare state creates a bigger welfare state and how an early intervention of having healthier eating could actually prevent trillions of dollars of taxpayer money down the road?

If you actually were to take my bill, which restricts the formula to only healthy food, so the formulary for food stamps would only be healthy food, it could possibly be the most dramatic, healthful change, preventative healthful change in the history of the country. Why do I say that? Because obesity is one of the biggest problems we have in our country, and obesity is much more common and more prevalent among the poor who rely on the government.

And so, no, I think this would be an extraordinary change. What people should also know though is I have approached several Democrats to co-sponsor the bill and so far not one Democrat will get close to it even though I'm not changing the amount of dollars. People would still get the same amount of dollars for food, they just would not be able to buy unhealthy food with it and yet no Democrat will co-sponsor this.

I do think, though, that the presidential branch can change something like the formulary even without legislation. So I think they can do this by themselves. I'll be meeting with Bobby Kennedy sometime in the next week or two to discuss his nomination, and I plan on bringing this up with him.

So, Senator, I want to dive a little bit deeper into the Fauci element here. You tweeted something out that caught my eye. Will Biden pardon Fauci? If Fauci is pardoned, it will simply seal his fate as the godfather of the gain of function experiments that led to the pandemic. I mean, Senator, that will be one of the most extraordinary preemptive pardons in history.

American history. I mean, you could, of course, talk about the preemptive pardon of Gerald Ford pardoning Richard Nixon. What do you even make of the point that this is being considered, Senator? We have said for a while that there are crimes against humanity, but this now goes to show that they internally think that crimes might have been committed.

Senator. You know, with regard to Hunter Biden, I think the pardon, he escapes punishment. Nobody thought or questioned whether he was guilty. He's already been, you know, adjudicated as guilty. So no one really doubted that. The pardon saves him prison time. With Anthony Fauci, there's still some of the establishment that laud and glorify him despite the evidence. The acceptance of that pardon, we...

will be an acceptance of guilt on his part. And it will be, I think, without a doubt, he will be recorded in history as the godfather, the author, the person who gave his imprimatur, his approval to funding this dangerous research in China that led to the lab leak, which led to the pandemic. So I think the pandemic seals his fate. I mean, the pardon would seal his fate.

I hope it doesn't happen. I've referred Anthony Fauci twice with criminal referrals to the Department of Justice, but unfortunately Merrick Garland, who I think is the most partisan Attorney General we've ever had, has ignored those referrals. But as soon as there's a new Attorney General,

I plan on sending my criminal referral. And interestingly, my referral is not me making an accusation. The accusation is actually made by Anthony Fauci because he says one thing in the Senate hearing, but he says another thing in private emails. His own email indicts him as a liar during the committee hearings. And I think that's pretty strong evidence when his own words actually prove that he lied to Congress, which is a felony.

I think that's really smart, Senator. I think incoming Attorney General, potentially Pam Bondi, if she gets the support of senators, it looks strong. That would be a phenomenal thing to pick up lying in front of Congress, which remember, they did to Michael Cohen and they've done to many other people on the right. There's not without precedent of going after a line. But understand this. This is a very important thing.

It's one thing if Michael Cohen lies to Congress, not good. This guy was in charge of the public health decisions and with it, the livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people. That should be a much higher standard when he lies. That is the well-being and liberty. He held hostage the liberty of an entire civilization.

Hey, everybody. Charlie Kirk here. As we gear up for another important election year, remember that we vote every day with our dollar. One of the best ways to support America is by buying from local farms and ranches. Good Ranchers makes this easy by delivering 100% American meat to your door. When you shop with Good Ranchers, you're not just getting the best meat for your family, but also supporting American farmers and ranchers.

This year, instead of buying imported meat, cast your vote for American agriculture and local economy. I've used Good Ranchers meat for quite some time, and they never disappoint. Whatever your choice of protein, you'll be pleased if you cast a vote for Good Ranchers. Use code Kirk for $25 off your order and your choice of free chicken breasts, ground beef, bacon, or wild-caught salmon for a year. It's time to make a stand. Vote for American meat with Good Ranchers. Your purchase helps keep American farms alive.

thriving and ensures you get the highest quality meat for your family. I love Good Ranchers. You should check it out right now at GoodRanchers.com. Use promo code Kirk. That is GoodRanchers.com. Check it out right now. Promo code Kirk.

I know that this will require some speculation, Senator, but indulge me. What other areas of investigation should we look at when it comes to Anthony Fauci that you know? If you've been on this better than anybody else and you deserve such credit, you're a doctor yourself. If we were to say that we had a special division of the Department of Justice for COVID justice, what would we look after?

The criminal referral in his case is for lying to Congress, which is a felony. But even just as important or more important is the idea of covering up. So destruction of public records, covering up, evading Freedom of Information Act, evading congressional oversight, requesting records. I've tried for three years to get the decision making. So what happened is there was a safety committee created in 2017 that

dangerous gain of function research was supposed to go through this safety committee. And yet it didn't, it never got there. And Anthony Fauci says, well, I deemed it not to be dangerous. So it didn't have to go to the safety committee. And my response is, well, if you did, upon what advice? He says, all my scientists told me it wasn't gain of function research. It wasn't dangerous. I said, show me the deliberation.

But steadfastly, the NIH, at his direction, and even with him gone, his fellow members of this cover-up continue to prevent me from seeing these records. So I'm excited about a couple of other appointments. Marty McCary at FDA and Jay Bhattachary at NIH.

I haven't talked to them recently about this, but I've talked to them through the years. I think they are anxious not only to make sure that this never happens again, but also to see if there are people still in positions of power at the NIH who are part of the cover-up. I believe we will find them. Unless they have destroyed the records, I believe we will find them. Every day we're finding something new, but every day they resist us. So the level of resistance that

which actually is greater than the level of resistance we've gotten from the CIA. NIH has been harder to deal with than the CIA, but the level of the resistance, I believe there is something there that is going to be profound, important, damning, and ultimately there's going to be more people that are going to be culpable in this cover-up.

Senator, I want to now talk about the Department of Government Efficiency. This is something you've been leading on for quite some time, talking about the waste and the abuse. You've famously tweeted out some of these stories. What do you make of the Department of Government Efficiency? And what public and private advice do you have for Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as they endeavor on this monstrous task of

to identify waste and then eliminate it? You know, I'm a big fan of the project. I've talked with Vivek several times. I've known him for a few years now. And I think that they will find the waste. We gave them 2,000 pages to get them started, 2,000 pages of waste that they can immediately look at. Amazing. There's a couple ways that you can get rid of waste.

If the federal government doesn't spend the money, they can simply send it back to Congress as something that's called rescission. Rescission is a special legislative vehicle that gets immediately taken up by Congress, and it only takes a simple majority. So we could actually cut significant votes, significant dollars with only Republican votes.

That is something that I think can and should be done. On the regulatory front, I think most regulations can be modified or undone simply at the whim of the executive branch. So he needs to, and they should, immediately start rewriting regulations.

You know, one of the ones that I think they will do on day one is that you can't apply for asylum if you're in a safe country. So what President Trump did the last time is that people in Mexico weren't being tortured in Mexico. They were claiming they were being abused in Venezuela or some other country. So they simply wrote a regulation that said you can't apply if you're in a safe country. You have to apply from the safe country. So that was sort of part of remain in Mexico.

I think they can go even further this time through the regulatory apparatus of simply saying that you will not be eligible for any claim of political asylum or any adjudication or any appeal if you come in illegally.

So all these people coming across the river, to my mind, can be turned around and put back on the other side. No trial, no appeals, no sending them off to the Roosevelt Hotel in New York, no transferring them around the country like the killer of Lake and Riley. They should be turned around immediately at the border. I think that the president has that power by statute, and we should exercise it.

Senator, you deserve credit for a lifelong of work and over a decade of service in the Senate, making the courageous arguments on waste across government. And really, Doge, I think, is a culmination of your efforts for us to identify and hopefully be able to eliminate waste.

this waste and roles of things that government should not be involved in at all. Senator Paul, you've been warning about getting involved in Middle East quagmires for quite some time. The Syria one is no exception. Some people are celebrating the fall of Bashar al-Assad. Assad's a bad guy. You have to be morally clear on that. However, when a dictator falls, something even worse sometimes follows. How should we think about the situation in Syria?

I think most people are confused. You know, are good guys winning or bad guys winning? The people who took over the government are a jihadist group that as recently as last year, the year before, were called al-Nusra, that had been associated with al-Qaeda for some time. I think their success came because they were pushed in by Turkey. So Turkey is going to be a big winner here. But they also are enemies to the Syrian Kurds that fought with U.S. troops against ISIS.

There is some question. Will they cooperate with these people? Will they eliminate the Kurds? Will they free the ISIS fighters that are held in a camp in Syria? As far as Assad goes, of course he was a dictator, but Christians were protected in this country and have been for a long time. They were a minority that were protected. What will happen to Christians now? So Donald Trump tweeted out the other day, not our fight, and I tweeted out in agreement

We've had 900 troops scattered throughout eastern Syria for really since the last Trump administration. Because as you'll recall, when Trump began moving them around, Liz Cheney and the other chicken hawks, Adam Kinzinger and the other never-Trumpers, tried to pass a law saying that the president, Donald Trump, didn't have the right to move troops around.

one of the most unconstitutional, eggheaded sort of proposals to come around in a long time. So I'm encouraging President Trump when he comes in not to listen to the Liz Cheney's, not to listen to the chicken hawks, and to move those troops out as soon as possible, because I think they're a target for terrorists. Terrorists in the region love nothing more than to kill an American, and they would drag us in.

But 900 soldiers are not enough to be a deterrent. They're more of a target than they are a deterrent. I've said recently that 900 soldiers couldn't organize a parade in New York City. This is not enough soldiers to be militarily effective, and they should be removed immediately.

So I'll continue to advocate for that. But this is a very messy civil war with no clear-cut freedom fighters or people who would defend the right to practice your religion. And in that case, I'm with Donald Trump. It's not our fight.

Not our fight at all. Senator, when pressed, what what does the military machinery say is the justification for those 900 soldiers? It's just it's a remarkable thing. What do they say? I mean, what is their best argument? The reports that are coming out recently, public reports are saying, oh, they're there to keep the ISIS fighters bottled up in prison should they break out.

Initially, they were there towards the end of the war with ISIS until ISIS was contained. They were part of advising and fighting with the Kurds. The Kurds now control the garrison up there, and apparently there are a significant number of prisoners there, but I'm not sure 900 is enough to contain them if they were all freed. If the rebels that are now supported by the Turks decide to tangle with the Kurds, which is not

out of the realm of possibilities because the Turks don't like the Kurds at all. If that should happen and the prison opens, I think our 900 troops are going to be at risk, but I don't think 900 troops is enough. And at that point...

you already have the sort of neocon leaning members of the Senate already advocating for more troops, not less. And this is the tug of war that happened in the first Trump administration. You had people like John Bolton who turned out to be a never Trumper, to be disloyal and to be really just a reprehensible person. Unfortunately, it was picked to be part of the administration. And so I would advocate to pull the troops from Syria and John Bolton would be there in the White House advocating the opposite.

So far, I'm encouraged and I'm hopeful that the foreign policy team around Trump will be more in line with Donald Trump's thinking and not opposing him. But it is an important battle that happens as the administration unfolds. And I will continue to try to be as loud a voice as I can about removing our troops from Syria because I don't think they're making us more safe. Senator, thank you so much. I know you got to dash. Keep fighting for liberty and keep fighting to prevent these stupid wars. Thank you so much, Senator.

Thank you.
