We're back to normal here on the Tuesday episodes. And I appreciate all your patience while me and my crew took a little breather. Now I'm back with a brand new topic for tonight's program. For as you know, here on the Tuesday episode, all the calls share a central theme. All Bigfoot. All ghosts. All UFOs. You get the drift. And tonight's subject is something I honestly don't know a lot about.

For me, it teeters on the side of religion, which is also not a subject I'm well versed in. But the other end of that teeter is the paranormal. So here I am. Now, of course, I'm talking about the concept of demonic possession. And that's possession of items, things, places, and even people. But it's with possessed items that we begin here this evening. Elvira from Illinois. Welcome to the program.

Hey, Derek. My name is Elvira, and I'm calling because I wanted to leave my story. I guess you could say it's kind of a paranormal story, maybe even demonic, I would guess. Just wanted to say, though, from the beginning that I do love your podcast. I've been listening to it for quite some time now, and I really enjoy hearing everyone else's stories. It gives it sort of a realistic vibe. But anyway, good job on the podcast. Just wanted to give you kudos.

So, my story happened, and this is probably the only thing that I've ever experienced that was truly paranormal or demonic. It happened well over five years ago, in my early 20s. I was dating this guy at the time of...

that was kind of a scientific guy, you know, didn't really believe in religion. He was kind of like go against the grain. If it's not provable, then I don't believe it kind of guy. So I was brought up as a Catholic, my family, you know, they would take me to mass and all that. So I never really questioned my religion. I just knew I was brought up Catholic. So that's just what I believed in. I wasn't really going to church or praying or anything. I wasn't really a practicing Catholic. I just, you know, grew up with it. So it kind of stuck.

Anyway, I was talking to my boyfriend at the time over the phone, and he was just telling me all this information about how the Bible is a bunch of crap and saying how it kind of contradicts itself. It'll say one thing, and then right after it'll say something else that kind of goes against what it just said.

Basically, you know, calling it a bunch of BS and how it makes us all look like sinners and just a bunch of negative things against the Bible and religion. So me, you know, I had never questioned my religion. I just kind of was like, okay, you know, I mean, I was listening to everything he was saying and I guess it kind of stuck with me. I was like, wow, you know what? He's got a point. I'd never realized because I never read the Bible. You know, I just never questioned it. So we hung up and that night I went to sleep and

And maybe a few hours, not even, I got woken up. And now I got woken up because my bed was shaking. Now it wasn't shaking like exorcist up and down crazy either, but it was shaking.

And it woke me up. I mean, immediately I freaked out. You know, I didn't know what the heck to do. I had the blanket pulled over. You know, the covers were pulled over my eyes. I really wanted to see. I was curious. But then part of me was like, you know what? I don't really know if I want to see that.

The only thing I could think to do was like, you know what, I'm going to start praying. That's the only thing that came to mind. So I started praying and mind you, I don't know any prayers fully. I don't know anything. I just started blurting out all the holy things that I knew, you know, any bits and pieces I could muster up. And then I started praying and

And the shaking did stop momentarily. You know, and I was wide awake. I'm like, okay, did it stop? I was too scared to pull the covers back because I didn't want to see. And it started up again, again shaking. So the only thing I could do was, again, just pray. And I started praying again.

The shaking altogether maybe was like a minute or two. It wasn't a long time. It wasn't crazy. It was just like shaking. Kind of like a massage chair would feel. Something like that. It was shaking. I was fully awake. So yeah, the shaking happened twice. And then after I prayed, it went away.

So the next morning, after I finally was able to sleep, I don't even know how that night, the next morning I looked in my room, you know, to see, okay, did we have an earthquake? You know, I live in Illinois. I should have added that. So, I mean, earthquakes are not common, but they do happen every so often. I check the news, the weather, all that. I ask my family members, I'm like, did you guys feel anything? Was there an earthquake? Nothing of the sort. And nothing fell. So...

I couldn't really question what it was because if it had been an earthquake, then perhaps things would have been on the floor, you know, something like that, or it would have at least been on the news. I can only assume that what I experienced and the closest thing I can, you know, describe it is kind of like a falling from grace. If you've ever heard of something like that,

And that was like, if you believe in this stuff, then that was maybe demonic.

Ever since then, I wouldn't consider myself a Catholic or even a religious person, but I think I've always held on to a little bit of faith at that point. So it's kind of like, you know what? I really don't want to experience this again. Let me just, you know, let me just hold on to the what if, because even though I didn't see anything, just that experience alone to me made me...

Okay, you know, something is out there, whether it's godly or demonic, I don't know, but something is out there and I don't want to experience anything like that again. I do love all the supernatural paranormal stuff. I will say I'm a skeptic when I need to be, but I know that there's things out there we can't explain.

So I always keep that in the back of my mind. You know, I try to reason as to why things happen. I just could not figure out a reason. You know, that's the only thing I've ever experienced since then. And this was over five years ago. I haven't experienced anything. I know I was fully awake. I know what I saw, what I felt. So I know that this was real to me.

My imagination is just not that good, unfortunately. But I wanted to share my story because I figured, you know, if anyone else has experienced something quite like that as far as like falling from grace or something like that where they felt like they were officially in the hold of something demonic, like, you know, once you give up faith, is that how it works? You know, I've always found it interesting. So I wanted to give you my little piece of information and see, you know, if anyone else has experienced it or just to kind of pass on the information.

Now as promised, more possessed items. Please welcome Frank from New York back to the program. Hey Derek, this is Frank from Long Island. I'm calling about a little weird situation that happened to me maybe around 2002, 2003, maybe 2001.

So we've had this cable box for many years. It was an old school Tocom. Had the wood graining on it, the old red numberings. And...

I remember it was one night, you know, I was watching TV. You know, I went to sleep. I turned it off. And all of a sudden, I heard just a cable box click on. It had that distinct clicking noise. Everybody, you know, grew up in the late 80s and 90s. You know, you had the old school cable boxes. It had that distinct sound to it. Now, this would happen once in a while that the box would turn on.

And it would always come up as 00, the numbers you have to put, you know, the channel in yourself. And I remember one night, it clicked on, and it said, hi. And I remember, I woke up, I saw it, and I'm like, what the hell? I'm like, how the hell is that? Like, you know, it's an old box. I mean...

I want to say it's from maybe 89, 90. I remember watching Terminator 2 on pay-per-view. That's how old it is. It was around that time when it comes to the age of the box. But from all the years that we've had it, not once has it ever turned on and then saved those letterings. At first, I thought I was getting tracked. It was a hotbox. If anybody knows what a hotbox is...

You could pretty much watch whatever channel you want pretty much for free. And I remember back in the day, they would have those websites where you could rat people out and have their cable box turned off. So I thought, oh crap, somebody's on to us. We're going to get our cables shut off. But I remember I looked it on overnight, and when I woke up in the morning, I took a picture of it. Back in the day when I get some color phones, color cell phones that just come out.

So I was showing all my friends and some family members and they were like, what the hell? Like, you know, there's cable boxes at that time that you would turn on and you would say hello, whatever. But,

I was just perplexed because of how old it was. Like, I've never seen anything like that happen before. And even my friends and family were like, yeah, that's weird. Like, how the hell would that happen? I mean, I'm sure there might be a possible explanation for it. I don't have an explanation for it. You know, I didn't feel anything, like, sinister or, like, feel any uneasiness around where it happened. I just thought it was so weird. Maybe...

Hi Derek, I'm calling over from England, Halifax in West Yorkshire. I'm going to tell you about what I think was a possessed item I inadvertently bought back in the late 90s over in Manchester in a hotel called the Sasha Hotel. I would have been around 17, 18. I didn't know at the time that hotel was quite seedy, not the best place for clientele.

However, I was massively into films and my uncle took me. So there's a lot of horror films and I bought a copy of The Exorcist.

on a VHS cassette tape. Looking at that tape, looking back at it, it was a bad copy. Some weird stains on the back of it. Didn't think much of it at the time. I was at college and I was doing all kinds of horror trailers and things for media studies I was doing at the time. So I had a lot of friends around and doing occult trailers, zombies and red paint everywhere. That film, I did watch it with my friends

Didn't really think anything of it. On the night that we did watch that film, we were just messing around. One of the friends said, oh, let's summon the devil. This is after I'd watched the film. And he mentioned, if we say the Lord's Prayer backwards, with all the windows open, the devil appears in the mirror, which he didn't do, but it did scare me a bit.

I didn't really think much of it at the time.

However, that tape, it did continue to move around the house. It got lost. I found it one day next to one of the house plants inside the home and the plant was dead. And I don't mean it hadn't been watered in a few days. It was proper black, brown, dead because the tape was next to it.

around that time as well as i was the late 90s we had an infestation of a wasp nest in the room it was a loft conversion they hated me the wasps and i know you shouldn't disturb a wasp you know they mind their own business however they go for me still happens to this day i still think whether i've got an unhealthy hatred of them they hate me and i hate them but that was something else i had to deal with quite a

The one thing that really did disturb me the most was one night, in the middle of the night, bear in mind I was about 17, 18 years old at the time, I heard a voice in the night say, and it was a deep, guttural, real, it's indescribable sound the way it was said, as in the human mind, and I was absolutely frozen in terror. I didn't sleep that night.

The very next day, I got all the tape when I found it. Again, it had gone missing and I threw it in the local tip. I destroyed it.

My own encounters, especially the creepiest one I've had, I prefer to remain anonymous. So I'll start by saying on my wife's side of the family, the women seem to have a genetic or like a hereditary predisposition to sensing paranormal activities.

They seem to be more connected to ghostly beings and spirits, and in turn, they seem to be magnets for them as well. So about four or five years ago, we were living in our first house, me and my wife and all our kids, and we started having a bunch of difficulties.

Different things happen throughout the night. My wife and my oldest daughter would both report hearing what sounded like whispers coming from the hallway leading to my two oldest children's bedrooms and things like that and then walking in the night. But I know I don't have a lot of time, so I'll get to the main event later.

I mean, in short, I'm a Christian. In the Bible, you know, Jesus gives us power over demons. So whenever my wife or kids would report hearing anything, I would go and, you know, clean it, quote unquote. I would go through and, you know, tell them they're not welcome here, steal it off in the name of Jesus, and that seemed to end it. But one night...

both my wife and my youngest daughter kept waking up in turns complaining of nightmares. First it would be my wife and then I would tell her it was okay and go back to sleep and then my youngest daughter would wake up and it just kept going all night. And so the next morning

So keep in mind, it's bright day out. That's when these beings should be at their weakest point. I started searching for this presence feeling around the room and I located it in our closet. And so I approached the closet, I opened the doors and I felt around some more and I could feel it at its strongest point in a corner of ours.

And so I went through my regular spiel. You know, I made the sign of the cross. I told her it wasn't welcome here and to be gone. And still I'm getting shivers just thinking about it. As soon as I had finished, I can't really explain it because there was nothing visible, but I felt the presence rush towards me and I could feel something.

I mean, it was inches from my face. I could almost see it staring back at me. And it sent shivers up my spine and it gave me chills and just a sick feeling in my stomach. You know, I'll be honest, I had doubts about my ability to handle this thing for a few moments, but...

Long story short, I bared down and, you know, me and this entity, whatever it was, my wife and I took to calling it a sleep demon. I kept blessing the area with the cross and going through my scriptures. And eventually I felt the presence leave. And luckily we have not been taunted by that thing since then. So that's my story. This happened January of 2021. I'm in the National Guard and I was up in Fort Custer, Michigan for a course up there. We were in between phases for this course and we had like three days that we kind of had to ourselves.

while the instructors were getting the course put together and just so we could have a break. And my ex-girlfriend, also from Indiana, had come up just to spend some time with me while I was up there and she'd gotten this Vrbo house. Now, I don't know if this happened, but this was a time where I was drinking heavily and I think it was the second or third night that she'd been there

I feel like I slept the whole night, but based on what she told me, I was sleeping pretty fitfully. I was moving around a lot. She said it looked like I was almost fighting something in my sleep. So she said that she had gotten up and sat down next to the bed and she started praying.

And a few minutes into the praying, she said, I sat straight up in bed and I looked at her with my eyes closed. And I said in some deep, not my own voice, something along the lines of, you can't have him. He's ours. And I laid back down. No, I didn't hear about this.

until several months later when her and I ended things. Now, I don't know if it was the house that she had rented out for us, the vacation rental that she'd gotten for us. I mean, it was pretty creepy. It was an old house. It was the guest house, actually, of a main house. A lot of old trinkets and stuff. I mean, it was an old wood panel for the interior walls type house, and there was a bunch of old...

trinkets and antiques around. And like I said, I was drinking pretty heavily at the time. Thank God I'm sober now. And heavy alcohol use has a tendency to make sleeping more difficult. So I don't know if that had an influence on what happened. I really don't know. I mean, really, it's kind of like the only paranormal-esque experience that I've had that I know of.

But I was listening to your show and listening to the podcast and I just had that thought pop up in my head. Just that memory of when she told me that. So, yeah, that's all I got. Now to prove my point about these disembodied voices and their battle for the human soul, and to segue us into our next category of quote-unquote possession, which is possessed people, here is tonight's next submitter, Josh from California.

Hello, my name is Josh. I'm from Sacramento. I'm from San Francisco. That's where I was born and raised in Daly City. And adjacent to Daly City, there's another little city called Colma, California. And there's a lot of cemeteries in that town of Colma.

Supposedly, part of the town was also built upon what used to be graves. Anyways, this happened about... and it didn't happen to me. It happened to my ex-wife at that time, my girlfriend. This happened about, probably a little bit over 20 years ago. She lived in Colma, in a three-story apartment building.

And when I was younger, actually, I had friends that lived in that neighborhood in another type of apartment building and a couple times went to play in the cemetery and

I saw a couple things there that followed for another call. But anyways, my girlfriend at that time, she lived in this apartment with her mother, her other sister, and our daughter at that time, she was a baby. She wasn't even a year old, I believe. And they had two apartments, I'm sorry, two bedrooms.

The kitchen, the living room, little hallway, little walkway, tiny. Anyways, that night I visited, I watched the movie on TV, I left, and she recounted what happened to me that night, the following night.

What happened was this. She says that she wasn't asleep in her bedroom. She shared a bedroom with her daughter. The next bedroom over slept her mother and her sister. And so sometime while she's asleep, she says she has a dream. And in this dream, she finds herself in bed, eyes open,

Okay. Semi-darkness around her. But she sees...

What she describes as just silhouettes around her bed, looking down at her. This dream wakes her up, and she's scared, wakes her up, she sits up in bed, and she finds that she's breathing a little bit shallow, her heart's thumping, she's scared, and while she's trying to gather her thoughts or whatever, she's

She hears a voice next to her, a male husky voice, whispering in her ear saying,

I'm never going to let you go. When she hears these words, her scare, her fright level just goes through the roof, and she goes and she reaches for her daughter, grabs her, she huddles into one corner of the room where the bed is at, and she says she was trying to yell out. At first she couldn't, but finally she's able to get her voice back, and she yells out for her mother,

the mother runs into the room, turns on the light, and she says, "What's going on? What's going on?" And she can't explain at that moment exactly what happened.

while the mother is trying to get out of her whatever is an issue, down the hallway in the living room, they start hearing something. And what it is is they have for the baby a little Tickle Me Elmo doll. And that doll, I remember also, would tickle his stomach or something and would start saying things, like the pull-the-string type dolls that would

that would talk. Well, anyways, from the living room, Tickle Me Elmo starts talking, saying, I feel fine, I feel fine, I feel fine. Something which we realized later that it wasn't part of his vocabulary, but they had programmed for him to say. So my girlfriend tells her mother, go turn that off, go turn that off.

So her mother heads out of the room, walks down the hallway. Her mother later told me that as she's walking down the hallway, she's feeling this, like, hand, if you will, pulling back on her, trying to, we figure, prevent her from getting to the living room where Elmo is talking to.

Her mother says that she fought through it, got to the living room, grabbed the doll, and she was looking frantically, while Elmo is talking, looking frantically to where the batteries are at because she had no idea how to turn it off. So she finds a cover.

Pulls the cover off, yanks out the batteries, but Elmo keeps talking for just a little bit more, saying the same thing, I feel fine, I feel fine, I feel fine. Eventually, he stops. Mother walks back to the bedroom. They're a religious family, and so she uttered a prayer, whipped out the Bible, and started reading some scriptures or whatever to, I guess, calm down.

calm her daughter down, calm my girlfriend down. And they were able to, after an hour or so of talking about it, whatever it was, they were able to get some sleep.

So that was the event that she experienced. And the funny thing is that we got married a few years after that, when our daughter was six years old. And we moved to Sacramento, to Elk Grove, California.

And the first house that we had was a house from scratch, like, you know, brand-new neighborhood, brand-new home. No one lived in there before. We were the first owners and came to a point where I did not like that house. I felt unsafe in that house. I felt like there was an eeriness about it that I just did not like. So...

We lost that house, but throughout our marriage we experienced a lot of it. It was like a very toxic marriage, as most marriages are. But ours was always filled with problems, trouble, hardly ever anything positive. We did our best and everything we could to make things better, but it was always one thing after the other.

Nothing out of malice or violence or nothing like that, but it was just a never-was-it emotionally safe marriage or household for any of us. And now, as I said in the first part, when I first called in, she's my ex-wife from divorce.

So we're divorced now, and like I was saying, through the years, we've experienced things on separate occasions. And I sometimes wonder if there was or is, I don't know, some sort of entity or just benevolent spirit or something that actually has been following her

For us? The fact that this voice told her, "I will never let you go."

And all the problems that we've faced, certain things that have happened to us that are unexplainable or are perhaps of a paranormal ambience, I don't know. I don't know if it is something that has attached to her to me, to us. But that is what happened to her a bit over 20 years ago.

It always gives me goosebumps since I first heard it, so every time I tell friends about it. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy. I love the show, although I am just coming to it right now. I was having a dream in the middle of the night. I don't know, it seemed something like a demon was trying to take over me. Sounds really weird. But I remember getting up in the middle of the night and I felt like I was in a dream state, but I know I was still walking. And I went into the bathroom and I looked into the mirror and I pointed to the mirror and

And I like jabbed the mirror with my finger and I said, you cannot get inside of me. And I just like said it very angrily. And then I walked back to bed and I went to sleep and I woke up the next morning and I was just super surprised as to what just happened.

You cannot get inside of me. Again, not the same, but similar. And that answers your question, Carissa. I have heard of something like that before, or at least similar. And now you have as well.

Now, if you were to ask me to explain it, I'd disappear faster than a squatch in a pine grove. Because I just don't know. But we do thank you, Carissa, for calling in.

Now if the previous caller, Caressa, wants yet another example of this phenomena, she's in luck. Because I have yet another queued up. And I don't mind saying that this next call is pretty intense. So prepare yourselves. Brian from Florida, welcome to the show.

Eric, it's me again. Brian from Florida. I have this one incident that really happened to me. After I started to believe, I told you other things before in the past. I believed after the fact that there are things, there's energies, there's all kinds of things, there's demons, whatever.

But one night, I was asleep after I came back from my tours in Afghanistan. And I was laying in bed. I had just bought a house. I was actually a civilian at the time. I'd gotten out of the military. I was a civilian. And...

I bought a house around the corner from where I was living from the other incidents. You may remember or may not remember from past stories, I don't. But one night I was asleep and I had, I guess it was sleep paralysis mixed with, I was actually attacked by what I believe is a demon. It actually attacked me around my throat, tried to enter my mouth.

I remember fighting it. I was asleep, but I was awake. And I was fighting this entity trying to enter me, to possess me. And I heard it arguing, not with me,

We were arguing with my God, what I believe in. And my God told him, which I believe in Christianity, it's a Christian thing. And my God said, you can't have him, he's mine. He will always be mine. He has issues. I heard my God even say, I have my own issues, but I belong to him.

And I fought this creature off from coming down my throat, and then it went away. I remember waking up being so sweaty, from head to toe was sweaty. My muscles felt so exhausted from wrestling with this powerful entity trying to enter my mouth. And I didn't believe in any of this stuff before I went to war in Afghanistan. And I'd been to two other conflicts before that.

But I would love to talk to somebody about it. I never get to vent my things or give my ideas to anybody. Thank you. Love the show. Thank you, Brian. Now, I agree, this does sound like sleep paralysis. Many of the signs are there. And I sure hope it was sleep paralysis. Because the thought of something like that actually happening in the real world is downright terrifying.

Thank you again, Brian, for sharing your tale. And here we are, folks, tonight's final entry. Now, admittedly, this one isn't exactly a possession story. But once you get into it, I think you'll see why it fits in here. Also, I ran out of possession calls and needed to fill the hour. So here with a wild one is James out of Texas. Hey, Derek. Good to talk to you. My name is James. I'm from Texas. I'm from Texas.

I'm not a big fan of paranormal. I don't really believe in it. However, I am a Christian and I believe in good and evil. And unfortunately, throughout my life, I've been plagued with being able to sense evil, knowing when it

surround and just everything on that end of it. But I first wanted to just tell you the story of how that started and just get your take on it. Whenever I was young, we go through a, in our church, we go through a class that's called a catechism class. It's confirmation where we learn everything about the Bible and we learn about the religion and about different beliefs and such. And

It's about a two-year course, and at the end, you do a big public examination in the church, and then you pronounce your faith, and you basically confirm that you are a Christian believer in that church. Well, after I did that—and again, this was when I was young, probably around 11, 12 years old—

The next night or right around there, within a week, I was laying in bed and I had a dream or a vision. I think these are more visions than dreams that I have had since then. But the vision was I was laying in the bed that I was laying in, and the way that the bed is oriented is different.

My head was against the wall and across from my bed, so basically straight across from where my head is, is our closet.

And I was laying in bed, and all of a sudden, the room lengthened, and it stretched out. Well, the closet all of a sudden turned into almost like a portal. And out of that portal came a person. I remember him pretty clearly.

Descriptively, he had a red plaid shirt, almost like suspenders. He was pretty far away, so I couldn't really make out a whole lot right away. But, you know, just...

He came out of this portal and he said, follow me. And, you know, I hesitated to say anything. So he said it again. He says, follow me. And so in my vision, I ended up following him. And

Then ended up, and this is weird, but old timey computers, you know, you have that blue screen where you have, you know, that old blue screen of a computer. I kind of was flying through this dimension, if you will, and was seeing all these different negative visions on both sides. So I had, you know, girls in bikinis that were tempting you. You had...

clowns, which I'm terrified of clowns, I've been for forever, that were laughing and cackling and, you know, calling out to you. But then all of a sudden, another figure came up beside me, and it was a person. And this person was very bright. So, you know, picture, I guess, an angel, if you will. And that angel grabbed me and said, hey, follow me. And so I

I grabbed a hold of his arm, and it was him. And we ended up landing on this ledge. It was kind of weird. And we ended up saying different phrases to these negative entities that were out there. And when we said it, these little green balls were coming out of our mouths, and they were hitting them and making them disappear and so forth and so on. And I went through this

Then we knocked out all of the negative entities out there. And the angel guy turned around, looked at me, and he says, congratulations, you made it. And all of a sudden I woke up. And a couple of days after that first vision, I ended up having another vision. And it started the same way. The room elongated. A man kind of came out.

of a portal across the room from me. This time he was a little bigger. He was dressed the same, but just a bigger form, if you will. Well, he started saying, James, follow me again. And I felt uneasy about it, very uneasy about it. And I said, no, I will not follow you. So he said it again, James, follow me. And I said again, no, I will not follow you.

He said it a third time, and he said, James, follow me. And at this time, I kind of felt that I felt the evil. I felt that this was not the same. So I said, Satan, get away from me. And he said, no.

And I said again, Satan, get away from me. And he yelled back, no. And that continued, I don't know how long, me just saying, get away from me. Finally, I said, I don't believe in you. You need to leave.

And he said no and kept going no, no. And the more he said it, the louder it got. And it seemed like the room was shortening at that time now. And he was getting closer, not moving, but just the room was shortening.

And he kept saying no and no and louder and louder started ringing my ears. And finally, when he got basically, I don't want to say at the foot of the bed, it was probably further away from there. I kind of woke up out of the daze. Like I said, it was...

I called a vision. He kind of woke up and my ears were still ringing from him saying no. I can still basically almost hear it in my ears and all the hairs on the back of my neck and my body were standing up. Since then, I've been able to now feel evil around. I can't say, and I'm not going to say I'm

sensitive or anything like that i don't necessarily believe in that but i feel it you can just feel evil when it's close by or in a room or in a building or or whatever and i just feel that evil presence so anyway again just wanted to share my story derek and again i appreciate the opportunity for this podcast and i'll keep listening have a good one thanks james so what do we think here folks

Was James tempted by aliens? Visited by ghosts? Maybe this was associated with his faith. Or as my imagination likes to spin it, he was part of some top secret government program where they would assess children they thought would fit their needs. They're sent through this little simulator to test their abilities. And if they pass, they get pushed further into the program.

Hi, Derek. I live in Mountain Home, Arkansas, just right south of the Missouri border. And I always grew up with my great-grandma telling me I was cursed by the devil. And, you know, I never believed that. You know, I had a rough childhood and all that. But it wasn't until recently that I found that there was a book of demons. And

And you know, I was sophomore year and I thought I'd take a look and just look it up and see what it was, you know? And so I looked it up on my phone and typed it in, went to the first page and started reading the first page. And then I got a text from a kid at my school that I'd never even talked to that said, "Read it out loud," two minutes after I finished that first page.

Thank you, caller. Now in my opinion, that's a terrible thing to tell a kid.

Granny better brought the receipts, as I noted earlier, because I'm not buying it. Now that said, it was a weird coincidence with the text, the book, the schoolmate.
