#19 In this episode I sit down with the wonderful Georgie Spurling (founder of GS Wellness). Georgie opens up about her journey from being advised by health experts not to exercise due to a heart condition, to running her own wellness and fitness company. She also explains the mind/body connection and the idea of shifting our primary mindset around exercise to focus on how we feel instead of how we look. We also discuss Georgie’s experience with burnout, her relationship with her body, how she works to manage FOMO, and her thoughts on diet culture. To end, we get into the importance of enjoying exercise, the fallacy around ‘quick fixes’, and the benefits of aiming for lifestyle changes rather than aesthetic changes.
