In this episode, I want to talk to you about what is stopping you from taking action in your business and your life. I have a feeling that most of you listening to this are stuck deciding what action to take, or you’re running from a specific action that you know you need to take. So this week I want to talk about three roadblocks that might be stopping you and how to overcome them.In today’s episode, we talk about:
- I have seen 3 common roadblocks to why people are not taking action.
- The first roadblock is because they are overthinking.
- You are worried it's the wrong decision, it's a mistake, etc.
- I have been there, I over-thought every single thing at one point, and then I did NOTHING.
- The second roadblock I see is perfectionism.
- Messy action is better than no action. It does not have to be perfect.
- When you want things perfect, it is a form of procrastination.
- Messy action still needs to move the needle.
- What you think is imperfect, other people are going to think is pretty darn perfect.
- The third roadblock stopping you from taking action is fear.
- The biggest fears I see in my students are; fear of failure, fear of the unknown, and fear of not knowing enough.
- Fear of failure: This is a normal fear. EVERYONE struggles with this. Failure is what is going to help you grow though. Failure is not really failure--- it just means something didn’t work.
- Fear of the unknown: I would encourage you to keep moving forward, you will figure it out. Take the leap of faith and keep going!
- Fear of not knowing enough: You don’t have to be an expert, you just have to take action and show up.
- Recognize these fears, look them straight in the face and tell them to “get behind” you.
- My challenge to you this week is to take action. A small action is still an action, so let’s do it, sister!
