When I started podcasting, an online store was the furthest thing from my mind. Now I'm selling my group coaching on the regular and it is just so easy all because I use Shopify.

Come on this journey with me. Each week when you join me, we are going to chase down our goals, overcome adversity, and set you up for a better tomorrow. I'm ready for my close-up. Hi, and welcome back. I'm so glad you're back here with me this week. Okay, so a lot going on. There's always a lot going on, I feel like. I mean, I feel like there's always a lot going on. I hope there's a lot going on for you. If there's not, whoa.

This means you need to spin something up, get something going on, make it go on, right? So we gotta make some things happen. So here's what's going on. I woke up July 14th and realized that in one month I would be turning 50, right? So my birthday is August 14th and 50 is a big birthday. It's so weird. It made me go back and reflect. This is why I love birthdays, right? Not only in the last year, but on the last decade,

Oh my gosh. I pulled up all the pictures from my 40th birthday party. It's funny because for my 40th, I had a huge birthday party. I rented out a big restaurant in South Beach. I had people that flew in from all around the country. It was so fun.

And I feel so different this year for 50. I feel like I don't need to do that big thing. I want to do something smaller. Recently, I had a really incredible Memorial Day weekend with just some of my best, best friends. We were out on a boat all weekend in a really nice resort. It was small. It was fun. There was no drama. I loved it. Right. So it's just different that at different times in your life, you might enjoy doing different things. I'm not knocking having a big 50th. One of my best friends just did that a couple months ago and it was super fun.

But I just don't feel like I want all the drama or all the, you know, arguing or all the complexity. So I don't know. Things change with time. And in one moment, something might serve you in another moment. It doesn't seem to make as much sense. And that's all good, right? Because we all evolve, grow and change. And that's all part of life. So I want to talk a little bit about what's happened over the last decade and how much your life can change. Gosh, your life can change so much in a day, in a month, right?

in a year, but looking at a decade, wow, it's so wild. And here's something important to remember. You can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking back, right? So for me today, it's so obvious when I look back on the last decade, I'm like, oh, of course that happened. But sitting at 40, I had no idea what was ahead of me. Because don't forget, when I was 40, I was still in corporate America. I

I had been in that same company for 14 years, right? I'd been doing the same job for 20 something years. And I really didn't think there was a potential for anything different to occur outside of that. I know how wild that is now that I'm sitting here with you on this podcast, which I've had now for five years. I didn't ever think I would be on the mic, right? My old job as chief revenue officer was to aggregate and sell all of the impressions and, uh,

that we had for different people being on the mic, right? So I completely changed what I had been doing. It just, it's so wild. I never even thought that was possible. So I want you to know this. Anything is possible in your life. Truly anything. Because I never would have imagined this would have been possible for me. There is limitless potential and possibility for you in the world. Okay, so at 40...

I had this big party. I was just going through that hamster wheel. Like I didn't like the woman that I worked with. I wasn't living up to my potential. It was kind of Groundhog Day, like at work, just the same, the same, the same. And interesting enough, I kept going back to the same relationship in my life, too. For years, I've been on and off with the same boyfriend.

and kept going back to that. There are a lot of parallels between your personal life and your business life is what I'm seeing now. When I started podcasting, an online store was the furthest thing from my mind. Now I'm selling all my digital courses and coaching on Shopify. It's so easy all because I use Shopify.

So, anyhow, I was on that proverbial hamster wheel at 40. At 41, basically the same. 42, basically the same. And then 43 is when everything changed. That's when I got fired. Right? So I really the first couple of years in my 40s, it was Groundhog Day. Not living my purpose, not living my passion, not living to my potential. 43, I got fired. 43, I got fired.

That started a domino effect that changed everything in my entire life. And so when I got fired, as you know, I had an 18 month non-compete non-solicit, which meant I had to start over somewhere as a rookie. And when I did that, the first thing I did was write my book. Thank you, Elvis Duran, for giving me that idea and speaking that truth and belief into me. That book trumped Donald Trump for number one on the business biography list. That moment was such a big deal for me because I remember thinking like, am I even allowed to be an author?

Like, can you just be an author? Is that a thing? I don't even know. But I Googled it. I really didn't know. And so that's like one of those imposter syndrome moments, which I've learned the only way you will ever be an imposter is if you decide to deliberately show up with someone different than you. I wrote that book. I was so proud of that book. But there was a lot of complexity and challenges even bringing that book to life, right? My mom didn't want me to do it. My sister, who's an attorney, told me I was going to get sued, right? So there were all these fears. By the way, I never got sued.

I just spoke truth. I didn't make anything up in that book, right? So I never got sued for it. And it's just interesting. All these fears, all these moments of worry are for not. When you look back on your life, and I challenge you to do this, look back and see all these things that you worried about. Did any of them ever come true? Probably not. I look back. I was so worried that I was going to get sued, that my mother was never going to talk to me again, that people were going to hate my book. That's not what happened. None of that happened.

right and so i was challenging myself recently about other things that i worry about to stop and say have any of these things ever actually happen really no it's so wild we spend so much time worrying about things that never occur so look in your life what are the things that you've been worrying about in the last decade in the last year have any of them actually come to fruition shouldn't that be sign or signal to stop worrying yeah we've got to discipline ourselves right okay so

that was 43 44 i wrote confidence creator that came out 45 i delivered my tedx 45 i launched this podcast right here then the pandemic hit that was a real pain and i launched my first group coaching program and then that landed me my board seat for health link my speaking blew up during the virtual time because i was able to give multiple speeches a day never leaving my house

at my condo in South Beach. And so my speaking took off. I was named top 40 female keynote speaker that year, which was incredible. My son went into a terrible depression that year. No sports, his dog died, virtual school. It was really bad. And I basically walked away from everything to take care of him. That was a very tough year.

However, beautiful things come out of tough seasons. And my son is stronger than ever now. He's a beast. I'm so proud of him. He's so close to God. He has an incredible relationship. And I think all that stemmed from that dark time, right? He had to go through this really low moment to take off and have this beautiful future that he's living now. So what a blessing. I'm so glad we're through the hard times. Hard times don't last, but they are challenging when you're in it, as you know, I'm sure. That was 2020. Yeah.

The next year, gosh, what happened the next year? Oh, I signed with HarperCollins Leadership. I wrote my second book, Overcome Your Villains. Then my speaking really started taking off and in-person speaking started coming back. Then I launched my first mastermind, which was incredible. And getting to see the transition in people's lives as a result of being on my team was just awesome.

Then I was named top 50 keynote speaker in the world. Then I started landing big international stages like leap in Saudi Arabia. I'm sure I've already told you this, but I just got hired back to speak again in February in Saudi. I can't wait. And back to being worried, I was panic stricken about going to Saudi Arabia. So many people got in my head about, it's so dangerous. You're going to go to the middle East. You're going to get kidnapped. You're going to get killed. And I was really concerned about it.

which is insane. I was actually, I didn't realize at the time I was a guest of the ministry. I was a guest of the Royal family. Hello. Yeah. I went to the palace. I became friends with the princess. I mean, this is literally like the movie Aladdin. It was so incredible. The people were so kind. People took such incredible care of me. My driver, my team out there all listened to Tupac and Biggie and all the same music that I listened to.

These guys would do anything for me. I have the greatest friends in Saudi Arabia now. It's just, it's so incredible. So now like anything, the second time you do something, it's so much easier than the first, right? Because the first you have fears, you have concerns. The second you're like, these are my peeps. This is my place. I'm going back to where I belong. Let's go.

The more you show up as that real version of you, the more you're going to attract those real people to you and you will find your people, but you've got to take the mask off. You've got to show up as you, you got to rock out to Biggie and Tupac if those are your peeps and they are certainly mine. So then I landed, oh my gosh, I'm sure you know this as well. I landed Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi stage this year, the biggest US stage I'd ever taken. Right? So all these incredible things have been happening for me. Now, granted, I'm,

Not all the things are easy and happen miraculously overnight, right? Like these are all years in the making and a lot of work. But what I do want you to know is when you start stepping into uncertainty, when you start stepping into the unknown, anything is possible. When I was back in corporate America on that hamster wheel, living a predictable life, I wasn't living to my potential.

And miraculous things weren't happening on the regular like they do now. So the more you start adopting this miracle mentality, the more miracles start coming into your life. The more you start stepping into more uncertainty, more possibility, the more incredible things start happening. Just another example of that is for 17 years, I lived in the same condo. I had it in South Beach, California.

And a couple of years ago, just made the decision to sell. And I was scared. I was like, what if I don't like where I'm going? What if not owning is a bad idea? And here I am two years later, I love where I live. I would have never thought, dreamt. I didn't even know where I lived existed before, right? Because I wasn't looking, I wasn't stepping into uncertainty and possibility. And now I'm so happy I've met the best people. I live in an incredible area. It's much easier for my son with school.

It's so beautiful. There's just so much good, right? So stepping into the unknown, stepping into the uncertainty, stepping into the possibility, trusting and having faith will always be the answer. So I just want you to know, I look back over the last nine years of my 40s as I'm about to turn 50, and I'm so proud of me. And I want you to be proud of you too. Okay, so I'm keeping this short and sweet today.

All right, but here's what I learned. And I should have known this, seeing as how I ran sales teams for 25 years in corporate America. One of the things I realized was my elite mastermind is an investment, right? Not only is it 11 months in duration, but it's a financial investment. So we had to

all these people, thousands of people reaching out, applying for the Elite Mastermind. The number one objection that I receive from people is either the duration, the length of time was too long and they couldn't commit for that long because of various things they had going on in their personal life or the financial investment was too much. So the first thing, our job when whenever we're selling someone something, right? Selling is helping. So it's our job to help people. We need to remove the barriers to entry. So the first thing I looked at was what are some payment options, payment programs I can come up with that can help people?

I found those solutions through this company called Affirm, right? Like so people could pay over a year, two years, three years, whatever would work best for them. I thought I had resolved the payment issue, but then still some people would say, it's just the dollar amounts too much to handle, Heather. I can't bite that amount off.

That's where I wish I had done this. Gosh, I wish I'd done this a couple of years ago when I started offering the elite mastermind was do a small micro program so that people could at least get some help, right? So for the people that a year or 11 months was too much, do a one month. So that's what I've created. And I'm sharing it with you first. I have not shared it anywhere else yet. I will be sharing it on social media, but I'm doing it for my 50th birthday month for the month of August.

For all of the people out there that they wanted to get into the mastermind, they want to be a part of a team of like-minded people. They want to elevate their confidence, achieve their goals. They want to be held accountable and they want impact and change. I want to help you too. So I'm going to do a four week program. It's just for the month of August.

I haven't done this since the pandemic. I'm so psyched to do it. We had thousands of people reaching out and so many said the time commitment and the dollar amount was too much. So this is the smallest, least expensive group program I'm ever going to do. It's the month of August to celebrate by 50th. My birthday is about giving back to you. We are going to celebrate together. I'm going to hold you accountable. We're going to meet every

each week on Zoom as a team, we are going to conquer your fears. We're going to step into the unknown and achieve your goals with confidence. Your girl's got you on this. And this is the least expensive way to do it. I'm offering the program at 50% off what I offered it at before, which literally boils down to a couple hundred dollars a week. So right now it's 50% off.

There are limited spots available. It is for my birthday month. I am telling you, it is going to be so supercharged, so fricking impactful. You're going to achieve your goals. You're going to reach for more than you've ever gone for before. And I'm going to do it with you. And I can't wait. So click the show notes.

click the link in the show notes below. There's two spots left for my mastermind. That's the elite mastermind. That's 11 months. And then there's my micro program. It's for four weeks. It's for the month of August. It's going to celebrate my birthday with you. It's going to celebrate you and it's going to challenge you to go for more, for more confidence, more potential and step into more fear on the regular so you could achieve your goals. And I'm going to be doing it with you just for the month of August. Oh yeah, Giddy up. We're turning 50 together and I can't wait. Keep creating your confidence until next week. You know, I will be too.

I'm on this journey with me.
