And yeah, I'm just happy to have you with me today wherever you are in the world and whatever time it may be.

So for today's topic, we're going to be talking about something really requested. I did an Instagram little like Q&A section a couple weeks ago about what topics you guys want to see. And this is a topic that has been requested a lot, even through my TikTok. So I thought, why not make a whole podcast episode about it? I think it's really, really helpful to

and it can be used as wisdom for empowerment. So today we're going to be talking about the difference of intuition and anxiety. So a lot of the time what happens when we're first starting to work with and honor our intuition is we feel this tight pull between, oh my God, is this intuition or am I just experiencing anxiety? Am I just operating from a state of fear?

So I hope that this episode kind of provides you a step-by-step guide that will help you when you're tapping into your own intuition to ask yourself and differentiate whether or not this is actually your inner compass and your inner wisdom, or are you operating from a place of fear or strong emotions? So the way that I like to explain it is intuition is something that feels neutral. It's

And that is honestly the biggest telltale sign between intuition and anxiety. Anxiety is very emotionally charged. So you will either experience very strong emotions like fear, worry, stress, sadness, anxiousness. And that is like the big sign that I would say the big distinter right away to know, oh, is this my intuition or is this my anxiety? Now, this is where it kind of like the

the tip of the iceberg gets a little tricky because when you start not listening to your intuition, your intuition can start feeling. It's not anxiety, but it could start feeling like anxiety because the less you honor it, the stronger it gets. And then it makes you feel anxious because when it first comes in, intuition, it's more like a neutral thing.

thought, a neutral idea, a neutral feeling. So let me give you an example. Let's say you're out at some function, event, or party.

And then suddenly you just get this thought or this feeling like, I'm kind of tired. Like, maybe I should go home. You're in a good mood. You just feel like you should go home. You're not vibing. But you decide to ignore that feeling because you're saying, okay, all my friends are still here. All my family is still here. Or maybe you're in a people-pleasing state and you don't want to leave early. You don't want to look rude. And you're not honoring yourself and your intuition, right?

So usually what will happen is your intuition will start getting stronger and stronger and then you'll start feeling anxious. So you'll start feeling like maybe I shouldn't be here. This situation is uncomfortable. I really want to go home. And then your intuition will get louder and louder and louder and it will start feeling like anxiety.

which is why I really want to emphasize that your intuition is a tool. It's a resource. It's something that is meant to serve you. So the more you ignore it, like there's no point to ignore your intuition. And I know a lot of times you're like, okay, I don't know if this is intuition or anxiety, but deep down, you know, in your heart, you know, in your gut feeling when something is off or it could be something good to intuition doesn't have to be negatively connotated. It could also be positive intuition, right?

But you know deep down if something feels aligned for you. You know deep down what something feels like intuitively. But when you honor your intuition, it's like a muscle. You want to work that muscle and get it stronger. So the more you use it and the more you

honor it, the stronger your intuition will get. And then you will start being able to tell how your intuition shows up in your life because intuition can show up differently for different people. If you're someone who's just starting working with your intuition and you want to start learning how to differentiate it with anxiety,

I recommend doing baby steps because it's really different like listening to your intuition in like a chaotic situation where there's a lot of pressure or external sources and then seeing, oh my God, where is this thought or feeling or gut instinct coming from? But if you started working with your intuition, baby steps, like something that is not very emotionally charged, like just like, I don't know if you've ever been on TikTok, there's a bunch of those like intuition tests

Those are always fun to try and those like work that muscle and allow you to be the creatrix of your life and to become conscious of your own feelings, of your own gut instincts and connect back to your inner wisdom. What I love most about intuition is that it connects all of us on a deep level, like beyond surface level. So if you've ever had like a gut feeling,

feeling like, oh my God, I'm meant to be this person's friend or I should go talk to that person and they turn out to be your romantic partner or your future boss. It's just so interesting how when you start listening to your intuition and honoring it, it opens up such a great door of opportunities that you may have

been limiting yourself from when you have been ignoring your intuition. So I think that's the biggest thing that I want you to take away from this episode is that intuition is a tool that is meant to serve you. It's not something that is going against you. You have to look at it as this gift from the universe that you have been given that allows you to connect to your higher self, that allows you to connect to your heart, to your instincts, to your gut. And that is something so amazing.

And if you're listening and you're a woman, actually, what's actually really interesting is your intuition really aligns with your cycle. I'll dive deep a little bit on that. So if you are on your period, like days that you are bleeding and menstruating, that is the days of your cycle that your intuition is at a peak.

It's when you are feeling most intuitive, most connected to your body and intuition, like womanly intuition stems from the womb. So when you are bleeding, you're experiencing like this death. You're experiencing this new regeneration, this new beginning, this transformation, reborn, rebirth.

And that allows your intuition to become so much stronger. So if you've ever felt like you were maybe more sensitive or just like more emotional on your period, that is highly connected to your intuition. It's because you are more sensitive to other people's energies. You are more connected to your divine feminine energy, to your inner energy.

wisdom and that is something so amazing and if you can take that and capitalize on that and I don't think capitalize is the right word in this but maybe alchemize this power that you have and use it for your highest good so taking days to tune into your body tune into your mind tune into your soul during your cycle during your menstruation and asking yourself what does my gut really want

What does my intuition really want? And what's even funnier, guys, like this is kind of TMI, but I got my period last night and I just got this. Like I woke up this morning. I film podcasts every Friday morning and I just got this idea to talk about intuition versus anxiety. And it's something really interesting that I find. It's because when I'm on my period,

I don't feel very creative to the extent where I get a bunch of new ideas coming to me. That usually happens to me after the period during the ovulation phase and the follicular phase where I'm feeling more creative and more inspired and more tapped into that power.

But when I'm on my period, I'm feeling more intuitive. And so filming this episode just feels so free flowing and so natural to me because this episode is asking me to tap into my own intuition, which I just think is funny. I also want to tap back into the anxiety portion of this because I think what happens, a lot of us experience anxiety and we think it's intuition and it's because we're

When we feel anxiety, it does stem from like the gut. You feel it in your stomach, you feel it in your heart. So it's easy to mix it up and think that that's your intuition. But anxiety is always, always, always very strongly emotionally charged. It will inflict some form of emotion in you. And when intuition comes in, it's something that comes in like from the divine, the universe, whatever you want to call it, whatever resonates with you.

But it's something that comes within deep inside yourself, within your higher self, from your heart. And so when that information, that wisdom comes in, it's not emotionally charged. It's very neutral. And it's just something like a piece of information that it's like more like the universe is telling you, do with this info what you will.

but if something is really not in alignment for you or if something is really really in alignment for you but you're missing it because you're not honoring your intuition the universe will do everything in its power to steer you in the right direction and that is kind of where free will meets fate divine intervention if something is not meant for you at all and you're missing the point or if something is really meant for you and you're missing the point the universe will intervene by making your intuition

feel much stronger, much more powerful, and then that can show up as anxiety to the point where you can't ignore it. Like you will not be able to ignore your intuition anymore if something is very important and the universe is like screaming at you.

So this is why I think it's so important to start honoring your intuition right when it comes in, when it comes in from a place of neutrality. Because when we ignore it, it just gets stronger and stronger and stronger, and then it starts getting all confusing because we start doubting ourselves, we start getting into a place of lack, and start thinking, oh, is this just my anxiety? And it's because we get anxious when we don't listen to our intuition and our gut. And that is why it's so important to listen to it

right when it comes in. I think a lot of us tend to gaslight ourselves, like our egos come in and we tend to, you know, make ourselves feel guilty or gaslight ourselves into thinking that that's not our intuition. But I want to invite you that every time you feel an intuitive hunch or feeling or thought in your head to ask yourself where it's stemming from and how it's meant to serve you. Instead of going first into the guilt tripping of yourself into the ego mindset of thinking,

oh my God, like this isn't even true, blah, blah, blah, all these things that we usually tend ourselves, I wanna invite you to choose a different path. And when you feel that instant coming and ask yourself, like, where is this coming from? How is this meant to help me, to serve me, to guide me? And how can I use this information to,

And alchemize it into my own power and into changing my own life. And I think another thing that really helped me that I want to give you guys a little tip on is doing intuitive journaling. So what I would do is I would just like ask, I would take a piece of paper and I would write down a question that intuitively like I felt like I needed to answer.

And this really asks you to tap into your heart and into your gut at the beginning because you must ask yourself like what is meant to guide me right now? What is meant to serve me? What question will assist me in this moment? And when you come up with that question and write it down on your piece of paper and then tap into your heart, put your hand over your heart, start tapping into your intuition and write down your answer from an intuitive place. Just let your pen kind of lead.

But I really like this exercise because it asks you to tap into your own intuition before the intuition comes in. It's an exercise that allows you to tap into your gut, to tap into your heart, to tap into your third eye. And it's something very beautiful that I like to do every once in a while, especially like on my period.

Because it allows me to connect with my inner wisdom. And when you connect with your inner wisdom, you connect with a power that lives within you, with a strength like no other, that will change your life. If you start honoring your intuition, this inner guidance will allow you to open so many different doors of opportunities and possibilities.

because it is your higher self. It's steering you in the most aligned direction. And what's better than that? Like you are so lucky. We are also lucky that we have this gift and this inner wisdom that we can use and tap into whenever we like.
