Apple confirms new Macs are coming

While apple is planning its first in for max for next week, that momentum is set to Carry over to twenty twenty five. Bloomberg reports that apple will unveil a new macbook air powered by the in for chip in early twenty twenty five.

While the timeline for an updated max studio has slipped to the second quarter of the year, bloomberg says the m four macbook air will be available in the same thirteenth and fifteenth horn factors as the current model and will look similar to the current design. The current macbook air design was first introduced in july twenty twenty two with the m two chip and was updated with the m three chip in march of twenty twenty three. The new infor macbook air is scheduled to arrive after a december software update to macco s, which means it's likely to be released between january and ch.

Mass production is therefore is set to begin soon. The report also notes that apple had initially planned e to release a new inform a studio around that same time frame, but that machine is now more likely to come after a march software update. So putting its day.

But somewhere between march and june, a new mac pro is also still in the works with the in for chip. And finally, blomberg says apple is also still planning to launch a new iphone S E, updated ipad air and upgraded ipad keyboards during that same spring product. Really cycle next up today.

Yesterday, we talked about all of the new features and I O S eighteen point two and including the next batch of apple intelligence updates. One thing we didn't touch on is that thanks to the integration with ChatGPT, you can now ask theory for details about what you're saying on your iphone screen. With ChatGPT integrated with theory, apples virtual system uses OpenAI to answer complex questions, but because you can also read the screen of your iphone, you can simple you theory to say something like where is this or what building is in that photo.

Siri will then take a screen shot of your iphone and update IT to ChatGPT, which is able to understand the context and use its database to provide an answer. And of course, for privacy reasons, siri always asks for permission before capturing a screen shot of your device and sending you to ChatGPT. The feature is particularly interesting for those who don't have an iphone sixteen, which is the only device so far to get visual intelligence, thanks to the camera control.

So this means that if you are an iphone fifteen pro or a compatible ipad, you can simply take a photo, then ask siri and ChatGPT whatever you want. And of course, it's worth remembering that further into the future, apple is working on its own on screen awareness features for theory using apple intelligence language models. But that feature won't come until a future software update to IOS, likely sometime in twenty twenty five.

While it's not an event, apple has officially confirmed that next week will be an exciting week of announcements starting on monday morning. The teaser was posted to social media by apple's marketing vice president greg jozwiak, who said, quote mac, your calendars. We have an exciting week of announcements ahead starting on monday morning.

Stay tuned. Quote, the announcements are expected to focus on the mac and apple transition to the m four, but there are no other details provided on what exact form next week's announcements will take. We'd expect a series of press releases over the course of the perhaps with a few accompanying videos, we will have to wait and see for sure.

But apple has also invited select creators to an in person hands on event in los Angeles on wednesday. As for what to expect next week, we've already gotten a great look at the new fourteenth macbook pro with in four. The base model is expected to start with sixteen gigabits of rain for the first time and include three thero four ports and upgrade from three ports on the base in three model were also expecting upgraded higher, and four teenage and six teenaged macbook pro models with the m four pro and m four max chips inside.

In addition to the macbook pro, apple is also prepping an upgrade to the twenty four inch imac. Currently, the imac is powered by the m three and is expected to get an upgrade to the m four. The new twenty foreign mac could also featured an upgraded sixteen gigabits of a amp starting point and two additional CPU course, just like the base in for macbook pro.

Finally, and perhaps most notably, the mac mini will get a dramatic refresh this month in addition to new configurations with the m4 and m four pro， the make many will get its biggest redesign in years that makes IT far smaller than its predecessor. Apple is also likely once again to tell to the investments of apple intelligence, and hopefully this time around will also get U, S, B, C accessories for the magic track pad, magic keyboard and magic mouse again. All of these announcements are expected to start on monday and run through multiple days.
