That is twenty point eight percent of the new car market will go twenty one percent as an increase on septembers twenty point seven percent, but it's slightly down on the highest we've had, which is a twenty three percent share.
These numbers suggest that the cassette could be poised to meet the increasing sales targets for zero emissions vehicles, countering concerns about decline in evy sales. When this first came in at the beginning of the year and even before then, many of the car makers were saying we can't hit twenty two percent eee sales in the U. K.
IT. Simply can't be done. As the years gone on, we've seen some of the car makers, particular ford, started off the year very, very low since launching the explosion, since launching the copy as well.
And although some of the car makers will hit IT and some want actually looking like the politicians getting involved in setting those targets, well, you know, I might just be working. In october, the U. K.
S. New car market was actually down six percent, one hundred and forty four thousand new vehicles, right? Had to give you A A bit of context on the size of our car market here.
According to the society of motor manufacturers and traders, it's the second decline this year as business is fleet and even private buys register about ten thousand few of vehicles. The decline largely stemmed from substantial drops in petrol and diesel. Now petrol was down in october fourteen percent, and disease down two point five percent.
wow. Batter electric vehicles were the only segment to grow. Blacking hybrids was down in the U.
K. Battery o. Electric vehicles were up in october twenty four point five percent. U. K. Consumers now have access to one hundred and twenty five different pure B, E, V models. That's up about forty percent over the course of this year.

The luxury evs is more profit in those, but now it's about selling as many evs as possible. And we are at tipping point right now. And so we are about so we enter the face in twenty twenty four where some of the car makers have had to take a hit on their profit to reduce the Price of evs to sell more.
Or you're going to end up spending a bunch of money on fines to the U. K. government. And year on my land, euro, with in the eupeptic on at least a bunch on fines missing the C O. Two targets.
All you'll be doing deals with the pure review makers to buy credits from the likes of tesla. So this is looking like it's maybe kind of signifying that this phase of the evy adoption curve, which i've been talking about since two thousand eighteen, is gonna be benefiting smaller, cheaper, lit, more affordable electric vehicles. fascinating. I just to wrap up on this story.

Now we've gone to from the U. K. To the nordics, and let's go to sweden next. A much smaller car market, of course. But in october, the numbers are coming in now.
And this report from clean technique points out that evs plugin cars were sixty two point two percent of the automotive market in sweden, less often sixty percent the same month last year. Despite the growth in the market year, battery electric vehicles BBS were down slightly, plug in hybrids making up the difference. In sweden, BBS were thirty five point one percent of new vehicle sales and plug in hybrid d twenty seven.
So even though bebb were still significantly more, they were down. Slightly by about six hundred cars in october based on the same month last year was pugin. Hybrids were up.

There will be in time, but it's a bit a fellow period, not quite jack your land over fellow period, but they got nothing on sale of the minute. But but still an interesting one to watch. But you the way market data indicates the company has ten days worth of cyber truck orders hungry, but there were two million people waiting in line, but it's hard to determine the exact number of orders in the cube. But the rapid delivery times indicate there are being a backlog in the situation. Contract sharply with the previous expectations.
Even if you pre order of the psychology, you'll be waiting until at least twenty twenty seven. Now we are a year into production.
