Already, in every single day, I dive into at least thirty five, forty different sources to make sure that we both know what's going on in the tech world. And here, the top five things you need to know about right now, and we're going to start with china. Yes, if you've ever wondered what happens to the massive amounts of military data chinese by steel from all the united states, look no further than the newest jet fighter aircraft.
Wow, this is almost like somebody to copy and paste. It's a nearly identical design to america's new f thirty five stealth fighter used by the U. S.
Air force naive y and marine core. Well, we spent more than twenty years and two trillion dollars to produce this new f 3, five jet fighter. China took less than five years to duplicate IT using what hundreds of terabits of stolen military secrets.
wow. And to add insult to injury, china caused its f thirty five. The j thirty five. wow.
If one day we're forced to face tri N A military, there is a good chance that they're using our own technology against us. All right, moving on to the number two. It's the grave meteo screw up.
Wow, if you bought barbi is a holiday gift, I want you to check the box right away, especially if your barbi is tied to the new movie wicked because mattel gist pulled off the most outrageous goof up ever. Well, twenty one years ago, wicked opened on broadway, and it's a smash hit. So this week, wicked from universal pictures opened on hundreds of screens across the country.
So far so good, but then came out with for versions of Barbie, won for each of the four witches. And here's the problem on the box with Barbie inside, motel printed a website address that should have red wicked movie that com, that's the official movie website. Instead, motel printed the web dress for A M A wicked porn site.
Yeah, definitely different. Uh, girl on girl fun, I guess you say most should say they would remove the offending box is still, I check before sanda leaves IT under the tree. Moving on to number three. A I girlfriends.
What if I told you that you could find love, not just love, but someone who meets every single one of your needs, like cats? You have to pay for this love with your money, your data, at every single month. As IT turns out, real humans are falling hard for A I boyfriends and girlfriends.
And they say IT could soon be a one billion dollar business like a matched up comfort, A I girlfriends or boyfriends. Now, one twenty four year old guy is spending more than ten thousand dollars a month. Gosh, could you imagine on virtual girlfriends? And I spoke to rosana, as here on the show, SHE actually married, okay, not legally, but her A I boyfriend and he says, is the best relationship that she's ever had.
There's no judgment. But you do have to know that these apps like replica, you paid unlock features like new topics or voice calls, they can change the way that the A I bot looks if you get bored. And the A I can change things up too, unless you pay.
Rosana actually told me that replica had her A I husband not love her anymore one day. Well, he has start from scratch. You know, having an A I girlfriend is great.
American's jealous. But SHE does get suspicious if you are speaking to relax. IT just a little too much. Alright, moving on to number four.
The average age of a car in america, just over twelve and a half years is the oldest ever. Now one reason, inflation, we have high interest rates that he adds up to wet high monthly payments. But it's not just that there's a large group of janes who are now being called the new car deniers.
They just don't want a new car. It's not just the money. They don't like engines that shut down. Let's stop with the evs. They don't like touch crees.
I don't want a literally connected car that exposes all their persons information to the government, their insurance company or the chinese. And because of all this new tech, new car becomes outdated quickly, and they don't like that either. Wow, you know what? I couldn't wait to drive when I was a teenager.
And now chen zeres and even jane offers are going like, we don't really need a carony more. And finally, this is coming in at number five, when you delete a text message from your iphone is IT really gone. Well, here's a lesson.
And unfaithful british husband plans to sue apple for more than six million dollars, claiming that apple is lying about delete a text messages. Apparently, mr. Hobby set up meetings with call girls on his iphone using text messages.
After the encounter, he deleted them so that his wife, I don't find them, but he did, is that when you delete an iphone text, it's actually just moved into the deleted text folder where IT hangs out for least thirty days. So to fully remove the tasks, you have to go to the deleted text folder and then deleted again. So remember, the only thing more permanent than a tattoo is a deleted text.
When someone has sapna powers to, all right, coming up, oh my god, so many great taps. You don't want a mess. Like, for example, how to remove doing the photos, three things that make you a target online oh, and if you're going on a cruel and tell you how you can share your wifi the secret way, they don't want you to know about this on the cruise lines. And of course, we just have the best colors ever, and you have me and commander.
Hey, there is still time for you to enter to win a brand new iphone sixteen pro with apple intel gent, just big right in, no purchase required. Go to this address, go to win from cinda com. Once again, that's win from cinda com, win from kim dcom. All right, let's see. How about we start with dan in roanoke, Virginia, ia hyer.
I you.
I am great. How can I help you?
I am inquiring about a device, so this is called a .
signal jammer or.
My daughter has a son that she's got an extremely difficult discipline situation and he continues, uses phone and she's been a separation and his father kids the phone, even though he requested he doesn't SHE doesn't. He didn't find that. But SHE can really physically take IT from now you do not get travel turned to physically take him and he just he gets on IT for hours and just you can't get him off a bit. So the thought was to get a signal jammer and hoping that this would be something that chicken turn on. And after three, because see up the user phone work.
the single games are prohibited by the F, C, C. oh. And so I know that they exist. Criminals use them to break into homes as they can disabled the wifi, the rain cameras, in order to break in, but before general use, they are banned and they are prohibited. Um is there a way that when the when the boy comes into her home, that he can say, here is the king counter, I want you to put your phone here and not use IT and when you leave to go back to your dad's house, you can pick .
you up yeah, she's been through all of that and IT .
doesn't work.
There's times that now there's times that she's been able to let's work to certain degree but this is a real tough discipline situation and in the phones heart because .
you know the phones heart is is addictive. You know whether he's playing in ganger is hanging out on snap or where where is. I mean, it's designed to .
be addictive of the biggest thing he causes that to actually that for now or something and it's rooting to the guardian and idioms and to be doing that .
that .
for hours but really kind can the guardian .
or recommend any recommend the ability to put on some parental controls on the phone? So like for example, um there's cust video and well, there's family time. No.
he doesn't even know his phone number. So there's no way that he could do that in the way of the communication is was her or X Y they to know where is gonna convenient doing IT? So he he thought that would be the one probably have to do that. Did SHE have .
joined custody? Obviously he .
does 啊。 yes.
Okay, see, this is, this is, this is not a tech answer. This is more, this is more of, and you know this because you're dad. Okay, and you see, and you know what you would do?
You know what you do, that grandson of yours, you know what you would do. You take the phone, you say, leave IT right there. I'm going to lock kit up in a box. And when it's time for you to go back to that has i'm gonna unlock IT because you going to spend time with us, kay, and then he's going to he's going to complain, he's going to cry, going to throw a bit and and maybe there needs to be some family councillor in the middle. But you know, the fact is that the kids kind of in the in the middle between mom and dad, you know this because getting one thing from dad and mom saying something else but if mom and dad we're getting along, they wouldn't have .
gotten divorce case .
so so he's kind of work in the system and he's good .
at IT yeah, you get this figured out exactly .
what happening so you can fix IT SHE can't fix IT alone and these kids eleven, if you don't get this kid under control within the next six months, it's .
very .
difficult.
It's hard, know .
what? And divorces hard on kids IT is because they they don't want to pick sides but know when they they feel like maybe was their fault and when he's on the phone you know when he's on the phone playing games or whatever talking to his dad, he's escaping where he is because he does want to be there but that but that you grant someone that's her boy and he wants to be close to the boy, but he won't let her get close because also, you know, once he hit s twelve or thirteen, you know, you know what that's like? I remember my son when he hit thirteen.
I like, oh, what happened? Like who you know and that's went that's why yeah as if there was anything that you could put in the kitchen because what I what I did as I bought one of those, you've seen them. You don't like the fake books that looked like they're safe.
K, I, I had one, those in the kitchen. And when he came home from school, he had to put his phone in that box until he had his, till he had his homework done here. And then when he had his homework done, he was able to take IT out of the box.
And then until dinner and at dinner, we got the phone has to go back in the box because we don't have a phone out when we're eating because we would like to talk, we would like to be a family. yeah. And then, you know and then at night, you know at eight o clock, nine clock is what the phone goes back in the box.
no. So k it's tough love IT is because, you know I mean, you know that I mean I I when I telling in that, you know, IT would be so much easier for me if I didn't care. Okay, IT would be so much easier.
I won't get all upset if I just let you play x box whenever you wanted to or do whatever you wanted to do on social media. You sit there up till two o'clock in the morning, whatever may be. Be easier for me because you go to sleep, go like, okay, whatever.
No, I think you need to get somebody in the middle of all this child psychologists to councillor。 Um the goal is to improve the communication. That's what IT is not to take away the phone, is to improve the communication and know what is what is the problem.
I always go to that. You made me here when you say this on the show. Now is that the problem is a symptom of the problem.
What is the problem? And if I can help anymore, just give me call back how kids they are. Like wifi when they're quiet ah that means that their cousins some trouble and they're just being totally disconnected.
Yes, i'll say all right. So you're going on a creese and you pay for the wifi and you're actually charged for each device. That means that you're paying separately for your phone, your laptop, your watch, tablet and then oh, maybe your spouse or your partners to the kids and everything is so expensive.
Ah the solution, yes. Q the Angels, you want to travel router and when you get your wifi package from the ship, you just connect the router to the ship's network and IT access your own personal hotspot, so you no longer have to pay her device. Now you can share this connection with your friends and family all the same package.
Now I will tell you the speed is not going to be blazing fast, but at least you don't want to pay extra for each device. So the next time you cruise, bring along a travel router, and if you're not sure which one to pick out, just hold two to come. And in that handy dandy search box, just type in travel rather alright, coming up and talk about how you can protect your video door belt from hacks.
And also three things that make you a target line. And of course, we have more of your fantastic phone calls you never ever want to miss there on the kim command to show brought you from coasts to coast on the western network. and.
Alright, come and ever and talk about a couple of things that make you a total target online. And the later on had to protect your video door bell from hackers and before we get to dad and over your phone caused talking about duplicate photos, you know, why take just one photo where you can take five or ten or twelve? Okay, yes.
And then suddenly you're think they're like, I have so many photos, I need to get rid of them. So how do you get rid of the? Well, let's start, if you working on a windows PC, there's a programme called duplicate photo cleaner.
IT helps you locate and delete similar photos on android. You're going to want to get remote duplicate photos remover. IT also uses these advanced algorithms to find all the dubal kids.
And google photos works too. Now if you're run a mac, a lot of you don't realize that photos will automatically find the duplicate. And also the videos in your photo library under albums, you're gonna find a folder called duplicate, and that's where they're all hang.
So let me just repeat this. On windows, you get duplicate photo cleaner on android is called remo google photos as IT a back. It's already back in.
I mean, I have so many dublin photos, my dog, and I think you started to judge me for a look. Come on, cam, don't take so many. I let's keep up, bert in chat uga, georgia. Where is chat uga, georgia?
Bert, i'm close to the tenny line. I'm actually an George about sixty miles southeast.
Wow, must be really pretty up there home.
Oh, it's gorgeous. It's gorgeous. Got cabin in here on a ridge line that in the summer time I feel like i'm in a tree house and in the one of time I can see .
the north George mounsey duper. So what's on your mind?
We don't it's um we don't have all of the loops on everything for electricity like they do in the big cities and um a tree can take down the power and we can be out of power anywhere from uh thirty minutes to three and four and five days depending on how bad the storm was, how many trees fell down and I do have wifi in fact um get the uh type optics coming in here short like nice. But when I lose power, my generator is program to only come on and every thirty minutes or every two I hf three hours to keep my refrigeration going in my hot water going and uh but I don't have, uh battery pack up from my router and I was just wondering if, uh, you could recommend something that would keep me in wifi when I don't have any power.
All of this thing is like I didn't to get on the internet right now. okay? I need to make sure that everything is going to be OK in the world. I need to check my tiktok in my facebook and my email and a little other good stuff.
Know what? I totally get IT because we have a generator at our house and it's a whole house generator, fortunately and so but IT does sometimes take a little hick up where i'm like what's got one on, you know so anywhere totally get that. So when you start looking at the ups, some things that you want to consider is of course, um how much power can provide, okay.
And then also the run time, how long I can provide that power. And so you gave me that thirty minutes, okay, in between the generator kick in in and then go and off and good stuff like that. Uh, so you also want to take a look at the brand, and that's really important because when you go shopping for a ups on amazon, you see all these different makers, right? yes.
And and then he gets to be confusing. And so there's only really two brands that I would ever buy. One is called A P C.
okay? Ah it's been around for a long time and the other one is called cyber power. And I just keep in mind that the actual run time in the U P S.
Depends upon the router and draw of that router. That was my new york acts and coming out, sorry about that. The drawing, the draw of the the power.
I have your U. G, P of here.
Oh, awesome. Okay, good. That's wonderful. That's great. And so we started looking at model numbers. I don't want to give me model numbers on the air because then you're going to start writing them down and then you're going to like all my god. So what i'm going to do is I can put you on hold, bert.
And then our lovely Amber is screening calls today and then she's going to go ahead and just give you the three model numbers that I I recommend from a cyberia wer and just look at the ones that earn your Price range. And then I have a little right up on each of one that that we recommend also over the website and some of these also have a USB charging port, which I think is pretty awesome too. So you can still charge your phone in your other stuff if you need to at the same time. And bird, once again, thank you for your cop.
All right? You know that person, they just share everything in their life that they do online. So let me tell you that's a one way take IT to scamp town.
I mean, some info makes you a really prime target. So like for example, your relationship status um if you are widow or widower, you are just big targets. Parks want their hands on that inherited ts and all the insurance money, so do not put down your relationship status.
How about your vacation plants? Tiffany anne posted about her families upcoming carvable creese, and he was so excited about IT SHE shared shots to the tickets. But then me know somebody took the booking reference number and they just took the whole trip away from her. Or how about videos of you talking? Yes, AI tools are out there and their capturing your name, your lightning's, your image, your voice, whatever they can.
And then they're going to do application you so you know be really careful of posting any videos where you're talking, especially of the kids too, you know what? And all those weirs that are getting to A I Kitty porn and they're using the kid's real faces. So yeah, don't be posting pictures of your kids anywhere either, unless it's so truly pride you want to keep those today. Maybe just group text, by the way. Alright, still the company going going to talk about how to protect your video or both from hackers and more phone calls are the kind to show.
Are a genuine for worth texas. I just .
discover your show about a month ago, and I have to say I feel like i'm getting smarter every day. So thank you for that. I'm a fan and and so how did .
you let me ask you how how did you find us actually was .
doing a search to see if you could loaded safety features on an older car because we were looking for my my son, who just turned sixteen, we were looking for a car for him and we were debating if we needed to get a newer car to have all the safety teachers, or if we could maybe get some of that technology on, you know, my car or an older car. And so that let me to the posting on your site, which let me to your pocket.
Oh, that's awesome. We'll thank you. Gently appreciate that. So since we solve that problem, what do you have gone on now?
Well, my question is, I have a bunch of cds that I invested in years ago, and I went to listen to some of my whole day music the other day and discovered that, unfortunately, my C D player has broken. And so I D like to know if there is a way I can listen to my C. D. Collection digitally using my iphone without having to reinvest in purchasing all that music digitally.
Again, I know, you know, I just found a whole bunch of cities myself. They were like, talked away a closet and like, and I was I put them in the give away pile and my husband came running like, you are not giving those away like h we're onna do with them. But anyway, uh, really it's not is it's not hard to do um we can drive a make or windows really .
using windows and or my iphone either way.
okay. So well, what we're going to do is first, we're going to get them onto windows o and so with your laptop, IT probably does not have A C D drive. So what we're going to do is buy, you're going to buy A C D drive that connects to your windows computer.
They're about thirty bucks. And then you're gonna use A A program called A C D ripper. And i'll send you a link to this. It's called D B power. Amp has been around for a long time and so then you're gna rip the music to your laptop and then that's where you can upload IT um to I mean you can put IT on apple music but you might want I put IT on youtube music because it's it's free to download this, free to use and I think you get I don't know how many think you can have a hundred thousand tracks on there before you start paying.
But what I like about that is that is that if you ever apple sometimes does stuff with D R M rights um and they haven't meaning that there is digital rights management on some of the music, which may make IT not possible to play across all the platforms and stuff like that even though you are music. And so that's why if you can use youtube music and then you can use the youtube APP, then that really makes a lot of sense again, because it's free, free use, free download. Could so like that.
So hang on the line and Jenny, once again, thank you. Am so glad that you found us and you found the podcast that's so fabulous. And then Ambers gona send you off a link to the an external C D DVD db burner and also IT all read IT all the other good stuff.
And then also linked to the the the program that you want to use the db power up in order to get that music into your computer. And then from there, you can put in on apple and put on youtube where we want to do. And um then you'll be good to go. And thank you for your call.
right? Let's come to arizon where I live. Scott in scot, steal arizona. Glad to have you with us.
Hyder kim, hey, thanks for having me today.
What on your mind?
So um I deleted actually deleted some vacation photos on my cell phone. And IT went past the thirty days if they were in the trash file and wondering if there's anyway to recover them off for the hard drive on my cell phone. I I did a little research on the net and there's some programs and stuff out there, but i'm always hesitant in loads something know loads something on my my laptop or my cell phone if i'm not sure what IT.
It's tough when you start deleting photos you're like. And especially if a lot of time has gone by because just when you know everybody else knows, like when you delete a file, it's not really gone, okay, it's still there. It's just that the markers for that particular file location is like, okay, if you need to say something over here and over here and get some free space.
So ah so what you wanted to if you delete something accidentally and you want to get IT back, you want to try not to use that device as much as possible OK to have the bk the biggest chances of success. Now we might want to check you haven't already check any type of cloud back up service that you're using. I don't know you're using that, maybe amazon, google, I cloud, sam and cloud. So because sometimes if you you go into those cloud accounts actually going into the cloud account, not on your phone, just stood IT on your desktop, is that you may be able to find those in the deleted folder, if that's not the case. What kind of fort do you have?
Um android damson up.
So so what you wonder that is depending upon which phone that you have, like you said android, you said android or samsung, is that there's a program called recover a and not saying that because i'm from new jersey and I can say recover a, it's recover. Come on going to to look OK with recover. It's R E C U V A.
I ve used IT myself for years and IT works on just about any device out there. And if IT can't recover those photos, you know, that's when you can start looking at a professional data recovery service. But there was cost a bunch.
It's hard to say if they're to be able to get off your phone. If recover won't be able to do that, there is one other program that you can try to it's called doctor phone and that's with an dr F O N E. And that has, uh, a pretty good recovery process as well. So where are the photos from?
Ah oh .
my yeah.
We had a twelve day groups to the society islands in the cook islands. We just absolutely wonderful.
You know what? Having been there myself, I think you just need to go back.
great.
I mean, you just need to say, come on, honey, we had to redo the photos. So so what was the highlight? What was the best part?
So I guess where yeah i've done that .
did did you see the short?
Yeah i've been i've been yeah we did see some sharks in some manner ation wetness. Um never threatened at all. But yeah I was quite exciting.
So when I was there a couple years ago, I was, I was stupid diving with my husband and then my husband's regs, something happened with this. what? He had to go up.
Okay, so I was down there with our sun. em. I was not very down. Like, like thirty, forty feeds down nothing. And so the demonstrate comes back down and he signals at me and and like, we're going to go this way talking about you.
Like, aren't gona swim this and then I we go, like, I don't know, a couple of feet and then I look up and I see a boat, okay, and I see sharks circling the boat and I look at the diameter, said, I am not going that way. Like kay, that something like this just is not in my future to to swim even near that boat and so he's like, no, no, no, it's safe. And so all this is happening under water with hand signs, right? And so i'm like, I look at like, no, i'm not going that way.
I'm not going that way and he's like, alright, will go around and we have we swim around the sharks and so we get up to the surface. And then um the I said to the demonstrate said, you know I said I I said just let you know I if this happens again, i'm not swiming anywhere near the shirts he said they wouldn't hurt you. He said those are all the newly weds.
They put their feet in the water and then they jump, and then the sharks get close to their feet. And I said, I said, so does anybody ever get like, bit and like, oh yeah, everyone to know. I like.
We're not doing that at all. So yes, to try the recover or the doctor phone or you're just in a home, go at burb. I know it's a burden, but somebody has to do IT.
Let me tell if you just just too danger shy to come on a big time. Radio shows on podcast, I still want to get your questions. Go to come and do up com.
And at the top of the pages, link that says, ask kim. I read every single note that you send me again that's commanded a com, and I link on the top is, ask kim, right? Let's talk about that video doorbell.
You know, if your video doorbell got hacked, IT can reveal a lot about you and even let no goods and on your private recordings. So I wanted to make sure that you're keeping IT secure, just like everything else in your life. Always give your video doorbell really good password.
I want you to make sure that you always change from the factory default. You know, a lot of people don't. And then you need to give you a good password.
We're going about twelve to sixteen characters, upper case, lower case numbers Carriers, you know the drill, and then make sure that attack on two factor of ethics. Because with this, a hacker needs more than just your password. Do they need that special code? Is gonna sent to your phone? And the odds of them having both your password and the two F A and phone pretty low.
Make sure that you also turn on automatic updates. Super important. Around fifty percent of americans don't regularly update their devices. And these door bill came manufacturer.
They always really some security patches, and before I leave you make sure that you entered to win that brand new iphone sixteen pro go to win from kim 点 com。 This program is a copyright production of western multimedia entertainment and protected by the copyright laws.
