In addition, he won the 2016 ETF Lifetime Achievement Award. Ross explains how SPY, the S&P 500 ETF offered by State Street, became one of the biggest exchange-traded funds. He also discusses the origin of the Spyders Gold Trust, which briefly was bigger than SPY.
